9. Recommend me songs based on my fave k-pop songs Playlist

I've been thinking of this for a while. A while back, I made a Playlist of my most favourite songs from some of the groups I follow and I want to add more songs to the Playlist that are similar to the ones I've added. So I would love for some recs and I will listen to all of them and if I like them, I will add them into the Playlist. Just wanted to say its been a while since I updated it so new songs that were released might not be here submitted by /u/Bambi_HSJW [link] [comments]

10. Are dress codes a good thing for concerts or do they put pressure on fans to purchase more?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately and just wanted to see what the common consensus is here. Are dress codes a good thing for concerts or do they put pressure on fans to purchase more? On one hand it's nice to see everyone uniform/similar in a venue. On the other, if the dress code is something that not many people have, there may be pressure for people to go out and buy stuff just to fit in which may affect the persons budget (considering the current economic climate and price of concerts etc). Especially if the dress code is a specific style rather than just a colour (like Kai choosing leopard print for his encore show). What do you think. A good thing or an unnecessary expense? submitted by /u/Aethermist88 [link] [comments]

Cortis GO!! Could reach a new heights of streams right now if they just released it on streaming platforms sooner not 2 weeks after the song already got so many recognition and go viral but people can't stream the song so they just used youtube audio or download it ilegally. They did the same thing with TXT when they refuse to promote anti romantic when the song got so viral on tiktok and there's alot of famous influencers that do the dance challenge even tho they're not really a kpop fans. submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

22. There are valid criticisms on how kpop management is done but I'm always baffled by how western people think asian people should look, I've yet to see a kpop idol who looks like a western child let alone identical ones lmao is this facial blindness and ethnocentrism?

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This came from a western pop culture thread and I find a lot of these subreddits are ready to talk shit about eastern industries in a pin drop all the while they deal with the same things like artists going broke and being slaves to companies due to advanced deals and 360 deals or managers running off with their stuff but because it's foreigners it's all the more vile. You also have people who have committed crimes like Mark Whalberg, Travis Scott and Justin Timberlake with nipplegate yet they still have jobs or amount of famous people who are seemingly psy ops too like ?? how is kpop a dark cult when people like sexyy red, drake, tom cruise or joe rogan exist bro 😭 there's literally a hollywood to american military pipleline where they promote neo imperialism through the United States Department of Defense and the film industry of the United States. 23. What do you think made New Jeans disappointed?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

New Jeans was one of the top 4th gen gg...There music like Omg, Hype Boy, Did to,Super Shy were bangers.Yet they decided to take such a huge step...obviously they knew it would affect tgeir momentum....but despite all tgese they decided to part ways from the company...now Hybe is capable of handling many bgs and ggs together ....txt and enphyphen dubted in 2019, 2020 now we have two global gg that too under same label, but New Jeans decided to quit...Do you think they were not happy with the creative direction that the newly formed management of Ador (arguably heavily influenenced by Hybe) decided them to take after MHJ left?or was it something else? submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

24. Inactive 1st & 2nd gen groups: what do they do to make a living?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I'm asking about those groups / group members who are not so active anymore. I know music industry is really tough, it's hard to make money there, so how do those artists get by when they haven't released anything in the past 2-3 years? I'm not talking about groups like Suju or 2pm, whose members have acting jobs, variety shows, and solo careers. For example, Infinite and Highlight. Half of the members do not have solo albums, they only did 1 tour in the past 2 years? Can 1 tour last them 2 years of living expenses? And what about other groups: TeenTop, Mblaq, SS501, 2am, half of ZEA, most of BlockB? What do they do for a living? And then there's the 1st gen: most of Shinhwa, half of GOD, most of Sechskies, half of HOT, and many others who were not nearly as big. Do they just live off their savings? I know Minwoo of Shinhwa had enough saving that would've lasted him a long time but he got scammed (or blackmailed) and now he has nothing other than occasional show appearances and I don't see how he can support himself (and his new family) just with that. I honestly feel bad for these groups of people. They started very young, at the time when contract terms were very unfavorable for the artists, they were basically only trained to perform on stage, most were not given lessons in songwriting/producing, and now that they already past their prime, I wonder what options they have to make a living outside the industry or in the back-end operation of the entertainment/music industry. Most of these guys are the breadwinners of their families, too. If anyone has any anecdotes or something that support their speculations, please do share. submitted by /u/Dramatic-Bicycle6752 [link] [comments]
