I just came across this clip while I was scrolling shorts. She's singing Golden from K-Pop Demon Hunters and my goodness, she freaking nailed it. As you can tell, it's obviously 100% raw recorded from a phone without a mic (props to her because all the covers I've seen were very post-processed). What an incredible range this girl has. She's reaching up there with a mix voice with higher chest ratio which makes it all the more impressive. And the way her pronunciation stays crystal clear even at those high notes? Chef’s kiss. Anyone who’s ever sung before knows how hard that is to pull off. I haven't seen much covers of this song from idols, which is totally fair. The Soda Pop dance challenge seems to be the go-to thing for most idols right now instead. Golden is an immensely difficult song and borderline impossible to sing well unless you're gifted with a range to even attempt it in the first place. Which brings me to this. I haven't seen much discussion around Lily here and I feel like she's at the upper echelon of top vocalists in the entirety of Kpop and might be the best one of the recent 4th & 5th gen. There are plenty of belters in Kpop, but not many have Lily’s range while staying as consistent and technically solid as she does. Her technique is rock solid, her pitch accuracy, and vocal agility are no joke. She's the perfect example of what happens when natural talent and hard work come together. An absolute pleasure to listen to and I really hope she keeps delivering these insane covers and original songs for years to come. submitted by /u/Organic-Cranberry955 [link] [comments]
I'm kinda having a hard time in understanding that how a 12 year old group and 9 year old group is suddenly having snark subs? Like shouldn't they have started and ended around 2018-2020? Afaik these year were the times when both groups went through extreme hate trains and also the most prominent years of k-pop so Idk how snark subs are appearing in 2025? Is it because reddit as a platform became mainstream? And also why can't fans just take over these subs? They're really small in numbers compared to the fandom subs , it's not like it's impossible to flip a sub completely cause I have seen it with this sub like last year this sub was really prominent during the Lesserafim's hate train and Yoongi's situation but now it's completely opposite as a lot of people who stan hybe groups joined it so why can't we do it with snark subs too?? submitted by /u/Adventurous-Dog5560 [link] [comments]

I’d like to preface this by saying I’ve been to multiple Kpop and western concerts. Everytime I get seats at a kpop concert these days the people around me are always sitting down. I really want to stand but I feel bad for those around since they’re sitting down. Like yesterday Blackpink D2 at Sofi I stood for a bit at the beginning but was promptly told to sit down. D1 I had floor so everyone was standing obviously. Multiple other concerts I’ve been to everyone was sitting too (IU, BabyMonster, aespa etc). Compared to other western concerts i’ve been to recently like The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Olivia Rodrigo, I’m in the nosebleeds and people around me are standing the entire time. I just want to understand what the difference is. I feel like the kpop concerts I used to go to Pre-2023 everyone was standing always. What has changed since and can we go back to those times? submitted by /u/GlassSeaweed718 [link] [comments]

So I was reading about the ahjumma who wore black lingerie to a P1Harmony fansign. I heard she also made Theo put a leash on her?? Is that true? Does anyone know the details of this frightening event? That is some crazy.... submitted by /u/Liv_Maddox [link] [comments]
Yesterday I asked propaganda you’re not falling for so I figured I’d ask the opposite. For me personally someone brought this up in the last one (no shade towards them) but buying multiple versions of an album lol. I never splurge but I do take the advantage of me being young with no bills and responsibilities yet.😭 (And no I’m not spending my parents money this is money I earn myself) submitted by /u/starzwag_ [link] [comments]
I didn’t really notice until someone on Twitter pointed it out, but it looks like all 4th-gen girl groups hit their peak album sales in 2023–24, even some 3rd-gen groups like TWICE and Red Velvet. Now things are kind of all over the place. One group dropped by a million units compared to their peak, and a few others saw sales drop by 50%. Some, like IVE and NMIXX, had much smaller declines. Overall, 2023 had a huge boom year for album sales across the board, including boy groups. But 2024-25 feels more like a correction. submitted by /u/Striking-Meal-5257 [link] [comments]
I'll go - Jihyo (Twice), Haewon & Sullyoon (NMIXX), Hyolyn (Sistar), JB & Youngjae (Got7), Taeyang (Bigbang), Changmin (TVXQ), Kyuhyun (SuJu) submitted by /u/rainbow_gemini [link] [comments]
I am sorry if this will offend any one but I really just want to point this out. I recently have seen many clips of girl groups in their concert and other live performances and sometimes I feel uneasy seeing idols with super short short or tight fitting shorts. You can really see the outline of their private part ( I think others call them camel toe?) and butt when they walk . I mean yes it's their body they can dress what ever they want but can't their stylist put a little safety on that part. Like I get anxious when they dance and get scare that they might flash us or something. (obviously not a nice thing to happen) submitted by /u/Scary-Dimension8732 [link] [comments]
I wanted to share some exciting news my app, IdolLink, just passed the first round of the Korea Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) this year! 🎉 For those who don’t know, IdolLink is a fan-to-idol platform designed especially for K-pop and Thai GL fans. We focus on real-time live rooms, language learning with idols, exclusive BTS content, and building safe, positive spaces for fandoms to connect. It’s a passion project born from my own experience as a fan, and it means the world that KSGC recognized our potential. While we didn’t make the final round to go to Korea this time, this milestone has fueled me even more to keep building and growing the app for the amazing communities we serve. The journey isn’t over it’s just beginning! If you’re interested in fandom tech, safe fan spaces, or want to follow IdolLink’s progress, I’d love to connect. And of course, any feedback or support means everything. Thanks for reading, and to all the dreamers out there keep pushing! submitted by /u/Unhappy_Winter_8502 [link] [comments]
Golden just hit 6th in the BB100, and might as well hit the top spot soon. I've seen many people love this song, and I've heard it a couple of times, and I thought it was ok, but not as good as everyone claims it is. To me, it just sounds like a less powerful copy of I AM, by IVE, a group I stan. The verse and refrain were fire, but than it just fell from there. I believe the song is so overrated. Takedown, Your Idol, How It's Done, all miles better than Golden, in my opinion. Why do you think this song was the one that hit with the viewers the most? Also, following the success of the song, do you think I AM and Rebel Heart will becomr successful in the US? submitted by /u/KeinkoMusic35 [link] [comments]
i LOVE this cover, i need it injected on my veins. Please, go check it out on Junhee's channel! submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]
