There are so many songs like that but lets go with the most recent one probably, In your fantasy by Ateez. And don't get me wrong, I love Ateez and the song is amazing but only when I don't really listen to the lyrics. I’ve watched all their content. I’ve watched their documentary from start to finish and I still don’t get it. I’m at a complete loss. That one man from the A&R team said Juhoon is smart but I’m not getting any of that. Juhoon may be book smart but he doesn’t seem to have anything compelling to say. I find Martin to be far more insightful. Another supposed strength of Juhoon’s is his past activities as a child model but if anything that makes me just side eye his parents. Was bighit a&r hoping Juhoon’s previous activities would bring the team clout? There’s far more clout from just being a bighit group alone. Not to mention how the other members bring SO much to the table. I’ve only seen Juhoon be abysmal at pretty much everything the other members excel at. If there’s something he excels at, it’s being unable to speak without unnaturally puckering his lips. That and speaking at a speed that puts zootopia sloths to shame. He also gives me massive Korean incel ptsd and I’m not at all going to be surprised if he ends up having a xdinary heroes junhan-esque controversy. I’ve never been put off by someone to this extent before so much so that I can’t stop picturing the group without him. Personal reservations and conjecture aside, objectively what does he bring to the table? Because I’m half in love with this group but Juhoon alone is putting a huge damper on stanning because he’s such a perpetual annoyance. I'm someone who only listens to 1st gen kpop and and follows a handful of 2nd gen groups so im not very well acquainted with the newer gen groups. Now I need to preface i love both songs and both groups (my pookies mwah) but has anyone else noticed just how similar ab6ix's song stupid is to treasures of the same name, which btw for the songs to alr sound as similar as they do, calling it the same title is a wild choice but go off, but the similarity is so uncanny and ik ab6ix aren't as big so idk if people have really talked about this or made any connection but the song starts off almost the same and if you sing treasures 'stupid' chorus over the ab6ix chorus it matches, to the point where on the last chorus/section of the ab6ix song they say the words 'stupid' at the exact same point treasure do in there's. Again this is no hate to ab6ix but has anyone else noticed this?!?!? ok what i mean is we all go through the honeymoon phase with k-pop where it’s all new and fun… then for me at least it turned into a toxic relationship lol mainly because i’d like the songs but the k-pop environment and fandom is exhausting dude and then my main group enlisted so for a good 2-3 years i listened to no k-pop my feeds had zero petty and chronically online takes no fanwars etc i was genuinely on a high. i didn’t realise how much seeing such negative content online affected me mentally. because now my group are back lots of people are saying more hate etc and it ruins it for me. i want to exit the k-pop community again because i think it would be best for my mental health which is so stupid hahaha. does. anyone else feel happier away from the community too submitted by /u/sonotmeanttobe [link] [comments]
