Ive's comeback is disappointing?

I actually listened to it and it's kind of weird. The songs are very similar. Xoxz, I don't really like it at all. Each song sometimes seems like art to me, and other times it seems boring and not original. Maybe I got carried away by the trailer, which was beautiful, and I was expecting a song like Accendio. 18. A thought on dating rumors and collaborations with female artists

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I won't get into the situation with that's happening with Jimin currently because there's so many things going on there, but it made me think about something that's been bothering me for a while. If male idols are going to hang out with female idols, date them, and quite literally beg for collaborations with them, they and their companies should be prepared to defend these women from their fans. Especially in the case of women working with male idols. It's ridiculous how "criticism" turns into thinly veiled misogyny every time without fail. You can argue that idols don't have control over their fans and I even agree to an extent, but it wouldn't take much effort to go on a platform and say "please leave this person alone". Of course, companies won't do this because they rely so much on parasocialism but I can't help but feel disappointed whenever this happens. And some idols absolutely have the power to intervene if they wanted to. submitted by /u/3urodyne [link] [comments]

19. I got Rain (Jung Jihoon)’s autograph when I was a kid

I hope Rain counts as OG kpop… Was going through some old photos and stumbled on a little piece of nostalgia so thought I’d share it here. Back in 2003 my friend’s dad worked at a TV station so we got to visit a Music Bank recording. I ended up hanging out backstage and actually met Rain(Jung Jihoon) in the dressing room. He signed this for me and even took a photo together (though I have no idea where that picture went now) He was still a total rookie back then so I remember being able to chat with him quite a bit. Such a wild memory looking back! submitted by /u/Zestyclose-Land7135 [link] [comments]

22. Baekhyun's puppy interview and photos were released, I'm honestly kinda curious with how/ the stats behind the scenes with how it helps with the adoption.

  • reddit.com language

I've been catching up on my video and SNS feed in general since not having access to it for a little while and I just finished/ almost finishing the interview featuring Baekhyun 'Baekhyun Puppy Video' and not only was it adorable, and his hair almost perfectly matched with the pink background (amazing colour matching job by the team lol), but it kinda got me curious about the process of the whole thing and if they ever talked or promoted the puppies. Basically what I mean is they usually have a various amount of celebrities including Western artists, come to do puppy or cat interviews, often promoting adoptable pets, cats/puppies from the L.A US area. I truly have various feelings in general against BuzzFeed but I really like this idea and have enjoyed many of their latest interviews, but for whatever reason I couldn't help but wonder what shelters they use, and or if a post has ever been made to promote and or thank the artist for the help in promoting those adoptable little ones? I'm not the biggest stats person or anything its just a thought that came to mind when watching the interview. I'm not the biggest on Twitter/Instagram so it is possible I've missed stuff like that. submitted by /u/Responsible-Box2876 [link] [comments]

23. Twice made it to the supermarket playlist.

Fredericksburg, VA, US resident here. Recent but very intense Once. I work overnight at a regional grocery store chain called Wegmans and they have the usual music that you hear in stores. You will randomly get a Dynamite, and of late I caught Moonlit Floor and Handlebars playing but BTS/BP have been mainstream radio play for a good minute here. So imagine my glee when on the playlist comes "it's Megan The Stallion...and Twice" Strategy came on the music! I caught OMG in Wawa one time but aside from BTS/BP songs and solos from those members I have never heard a K-Pop song on random retail playlist. I was so happy and wanted to share. submitted by /u/CocoabrothaSBB [link] [comments]

Did you know the characters derphy and Sussie were actually inspired by the minhwa today. Even in the dazzling K-pop universe, its characters channel power, identity, and the voice of the people through humor and music, capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide. *Han : A deeply rooted Korean sentiment of sorrow and longing *Minhwa : Folk paintings that depict the everyday lives of the people submitted by /u/GeologistOver3808 [link] [comments]

28. REI’s look in XOXZ was fantastic

I am not even into IVE like that, and I do like Liz and Yujin. However, I watched the M/V, and Rei just kept catching my eye. As much as I want to praise the bob, it was also her presence that was so memorable (although this look is actually insane). Definitely her era submitted by /u/Jumpy_Site4831 [link] [comments]

31. Ik imma get hate for this but am I the only one who thinks the Niki tattoo isn’t a big deal?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’m a big enhypen fan and Niki is my bias don’t get me wrong but Niki getting a tattoo and everyone going crazy over it and some sexualizing it is just weird. Everyone is kinda obsessing over it when it’s just a tattoo and I feel like idols should be able to do whatever they want like dating for example without being bombarded or harassed about it. Sometimes people really be treating idols like their not human, they’ll go crazy over them like drinking water or just breathing and it’s weird. Some fans even are delusional and believe the idols are their boyfriends when they don’t even know you exist. I just hate invasive or fake weird fans that sexualize the idols or ask them uncomfortable or inappropriate questions. His tattoo it’s really not the biggest thing in the world. It’s cool sure but people are like zooming in and acting like Sherlock homes trying to figure it out what it is when he can reveal it on his own. like calm down it’s a tattoo. Don’t mean to offend anyone just wanted to share, and wonder what other fans think submitted by /u/Neat-Combination7792 [link] [comments]

32. What is with Kpop fans and thinking they have to be a certain age to listen to a song?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I really wish people would stop thinking they have to be a certain age just to enjoy a song. If you like a song and want to support the group then go for it? Music is ageless and this weird mentality of thinking your age matters when it comes to songs in general is one of the few critiques about kpop fans that I just really don’t like. It makes a lot of spaces feel less enjoyable since a lot of people are hyper focusing on the wrong things and automatically make weird assumptions about people they don’t know due to how old they are. submitted by /u/Designer_Bridge_8701 [link] [comments]

34. Which underrated Kpop group deserves way more attention and why?

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hello Kpop stans! We all know BTS BLACKPINK and TWICE are like the big three in the Kpop world. But what about those groups that are basically ninjas sneaking around making bangers but nobody notices? Who is your lowkey favorite group or solo artist that deserves a parade or at least a shoutout? Is it their insane dance moves their vocals that hit different or just their crazy personalities that make you laugh? For me its gotta be ITZY — they are basically the secret sauce of Kpop! Their energy is insane their performances always fire and honestly they deserve way more love and trophies. (My bias is Ryujin <3) Drop your hidden gems below and lets start a fan club or something lol submitted by /u/Impressive_Fan6968 [link] [comments]

35. what kpop songs that hold special memories to you?

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i've been listening to 2NE1 songs for the past two weeks and it's brought back so many memories to the point that i almost teared up. during high school, i was (and still am) a Blackjack so i listen to them A LOT. mine was 2NE1 - I Am The Best since it was my first comeback as a Blackjack and i remember vividly how the whole class and i were jamming to this song every lunch break. it makes me miss my teenage years sometimes because everything was so much more exciting back then. what's yours? submitted by /u/Sure_Natural_9494 [link] [comments]
