As the title says; what members that were in another group would you see with a different position? For example; Red Velvet's main vocalist is Wendy and Seulgi is main vocalist material too imo and if she was in SNSD or another SM group I could see her being main vocalist submitted by /u/jdpm1991 [link] [comments]

For last 3-4 years, kpop industry sound was as usual inspired by a lot of western artists. Doja, weeknd, tyler- there were many . But one artist who completely changed the trendy music for kpop, specially in Korea is Pinkpantheress. A lot of late 4th gen and 5th gen groups really followed her sound. If there was no Pinkpantheress, who do you think kpop groups would have followed ? submitted by /u/Gisntd [link] [comments]

I just realised that before she was in ADP, I had never heard her speak Korean before. From the little content the group has now, she still mostly uses English with a sentence or two of Korean here and there. And in today's Zip Daesung, she seemed unsure of what she could say and was so quiet 😭 Maybe it was just nerves, idk I knew her from World of Dance, if anyone's wondering :) I KNEW I recognised her from somewhere lol submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]
(obviously not your/the fandom's favourite artist's own music - don't be boring!) submitted by /u/-puca- [link] [comments]
And by adult I mean, why can't we have serious topics or justified scrutiny of the things that happen in this industry. It seems like everytime I want to have a conversation like that, I get met with a lot of harrassment? I know a lot of kpop fans are teena, but many of us are adults too. Why is the kpop community like this these days? In the past we could have serious conversations about what we saw, and we would listen to each other's inputs. Have you guys noticed this too? It's like you can't say ANYTHING negative about something you dislike in kpop without getting attacked, banned, or excluded? It's so unfair to be gaslit and targeted just because you have a different view. If someone is too sensitive to a certain topic, they don't have to participate in that conversation. That's fine. But that doesn't mean everyone feels that way. I feel like the only time we are allowed to call out something in kpop is if there's a major news story or criminal charges. But if you dare say anything negative outside of those situations, you get gaslighted. I really miss the old community, people really were a lot more open minded and you were allowed to have an opinion submitted by /u/Otherwise-Tart9213 [link] [comments]
Hi there! A few friends and I started a kpop podcast (that's not launched yet) and we made an 18+ kpop discord server to chat with other adult kpoppies and create an atmosphere for news, sharing faves, releases, fun activities, discussions, and friendship building, and we have finally decided to open it to the public. I'll drop the link here, and if you wanna join us, as long as you're an ADULT, PLEASE NO CHILDREN/MINORS!!!, then hop on in and introduce yourselves. There's no ANTIfanning, shaming, or putting other groups down allowed (we had one early member removed for putting down Katseye for their 'outfits' and 'lack of class' or whatever, we don't put up with that stuff. There's no warning, so don't even try it.) Just positive vibes, real discussions, and fun friendships to be had. We're also not strictly US/AU/EU/Etc. We have kpoppie members from all over the world, and we welcome anyone who wants to join. Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the regular kpop thread, so I'm sharing it here just in case! submitted by /u/Saliva-Enchantress [link] [comments]

I'm only into the classic ones like BLACKPINK BTS BABYMONSTER ENHYPEN TWICE A LITTLE BIT OF STRAYKIDS KATSEYE (ik that it's a global group) I begin stanning ALL DAY PROJECT LE SSERAFIM SNSD but I would like to try something that's not really popular but deserves to (and this can be old kpop too) Thanksss oh and think I'm gonna look for fromis_9 and Baby don't cry submitted by /u/Fragrant-Loquat1777 [link] [comments]
Okay, I absolutely love their songs. Debut is so good even though I know some people don't like it. But I was talking to my sister who is also a katseye fan. And she said that "without katseye's performance and stage presence. They wouldn't be as big" we were talking and I agree. I think their company relies too much on there absolutely slay facecards and stage presence to care about how good or bad a song is. Cause the performance will change people's mind like: gnarly. Yes I did get it on the first listen but if I'm being honest. If I didn't watch the video and just listened to it... I would hate it. But I love it so much cause they ate. I wanna know. If you heard katseye's songs without seeing the performance would you still like it? Cause I listened to MIA and... I don't like it... But I know the performance will change my mind submitted by /u/_Boreddd_ [link] [comments]
