I've been watching my favorite dance breaks from my favs, but I'm sure I'm missing a ton. What are some great dance breaks that others should check out? submitted by /u/GodzillasBoner [link] [comments]
Member A (popular member) gets few/least lines: Where is member A? They got shafted. It’s unfair. I dislike the song/video. I wish A had more parts 😭 Member B (not popular) gets least lines: don’t complain. Maybe B didn’t want more lines. The song is short so not everybody will get lines. The song doesn’t fit their voice. If anyone complain they are B akgaes/solo stans. Unfortunately I see this quite often. It’s only unfair if a member has a lot of fans. If it’s an unpopular member, line distribution isn’t a big deal. submitted by /u/taejinkook28 [link] [comments]
Well, the goal here is not to discuss the Kiss of Life controversy, this subject has already been discussed exhaustively here on reddit and in several other places. The point I want to raise is that, although in the West Kiss of Life is being seen very badly due to the racism controversy, I think it is obvious to everyone that the group has not had its reputation affected in Korea. In fact, not only in Korea, but I would say throughout Asia. I think a good proof of this is that the group continues its activities normally in Korea even after the controversy, for example, going to university festivals and appearing on TV shows, as if nothing had happened. And in the middle of this, we have several Kpop idols who continue to interact normally with the group. Irene and Seulgi, Bibi, Yena, BAEKHYUN, these are just a few examples. Look, I'm not trying to condemn any of these idols, but when you see the reaction of fans on the internet whenever an idol appears alongside Kiss of Life, it will always be full of comments about how the idol can't choose who he interacts with, or that he probably didn't know about the controversy. Look, if it were just one or the other case, these excuses from the fans could be acceptable, but with so many idols interacting normally with Kiss of Life in just over two months after the controversy, and with international fans eternally showing their dislike for the group openly, it's hard to believe that there wouldn't be a single one of these idols bothered enough to at least post a note about the situation. Deep down, I think the fans don't want to accept the possibility that their favorite idols aren't that different from the average Korean and that they also might not see any big problem with Kiss of Life's actions. And how do you feel about your favorite idol having to interact with Kiss of Life or with any other person that you consider problematic? Note: Once again, this post is not intended to throw hate at anyone, the examples I mentioned were just examples, my objective here was just to discuss the behavior of the South Korean public regarding the controversy and how fans deal with their idols having to interact with problematic people. submitted by /u/Quirky_Scratch9168 [link] [comments]
I’m saying this as someone who supported Katseye since Day 1 — the girls did not deserve this rollout. The core issue here is not the members. It’s not even HYBE. The issue is Geffen. From the very beginning, the creative direction has been completely off. The songs feel like a parody of K-pop — generic, overproduced, and emotionally empty. There’s no cohesion, no identity, and no real connection to the global pop sound that HYBE has proven it can execute. Just look at Jungkook’s “GOLDEN” — an album entirely developed by HYBE’s teams in America. It was polished, international, cohesive, and authentic. It’s proof that HYBE can do global pop at the highest level without Geffen involved. Meanwhile, Geffen has literally admitted in the Dream Academy documentary that they “thrive off hate.” That explains a lot — including why they thought a song like “Gnarly” was a good idea. This isn’t about clout or virality. It’s about setting up a global girl group to actually succeed. Right now, Katseye is being creatively sabotaged by a label that doesn’t understand the assignment. The members are talented. The visuals are strong. The potential is real. But unless HYBE steps in and cuts Geffen out of the process before the EP drops, this whole thing is going to implode. Let HYBE’s global creative teams take over. There’s still time to fix this — but only if the people who actually know how to build stars are allowed to lead. I’m rooting for Katseye. I just don’t trust the people behind the curtain. submitted by /u/No-Musician5599 [link] [comments]

Recently started a new playlist for collecting songs with spellings in the lyrics, afte seeing the T.H.U.N.D.E.R in the Seventeen song. It doesn't have to be the song name tho (found this Reddit post about that, so I'd appreciate more songs where something else is spelled.) submitted by /u/liatism [link] [comments]

There was NEVER a time I thought a day would come when I’d write something like this. For those I once quietly judged for stepping away from K-pop or losing interest, I apologize deeply. I understand now that it’s a natural part of life’s changes. When I first started in K-pop, I was so hyped—delusional even—about becomng kpop idol to meet my biases, searching every single fact about them, staying up for comeback stages, getting unreasonably upset when someone said they hated K-pop, and keeping tabs on every scandal like it was life or death. You name it, I was probably in it. It was exciting, intense, and for a while, it made me feel something in a way nothing else did. I was glued to waiting music shows, waiting new K-drama episodes at 2 a.m. But now, the excitement has faded. The fire that once burned so bright inside me has dimmed. My taste in music has shifted, and I’ve decided to break my own shackles of only listening to K-pop. I’ve started exploring new sounds and genres that feel more aligned with who I am today. There have been moments that shook my love for this world—some dark events involving groups and scandals (I won’t name names) left me questioning everything. Fan wars, once just background noise, have become mentally draining rather than engaging. I’ve even missed out on new K-dramas, including ones I planned to watch, and I’m no longer keeping up with live streams or the constant social media buzz. It feels less like joy and more like obligation. I used to think living without K-pop would be the end of me — that my life would feel empty. But here I am, living it... and honestly, it’s not as bad as I thought it out to be. I’ve grown, my interests have shifted, and I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that sometimes, we just outgrow things we once loved deeply. And it's really okay. Now, I’m seriously considering deactivating my K-pop fan page on Instagram, a space that once meant so much to me (tho it has low engagement I used it mostly to check out my fav groups). It feels like an ending, but also the start of something new. Tbh I find it crazy that I've reached this point despite being into Kpop for only 5 years.... To K-pop: thank you for the memories, the music, the friendships, and everything that once made me feel alive. Though I’m stepping back, I still support the artists I loved and will listen when they release new songs. This is not a bitter goodbye, but a heartfelt farewell born from growth. I’m at a crossroads, and I hope you’ll root for me as I take this step. Here’s to an ending for a new beginning. — Thank you, and farewell. 🖤 submitted by /u/Sudden-Ingenuity3035 [link] [comments]

I really don't know what went through people's mind when Itzy released Sneakers, like I get it, you were expecting the Royal concept, ok its sad, you didn't get what you expected, but BOY that was One of the BIGGEST HATE TRAINS I have ever seen?! We have to make 2 things very clear: hating is useless! Like ok you don't like that genre of song, what happen to good manners?! "OMG no we must defend everyone! XYZ rights!" And then the same people hate a girl group so bad One of the members was on hiatus for almost 1 YEAR! And also, let's not forget the fact that all I saw was "Old Itzy is way better" or "Bring old Itzy back!" Old Itzy was back?! WITH SNEAKERS?! Mind you their debut was Dallas Dallas, first comeback was Icy! Not Wannabe, In the morning, etc? Im not saying that the songs were bad, but Sneakers had alot of Icy vibes, the playful aura and the lyrics which are clear metaphors!! Im bringing this because I saw alot of comments saying "Finally old Itzy is back" "I might be an Midzy again" in their recent comeback related posts, Yk, true fans, even if they disliked a song, don't hate their favs! Or should I say, no One should hate anyone, it doesnt solve anything! I hope they Shine and the hate stops! submitted by /u/Yuna_buns [link] [comments]
NewJeans who are widely known for their nostalgic throwback 90's concept and their use of Baltimore Club mixed with electropop and of course the prominent genre New Jack Swing where their whole name came from in the first place. FRNK made their biggest hit "OMG" but the rest of his songs were just B-sides. 250 made basically all hits but they were lead singles so got more promotion like their hits "Ditto" and "Attention". Many k-pop fans say FRNK's production is geared more towards westerners and say 250's is geared more towards South Koreans but after watching the video what do you think? submitted by /u/p0pcultured [link] [comments]
Let's see if you're truly a 3rd Gen fan. Try to guess the MV based on the random screenshots I took from it. Category: 3rd Gen only, Big 4 groups includes their subsidiary labels and sub-units (no bands and duos included), ranging from 2012 to 2019. Each group will feature only one MV. Some of them are extremely difficult if you're not a fan of the group or unfamiliar with the MV. Let's see how many you can get right without the hints below. submitted by /u/NatureSimple729 [link] [comments]

Just something I’ve been curious about. I’ve noticed that in a lot of idol content like vlogs, behind-the-scenes clips, and variety shows for male groups, the staff working closely with them (like camera crew, directors, etc.) are often women. At first, I assumed those roles would mostly be filled by men, especially when they involve physically running around with cameras or being in close contact with the idols. But I keep seeing a lot of female staff doing those jobs, which honestly is cool and impressive. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with women working in those roles, in fact, I love seeing it! But from the company’s point of view, I would’ve thought they might choose male staff instead to avoid unnecessary drama from overly possessive or toxic fans who can get weirdly jealous or start rumors when female staff are seen too close to idols. So it made me wonder , do companies intentionally hire more female staff because they think female staff can better understand what the (mostly female) fanbase wants to see in the content? Like they can spot the tiny gestures, reactions, or facial expressions that make us lose our minds 😂 I mean, let’s be real—we girls are experts at noticing every little detail about our faves. A male staff member might miss those golden moments that fans would totally freak out over! Would love to hear thoughts, especially if anyone has industry insight or has noticed the same thing! submitted by /u/BOOSHUA_17 [link] [comments]
I have been a fan of lisa for 4 years and i just noticed that lilies as a fandom is slowly losing it’s original spirit. It is saddening that lisa released alter ego, such a good concept, she gave it her all with all the mvs, collabs, appearances in oscars coachella etc. but lilies seem to not have the energy anymore to stream or atleast be more vocal in supporting her. More lilies are engaging in nonsense rage bait things that sometimes they are the ones who are attracting more hate to lisa. Not to mention the obsession of talking about the guy she is allegedly dating. Like i dont like the guy but i will not also create tweets or things that talks about that guy and just garner additional hate to fave. I guess to fellow lilies who will read this what are your thoughts , how can we revive the spirit of our fandom. So sad to see how we were one of the strongest fanbases and see it slowly lose it’s spirit. submitted by /u/Money-Key-1033 [link] [comments]
