18. What do you think is the average age group of the people who hate on new jeans?

I’m in my early-mid 20’s and personally everyone around my age absolutely love new jeans lol i also live in socal and we have a HUGE kpop community here. i’ve genuinely never met anyone who doesnt like new jeans but on the internet it seems like such a crazy amount of people hate them & cant stand them which is really shocking to me It seems like it’s mainly because of the whole legal case they got going on, which most people my age just doesnt keep up with things like that or care tbh So genuinely curious, i wonder what the average age group of the new jeans haters are submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]

22. i think groups should stop feeding their fans delusions/parasocial issues

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i didn’t want to single out just one group since i’m sure others do the same, but i think it’s really weird that groups feed some of their crazy fans delusions, my main example is BTS, but again im sure they are not the only group that does this. I think calling their fans cute names every once in a while is fine but to continuously call them your wives, girlfriends, babe, etc is kind of weird and honestly risky. that is how stalker/delusional fans are started. when jungkook was live on weverse he was talking about how fans need to stop trying to break into his home (which shouldn’t even happen wtf is wrong with some of yall). but then messed up when he said “only friends and family can come in, yeah armys are friends and family too but that’s it”. he should’ve not mentioned that last part because it’ll only encourage the weird fans even more. at the end of the day our fav male idols are REGULAR MEN. they have their types and own dating interests, they have family the need to protect , just because your idol calls you wifey on live doesn’t mean anything. these men don’t know you, and you don’t know them. we can enjoy their music and be fans of these people without trying to make them our “internet bfs”? take this post how you want. i’m not hating on any group, i am an army but would never treat any of the boys like my pets or try to convince myself that they’re gonna fall in love with me. you will not have you “y/n moment” with them. i wish they knew how to set boundaries with their fans but also understand how it can unfortunately damage their image :/ submitted by /u/babymochilala [link] [comments]

27. What's everyone's opinion on buying unofficial merch? Is it just a reasonable alternative because official merch is so overpriced, or does it cross the line and disrespect the artists?

So yes, do you think buying fake kpop merch is harmless or low key betraying the group? Considering how expensive, limited, and sometimes low-quality official merch can be, where do you draw the line? submitted by /u/Lucky-Trust5658 [link] [comments]

So, I had this idea a few years ago to write a Danganronpa or Alien Stage style fic with different groups. I already know I wanna add in BTS, Red Velvet and EXO, any other suggestions? submitted by /u/Calm-Comfortable2659 [link] [comments]

29. Which idol do you think doesn't get enough recognition for their visuals?

For me it has to be ILLIT'S Moka! This girl is just soooo beautiful to me. Everything from her facial features, her hair, and her body proportions are just absolutely flawless. Add in her top tier facial expressions and stage presence, she really is the total package. It blows my mind that she is rarely brought up in the top 5th gen visual conversation! submitted by /u/tzukani_ [link] [comments]

33. ONEUS hated by country for a misunderstanding years ago and now people are sending hate messages?!

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This has been bothering me for a while, and I don’t really have anyone to talk to about it, but I’m so frustrated with how people are spamming ONEUS (on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram) with the Saudi Arabian flag over a misunderstanding from years ago. It just keeps getting worse as time goes on, and no one seems to be talking about it! It all started when a tweet from Celebs Arabic and a TikTok video (posted by someone who just reposted the tweet) went viral in 2023. This happened a whole year after ONEUS had already visited Saudi Arabia. The tweet included mistranslated phrases from a fan meet in 2022 that claimed ONEUS said "there were no taxis. We partied in the desert and rode on camels" People took this at face value and believed it without question. The most frustrating part is that I looked into the Celebs Arabic Twitter page, and it doesn’t seem reliable OR official at all! There were no sources to back up what ONEUS supposedly said. The page mostly just reposts other people’s viral videos without credit, so I find it hard to believe people are trusting it without doing any research. It feels like a lot of people who don’t even know the group are just jumping on the hate train, spamming the comments simply because they assume ONEUS said something offensive. Some people from Saudi Arabia have said, "It doesn’t matter, they should have known better. ONEUS knew what they were saying, so it’s insulting to the country." But when asked why it was insulting, many just repeated that the camel comment was rude without offering any real explanation. Instead, the comment sections are flooded with Saudi flags, rude remarks about ONEUS’s music and appearance, and even comments mocking Korea. It’s honestly a little scary and confusing when looking at the comment sections and no one explaining anything unless somebody said something to them. It wasn’t until I saw a TikTok explaining the situation that I finally understood. Apparently, saying you rode a camel in Saudi Arabia can be taken as an insult because it implies the country is uncivilized or primitive. Many people are proud of how modern and developed their cities are, and they don’t want others thinking otherwise. I had no idea that saying riding a camel could be seen that way, and I really doubt that was ONEUS’s intention. They actually complimented the country, calling the buildings beautiful and fancy. Even talked about how they had to mind their actions to not cause offense. I truly don’t believe they meant any harm. They were probably just excited about experiencing something that’s not common in Korea and was likely suggested as a tourist activity. I'm sure there is something foreigners would like to see or wish to do in a country they have never visited. I completely understand why people would get upset if they believed their country was insulted. I really do. But spamming, attacking, and demanding an apology ( some even demand them to weep and beg for forgiveness) just for a comment about wanting to ride a camel seems extreme to me. It’s just frustrating because ONEUS really doesn’t mean any harm. They got excited over a camel and shared their story with fans but it was taken out of context and the wrong way. Now theyre being hated for no reason! submitted by /u/_Lychee_777 [link] [comments]

34. Went to a kpop concert last night after 9 years and i forgot how nice kpop fans were compared to U.S artist fans

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The last kpop concert i attended was kcon LA 2016. (the best lineup ever, if you ask me) After 2016, i just completely stopped listening to kpop. I’ve been to the weeknd concert, kendrick lamar, Sza, as well as huge EDM raves & none of them even come close to the type of manners and respect kpop fans have at concerts. I was at GD’s concert last night and the people infront of me kept looking back at me and making sure they’re not blocking my view & constantly moving their heads to the side / ducking so i can see better. (Even though these were inclined seatings and they were not blocking my view at all lol) It also felt like they kept making sure I was having fun because they noticed I was alone. They would often turn around and say things like “Its so fun omg😆” and honestly these small gestures meant a lot to me since it was my first Kpop concert after almost a decade. and my first time ever going to a concert alone. And i completely forgot about freebies at kpop concerts lol so many people randomly walked up to me and asked if i wanted a freebie. THIS DOESNT HAPPEN AT NON KPOP CONCERTS 😭😭😭😭😭 I’m korean but i still had a culture shock. Kpop community culture shock. Im so used to seeing people being angry drunks, fighting over not saying ‘excuse me’ and sometimes even physical fights at U.S artist concerts LMFAO submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
