Seems like it’s going to be 5 member group again which proves me that hybe doesn’t really like anything bigger than 6 members anymore lol. That aside the members seem to have an interesting historial. The members in question are (allegedly): James 🇹🇼/🇹🇭(2005) Martin 🇨🇦🇰🇷 (2008) Juhoon 🇰🇷 (2008) Seonghyeon 🇰🇷 (2009) Keonho 🇰🇷 (2009) They're pretty young (as expected lol) Out of the bunch James used to be part of the Trainee A project and is credited in the production and writing of Deja vu by TXT, Magnetic by ILLIT, Miracle by TXT and was also involved in the choreography of Cherish by ILLIT. is credited in the production and writing of Deja Vu by TXT, Miracle by TXT, Magnetic by ILLIT, Pierrot by LE SSERAFIM, Outside by ENHYPEN. Juhoon used to be a child model and participated in an mv with Ella of MEOVV. The other 2 guys seem to not have participated in anything before since there's no more info about them. Personally I’ll be tuning in cuz there hasn't been any big kicker bg debut this year so I want to see how this goes. Honestly none of the rookies this year impacted me in any way outside of h2h but their ditched their debut sound and close your eyes debut song but they’re a project group 😬 It’s been 6 years since big hit last group so I want to see what they have to offer. Hybe in general seem to have cracked the bg formula so they probably hit it off but I wonder what concept are will they be going for 🧐 probably something light but big hit team it’s pretty creative so this might be interesting. submitted by /u/maonyuz [link] [comments]
This is something I’ve been thinking about for a while, as i came across numerous fan made videos on social media about how fluent or good their idols language of conducts. It’s common in the K-pop fandom to hear fans praise certain idols for being fluent in Japanese and even English too, But when I watch interviews (even recent ones), many of them still speak mostly in kr language, say just a few simple phrases in japanese or english, and often rely on a translator for the bulk of the conversation. They might understand some parts, but their responses are usually short and basic, and the conversation doesn’t flow naturally. That made me think , if this were a regular person working or studying in an english-speaking country or japan, and they had this level of communication, most people wouldn’t say they’re fluent. They’d probably be considered beginners or at best lower-intermediate. For example, if someone were living in the UK or US and still needed a translator and couldn’t fully express themselves in english, we wouldn’t consider that fluency. So I’m genuinely curious are idols being held to a different standard when it comes to language proficiency? Is it more about showing effort than actual ability? Are we, as fans, unintentionally lowering the bar when it comes to what counts as fluent?. Me, myself am not a native english speaker and I’ve been learning english for more than 10 years. I might be at an intermediate level now, and I can communicate decently but I still wouldn’t call myself fluent. I still make mistakes and have gaps in understanding, and I know there’s always more to learn. I’ve also been learning another language for about 2 years now, and I understand how hard it is to reach even a conversational level in any new language. So this thought doesn’t come from a place of criticism, it’s more a reflection from someone who’s actively going through the language-learning process and wondering how fluency is defined so differently when it comes to idols. submitted by /u/Party_Nervous [link] [comments]
If your bias hasn't debuted solo yet, what would their solo look like? What kind of songs would you like them to perform? If they've already debuted, think about what you'd like for their next comeback. Here are my wishes: Xiaoyun (WayV) I would love to see him trying a cool and rather upbeat sound. He needs a song that showcases his beautiful voice the best! Xiaoyun has a very emotional vocal tone and a super strong stage presence and he would definitly shine in tracks like "What a Man Gotta Do" by the Jonas Brothers or even a more latino-styled song like "Bam Bam" by Camila Cabello. Yeoreum (WJSN) I'd love to see her get a cool and dance-focused track like Dua Lipas "Physical" or "Training Season". Since she is very underrated and gets overshadowed in WJSN due to the amount of other members with stronger vocal abilities, I really want to see her break out of her cute concepts and show us how good she really is at dancing! She got seriously so much potential and I need to see her command the stage again :D I'd love to hear your thoughts! submitted by /u/My_Opinionchill [link] [comments]

now before you say anything, I’m not talking about their individual talent. they obviously put really talented people, and Tarzzan, in this group. I’m talking about how GAGGED everyone is over their mid ass song and especially Tarzzan’s rap. if you can call it that. I kept seeing tiktoks of people saying he owned the song and shit so I finally listened to it and what the hell was that? if this is what people consider good rap we’re cooked… also, why is everyone ignoring the fact that he wore braids AGAIN? yg idols really get away with anything. submitted by /u/StraightHalf2502 [link] [comments]

Since Soojin isn't coming back to idle, and if cube wants to actually take a new stance on someone who fell victim to false accusations, I think she'd be a great fit. She could still put her idol training to use alongside having an acting career. She dances well and her voice is kind of like a blend of Jian's and Huiyeon's. They seriously cannot continue to fumble this group. Chowon got screwed over enough. This post may have been influenced 420. I am talking about JYPE divisions, I know that SQU4D did try to cater to general public's taste and trends by releasing Roller Coaster( predictable and nice sound), Love me like this (repetitive chorus, no switch ups, it did go viral). But after Dash they firmly grabbed that direction and are just powering through everything. I love that direction honestly (I am fan of both groups). Now, Itzy's situation is not quite the same. To be frank, they don't have the same grace public gives to Nmixx as one of the best vocalists nor as "younger" group that might still take off (personally, Nmixx is in the very good place, right now, for frequently experimenting groups). Still, I wish Blum would just ignore baseless negative opinion and stick to one direction they deem best, which will retain current fans and attract new. The fanbase is pretty loyal and ready to like almost anything they produce, in my humble observation, so I hope they'll stop listening to confusing feedback where Sneakers chart in Korea, but not so much worldwide while Cake does get into top 100 in some charts but isn't received well majorly due to Cake Cake Cake. I am saying that many of their songs are super fun and good quality, even if they don't go viral. I really liked Untouchable, Mr. Vampire was super fresh, Imaginary Friends is my anthem. They should evolve Itzy's sound without a care for non constructive criticism and acknowledge some of the valid suggestions. From I what see and somewhat agree: 1. Give Itzy songs that fit their vocal range. Get the producer that is familiar with their range and produce the song for them. Sometimes(Cheshire) their voices do sound nasal of pitchy, while I don't really pay attention to that, it's important to get a better reception eventually. 2. Improve the creative process and shy away from their existing "formulas", it's time to go va banque. Don't get me wrong, their albums are always cohesive and many B-sides are a treat. I just wish they didn't solely focus on making title track that's meant to go viral due to "catchy" but awkwardly integrated parts. Perhaps, it's just my gripe, but I do miss choruses with fuller sound and melody. Anyways, maybe this one is 50/50. 3. I kinda wish they would post Japanese releases to their official channels, they don't get much loves despite being so good! Ringo, Bla Bla Bla, Sugarholic, Algorithm - all of them are such a treat and deserve wider range of promotion. Anyways, I might be wrong or perhaps I said nothing new, let me know your takes too. My final message: BLUM stop stressing, Itzy are fine and they can still climb higher. submitted by /u/slackeronvacation [link] [comments]

Why does everyone suddenly hate cute concept / cute songs? I’ve noticed ever since illits “do the dance” and hearts2hearts style, everyone on twitter (certain Stan’s) are calling it “toddler music/nursery rhymes”. As if groups haven’t been making cute girly music since years ago… why all of a sudden the uproar for this specific music style? They’re praising All day project for bringing back “grown music”. Like girl these groups have different styles… It’s just infuriating seeing all these twitter Stan’s and antis disregard an entire concept. It’s mostly men I’ve noticed behind these accounts with the viral tweets against cute songs. submitted by /u/Ineedhelp23413r828 [link] [comments]
Not gonna name the group because it'll just start an unnecessary hate train. I've always known idols are put through hell and back with diets and surgeries to have their unachievable look, but being put face to face with them also using a filter to just slightly thin and lengthen their already thin thighs? The difference was so small, and it's crazy none of the comment said anything about the glitch. The comments were actually praising the idols for their looks/figures. What's really done it though is now I can't help but notice these filters on every other dance challenge from different groups (both female and male artists). The vertical stretch or overly face slimming is crazy uncanny and I can't believe I just never noticed it. Some of these artists I've seen in person and just figured me thinking they looked shorter, etc than I expected was on me. Maybe I noticed something seemed a little odd in a video but the comments never said anything so I figured why bother. But they're putting on crazy filters and I don't see anyone acknowledging it! I feel like my eyes were opened and are being held open and I just cannot see things the same. Their legs are long for days and they have giant shoes and yet no one else is noticing how weird it looks?? Not to say I'm not still listening to and enjoying the music but things like buying merch or attending every concert had already been slowing down for me and this sorta sealed the deal. I kinda can't believe how in the fog I've been and I'm kinda glad this one small glitch took me out of it so I can just step back and be reminded this is what the industry is. Like I knew how fake the industry was but now I actually have it in mind! submitted by /u/joyleaf [link] [comments]
Chat, is this even reyal? This highlights the complex and problematic dynamics between idols, agencies, and their dedicated fanbases in the K-pop industry. submitted by /u/Stock-Command-1187 [link] [comments]
This may seem like a very weird question but I had a friend (friend X) who told me a few days ago that an idol (idol X)I like is dating another idol (idol Y). I won't be revealing names but heres the general gist. Friend X, told me her friend (friend Y) that I don't know showed her a picture on her phone of idol X and idol Y. Friend X didn't tell me if the idols were in a certain type of action but from what she told me, they're dating. Basically, friend Y is borderline saesang. Friend Y is a station head that runs like high quality photos of idols in private and public, either like at airports, flights, restraunts or even like filming sets and neighborhoods. Disclaimer: I don't know friend Y at all so I don't know what level she is at but friend X told me that friend Y spent around 100k usd on these idols (and others). So I don't mind idols dating at all and don't overthink but friend X told me the idols have been dating for two years. If this whole thing is true, that would mean one of the idols would've been a minor (around beginning highschool age) and one would've been around graduating college age if they were dating (yes the age gap is quite big). It also kind of bothers me that one of the idols is literally my age and I would never date someone who has that age gap with me. In conclusion, I want to keep liking and crushing? on idol X but I feel a little conflicted. I've liked the idol for around 5 years now and I've spent a lot on the group that the idol is in. If the two are really dating, I wouldn't really mind that much except for how I would feel a little weird for liking someone who is taken. Any thoughts on this and how I should view this whole situation? The whole thing for me is I don't like how one of the idols is my age and how I feel kind of uncomfortable? for liking the idol (like visualwise + omg x is so hot and cute wise). I'm not actually like omg I'm gonna mary and date and I want the idol I want to myself kind of like but it still feels weird if yk what I mean. submitted by /u/Super-Description317 [link] [comments]
For me it's the Red Velvet Psycho teaser images. Everyone looked beautiful in a very eerie way. I also feel like I gravitate more towards GG concept looks. What are some of of yours? submitted by /u/Chutneysandwich16 [link] [comments]
