As the title says, I was friends with former kpop stars. Ask anything. I have proof but I rather try to protect thier identity. If mods request proof I'll show. submitted by /u/Capable-Profit-3577 [link] [comments]
I've noticed in the last 2 years especially kpop mvs have really moved away from the big sets and bright colors that was a signature of the genre for years. Watching the new group cortis' mv it made me realize a lot of 5th gen bgs have debuted with this very natural light/retro looking color grading mvs completely shot outdoors in very unassuming locations like the streets of la or something. Even bp who are known for their extremely grand sets in their mvs went for a pretty muted outdoor location for their new song and the mv too seemed pretty subdued color and opulence wise compared to their past work. Could this be a reason for the general trend of lower views in kpop mvs these days or just a current trend in music videos everywhere? I know that a lot of groups still do the bright colors and exuberant sets like ive in heya but in general theres definitely been a huge shift away from what makes kpop mvs distinctly kpop submitted by /u/PrimaryTomato3310 [link] [comments]
I remember I posted something about It helping bring a massive wave to kpop, then I just got pure slander about it. Like people told me this isn't helping at all, yet millions of people have been brought in by the film. Then another dude told me that Korea was closed off the western culture of pop until this movie. So I'm generally curious. Not looking for a fight. submitted by /u/calmrestsleep [link] [comments]

Day 35 Results: Red Velvet win by 26 votes! Vote for your favorite and as always poll closes in 24 hours! If you're unsure of who to vote for, here's a couple songs to help your decision: Orange Caramel - Shanghai Romance Orange Caramel - Magic Girl Orange Caramel - Abing Abing f(x) - Hot Summer f(x) - 4 Walls f(x) - NU ABO First Half Second Half Disclaimer: This tournament is not a “comparison”. The seeds were randomized and I didn’t pick the matchups. The songs picked are amongst their most popular because they’re easy to recognize. If you have another song suggestion you may leave it in the comments but please refrain from complaining about the song not being included. submitted by /u/PushOffTheGround [link] [comments]

Pull up to the studio with our pants low, here we go Drippy, just like a drain that's leaky Callin' a new wave, like Poseidon Martin, (That's so fire) play that beat (That's so fire) Lit up the studio, make night bright as day We made one today and this track is so sick Bring the levels up, this song kicks, it runs the city submitted by /u/SwimIcy9877 [link] [comments]
After watching several dance practices, I noticed a lot of their choreography contains house dance (fast footwork, fluid movements, etc.). A few other 5th-gen groups also focus a lot on dance-heavy performances, so I want to know what other people think. submitted by /u/Chammy333 [link] [comments]
On one Fancam shared in twitter, Hori7on Marcus mentioned it’s a dream come true—he waited 5 years for this pro gamer moment. Tho I don’t see myself stanning his group anymore (coz of all the issues about the group and their company)…this kid will always have a special part my heart coz he such an inspiration to us (his fans). We really admire his wit and goal driven personality. I can’t help but smile while reading and watching the clips about his game coz he’s been pretty vocal about his dream of becoming a gamer. At least I get to see the sparks in his eyes again. Their fans are still in denial, but his group has no sparks anymore(unlike their early days). submitted by /u/Conscious-Cap-7250 [link] [comments]

What are some iconic or legendary songs that will go down/have gone down in kpop history? Songs like SNSD's Into the New World, BLACKPINK's DDU-DU DDU-DU, or TWICE's What is Love? For a more recent example, I think ILLIT's Magnetic would make it in as well! I just listed gg examples, but any kpop song is an option! submitted by /u/Adorable_Trash6622 [link] [comments]
So, at this year's award shows, and K-Pop Demon Hunters will be a part of it. who would you choose to play Mira, Rumi and Zoey, if you were given the chance to pick among the female idols out there? submitted by /u/mmld_dacy [link] [comments]
