38. Do you think solo Kpop artists like Jackson Wang are working with their fangroups and trying to influence other fans/public opinion?

  • 9 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I heard that there are a few, one European and one Asian fan account for Jackson Wang and that he’s working with them in order to spread rumors/hints via their public accounts, do you think this could be true? Is this today’s way of marketing? Do you think that he’s the one posting content on his social media accounts or that someone else is working for him as a social media manager? submitted by /u/Pretty-Cool-Girl [link] [comments]

39. I asked ChatGPT to draw me the average KPop-fan

40. Fan calls is one of the worst things that happened in kpop

  • 9 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I mean its good to have fan calls for people who cant fly out to certain places to go on a fan sign and that’s COMPLETELY understandable, BUT Fan calls are getting worse and worse let me give you some examples, like that one fan call that the girl in it is CLEARLY trying to seduce wooyoung from ateez like EW what are you doing?. It was just a really hard watch and she was wearing a low cut dress and the lights are off and she’s speaking in a raspy voice and showing him something like stop please!. And also the ones that like REALLY weird like that one felix fan call where she was like i am your owner and you have to act like my cat and felix is clearly trying to hold back his tears like girl if you have some mental illness that you want humans to be your cat go to a therapist please 🙏 and that yunho fan call where she said and I quote “i am supposed to look at your face but my eyes are looking somewhere else” it’s because he was wearing like a blazer and he had nothing under. There are much much more but i just wanna say I am so sad that idols go through this AWFUL experience of being humiliated and treated like this and i know many and many people have talked about this before but it’s not talked about enough and a simple solution for this is that an manger stays next to the idol and if the fan call becomes like this they ask op to change the subject and if she refused they should have the option to hang up. submitted by /u/jx3r55 [link] [comments]

41. Did Blackpink and BTS kill K-pop and make K-pop just two bands?

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I saw a tweet complaining that K-pop is dead and that kpop now is just one band. Do you agree with this tweet? I think this tweet is kind of right because 70% of K-pop news are about BTS and BlackPink and the fake views of BlackPink and BTS is making it harder for K-pop bands to be successful submitted by /u/A_breathtaker [link] [comments]

42. What is your favourite song from a K-drama OST that an Idol has sang?

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

For me I think it would definitely be “with you” which Jimin(BTS)sang alongside Ha Sung Woon (HOTSHOT) and “once again” which both Winter and NingNing(from Aespa) sang. Both are from the K-Drama “our Blues” both are beautiful songs. submitted by /u/Global_Selection8284 [link] [comments]

43. Angel #48 should’ve been the title track for this aespa comeback.

Such an awesome summer-y song. Could’ve been a total hit full of PAKS. Big waste… This is just my honest opinion, but… submitted by /u/Fun_Flower2175 [link] [comments]

44. aespa titles aren’t on the same level as before

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

aespa couldn’t keep up their excellent level of songs in 2025. Personally, I think Rich Man is better than Dirty Work... but it’s still one of their weakest titles. Angel #48 deserved to be the title track. submitted by /u/Fun_Flower2175 [link] [comments]

45. This song is so peak 😭 it had me feeling like this

Red Angel by S.E.S is so fucking peak and such a cunty and sexy sounding song. Truly one of the greatest kpop songs of all time. It had me feeling like this gif. PLEASE give it a listen y'all 😭 submitted by /u/ceoofkpop_ [link] [comments]

46. I thought after the success of 'when the day come' TXT would charted high in Korea

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

That song is their longest charting songs ever so I thought their follow up comeback 'beautiful strangers' would charted high but turn out it's their worst charting since 'chasing that feeling' . But then i remember that song was a soundtrack for a popular drama in Korea I guess that's the only reason why it charted so well. So basically People only care about the song and the drama not the actual group who sang it submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

50. How much do you really care about lyrics?

  • 11 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I have to say I never really cared that much about lyrics and not just in kpop but any genre from any country. I'd look up the lyrics only if there's some controversy about it. What about you? submitted by /u/Still_waiting221 [link] [comments]

53. This is just disgusting and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DON2QiPkn7C/?igsh=aXRxdXpybGdnNzFv For those who don’t know, Cortis is this new bighit bg and people are losing their fucking minds because they have really young members. I know this particular video was by a minor but we have 100s of ADULTS, grown ass women agreeing to the video in the comments not just on this video but every video I see. Looks it’s not wrong to like younger guys. But now when they are minors. The Keonho dude is fucking 16. That is a child. A CHILD. No amount of “I wanna be a noona” is ok. This is giving me enhypen flashbacks and reminds me of how people talk about minor jungkook. Idc but this is disgusting and if this was a female group, everyone would have sent their protest trucks against debuting minors, and about how adult men can’t like minor girls but suddenly it’s ok if it’s a male group? Vile and sickening. submitted by /u/Athena_14_06 [link] [comments]

56. Now that 4th generation is already into their 7th year, what do we think of 4th gen in general?

  • 12 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

4th generation is an interesting generation. Lets recap: People used to debate which year/group started this generation - now it is quite established late 2017 and The Boyz started the generation. We hardly see those posts about ‘Is xxx and yyy 4th gen’ anymore. They experienced the 2 year COVID draught fully - no tours, no normal kpop promotional activities, no interactions. But in turn, we have new way to promote from Youtube shows to fancalls. Some even did online concert. On the boys side, they fully felt the complication of Burning Sun. No 4th generation boy groups, even The Boyz and TXT did as well as 3rd gen and now 5th gen boy groups in Korea. But in turn, a lot of them did well internationally. Sales boom - sure 3rd generation groups remain supreme (BTS/BP/Seventeen) but starting 4th generation we start to see a lot more groups with 1 million sales, both boy and girl groups. Touring boom - lots more groups are able to do world tours after COVID ends. Sure, ‘world tour’ in kpop sense is still limited to Korea, some Asian countries and some US dates and if we are lucky we even get Australasia, Europe and LATAM, but now a lot more groups are doing tours, big or small. More groups are able to do dome in Japan and a few stadiums too. Sadly, with more opportunities for new groups, we also see more 4th generation groups disbanding. More debut, more disbands. More groups extended their contracts beyond 7th year - Idle, TXT, SKZ, Ateez. It can also be contributed to COVID effect - those 2 years feel like a holiday so it feels like 4th generation is still new even though a lot of groups are already reaching 5-7th year. Some dramas in 4th gen - NewJeans, Fifty Fifty. SME brouhaha (LSM leaving, nephew tookover, HYBE purchase etc - SME went through so much). Good or bad - 4th generation has happened. 5th gen already started. Even though no one can dethrone BTS/BP - 4th generation have notables like SKZ, Aespa, IVE, TXT, Enhypen, Ateez and a lot of good mid-sized groups, and these groups are doing so well! What do you guys think? Is there more things I missed? Or something up there you guys disagree on? submitted by /u/Many-Ad-9007 [link] [comments]
