First things first, I like black pink and their new song. I just think that if you look at black pinks choreography with other songs, this one is just a little boring?? Idk the whole song they just do this weird hip wiggle thing and they walk around a bit. And thatâs it. Itâs okey to have some simple choreographyâs donât get me wrong, but itâs just getting simpler and simpler with each new song. (Sorry for the bad English. Also I didnât know which flair to use đ) submitted by /u/Cry_baby10 [link] [comments]

Inspired by this: www.reddit.com/r/kpoprants/comments/1mauf0x/solo_stans_are_ruining_my_experience/ The way army constantly talk about solos but say nothing about shippers says a lot. Most ARMY are SHIPPERS. It's always been that way, unfortunately. And it's normalized in big communities to the point where everyone takes it for granted. Everyone likes and spreads the crap made up by shippers. I'm sick of all the shippers. Because of them, I don't even want to call myself an army (And everyone here has to say, if you don't like it, leave. Which is what I did). I've subscribed to over 100 pages about BTS, and I didn't even suspect that they were hardcore shippers. When I checked and "cleaned up", I only had 12 accounts left that weren't shippers. Because fandom don't fight them, but rather support them, they have united and now you can't tell who is an army and who is a shipper. Because now it's the same thing. To any comment, they respond: "you're just jealousđ". They are the worst part of the fandom and nothing can help them. And before you gaslight me like this: "These are your recommendations, they are not real army, etc". My answer: The fact that YOU personally have not encountered this does not mean that it does NOT exist. It is impossible to stay in an environment where everyone blames you, gaslights and insults you. submitted by /u/No_365 [link] [comments]
This is a genuine question, Iâm seeing people getting excited about the 4 girls left possibly having a rebrand with jyp but didnât one of the members try to end themselves? Iâm just confused about the situation, did it come out that all of it wasnât true or are people just not pretending to care anymore? (Can someone give me an update because Iâm seeing conflicting stuff everywhere) submitted by /u/No_Relation_9921 [link] [comments]
It's so bizarre to see so many Kpop stans only go for the most popular groups and then build their whole identity around flexing that popularity. They'll boast nonstop about chart positions, sales, and brand deals, talking like their faves are objectively "above " everyone else in every category. And I get it. Following a successful group isn't a crime. I suppose itâs like bandwagoning the top franchises in a sports league. But the real issue is when fans treat popularity as proof that their taste is superior is so cringe. They'll make condescending comments like, "Yeah they'll never be on this level," or "There's a reason nobody likes them," or "If they were actually talented, they'd have way more fans." Like⊠are you a fan of the music and the artistry? Or are you just here for the numbers and the clout? Obviously, this type of behavior isnât super common here specifically, but everywhere else including other Kpop-related subreddits, I often see people weaponizing success metrics to invalidate other groups or dismiss anyone who doesnât stan the "top tier." I just donât get it. At least in sports, there are clear winners and losers where winning literally trumps everything. But this type of behavior in Kpop? Really? Ever since all these stats and metrics became more accessible, people have been using them to pit groups against each other and make meaningless hierarchies. It definitely didnât feel this intense back then. The obsession with numbers has only been getting worse over time. Iâve honestly never seen this kind of mindset so normalized in any other music genre. submitted by /u/Acrobatic_Prize_7749 [link] [comments]
They were released recently and I keep repeating them on my playlist. They are very great songs and the choreography for 'Dancing Alone' is really energetic and fun. The concept teasers were so aesthetic and cool. The MV for 'Dancing Alone' is also nice. I love the concept that revolves around nature and peaceful vibes. It gives me a reminiscent of the 2000s. 'Dancing Alone' feels very Wonder Girls in my opinion but itâs 5th gen and Gen Z. The vocals are soft with a bouncy beat that feels nostalgic and fun. 'Strawberry Cheesegame' has a timeless feel to it, it has a dreamy, sparkly, and slightly quirky vibe. The chorus is the best part of the song. It's the perfect song for a bike ride to a picnic. The instrumental is tickling my brain in the best way. Both songs are nostalgic fun summer songs. KiiiKiii reminds me of 2nd and 3rd gen girl groups. I love how their songs are both gp friendly and experimental. Their music feels dreamy, sometimes a little strange in a good way, and really bubbly. Their artistic vision is so well executed. submitted by /u/CrimsonThicket [link] [comments]
At first I obviously thought it was insane because Lara had openly came out as queer. But the more I think about it, it really annoys me that Lara (who is an openly queer woman) is getting these accusations, since no one ever says this when two female idols act the same. Im not going to name anyone but sometimes it is glaringly obvious when idols think itâs funny and cute to act âfruityâ or when they are doing it for fan service, because they know fans go crazy over it. So why is it now a problem when an openly queer woman embraces her sexuality and owns who she isđ€š Honestly, I already know why but the way queer women are treated is disgusting. Especially a queer woman of colour. submitted by /u/M0us3Cheezz [link] [comments]
The mtv nominations came out yesterday and multiple KPOP fandoms where up in arms over their faves being considered....kpop. And I have a question. These artists may not have korean lyrics in most of their songs but they built their careers and fanbases in kpop,,still put out physical albums with photocards and photobooks and generally speaking still operate in the kpop sphere. But the fandoms, and I'm referring to multiple ones, not one specific act like being considered kpop is an insult and this is what iks me the most. They act like kpop is inferior, less quality,a sub culture compared to western music and this is why they're up in arms their faves are nominated under the kpop category. And this attitude comes from kpop stans mind you. Kpop stans themselves. YOU are kpop stans too. Why do you even stan kpop if you think it's that inferior. A lot of the times the kpop community in general compliments artists by saying they're bigger than kpop/their songs don't sound like kpop. It reeks of xenophobia and racism. No music genre is inferior to another So yeah, this is basically a post on the weird attitude towards kpop by kpop stans themselves. It is not a drag towards any nominated artist but a criticism towards the way the fandoms treats kpop itself submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]
Now that weâve seen some missions and the trainees are starting to show what theyâre made of, Iâm super curious to know everyoneâs Top 8 picks for Boys II Planet! đđ„ Hereâs mine so far: Yumeki â Legendary choreographer stepping into idol life like a pro. His vocal improvement is REAL. Yoo Kangmin â VERIVERYâs maknae. So polished, charming, and versatile. Heechan (DKB) â His dance skills hit like a truck every stage. Stage presence = chefâs kiss. HarryâJune (DKB) â Energetic, confident, and already feels debut-ready. Chung Sanghyeon â His intensity on stage is addicting. A dark horse for sure. Kim Geonwoo â Steady, solid, and seriously talented. Lee Leo â Visuals, charisma, and stage performance are all on point. Yusen â P NATION trainee thatâs been catching my eye lately. Super promising. P.S I didnât choose sangwon because he is debuting 100% and it really doesnât matter if I put him in my top 8 or not. Everyoneâs preferences are so different, and I love seeing how fan picks evolve as the show progresses. đ Soâwhoâs in your Top 8 right now? Any trainees you think are being slept on? Letâs talk đ Boys2Planet #BoysIIPlanet #Yumeki #Kangmin #DKB #Heechan #HarryJune #KpopSurvival #Top8 #KpopDiscussion submitted by /u/Renebae1991 [link] [comments]

I think Wooseo ( Woochan and Youngseo ) give golden retriever and black cat energy both in terms of their appearance and how they interact with each other. What are some other examples? submitted by /u/DiMpLe_dolL003 [link] [comments]

It's funny that kpop stans used that particular article that has like 6 likes to drag Nmixx debut as the worst kpop debut in 2025 Is funny but also annoying. For some weird reason I can't attach the media here submitted by /u/whatdoesthecocksay69 [link] [comments]

Which is why I don't. But I still come across them sometimes. I like it when Idols do TikTok Videos where they get the joke. When they get the trend. When they wanted to record it themselves. Every Idol Group posts so many TikToks, sometimes once a day. These TikToks are on the schedule of these Idols, they are part of work. A staff picked which trend they do and records it, in hopes of staying hip with the young kids. It just comes off as so inauthentic. And ends up being so meaningless to me. I prefer Idols do trends that they want to do. That they get. That they like and think are funny or cute. I don't want to see someone being forced to act cringe or do something they don't want to do, or wouldn't have done themselves. It is a meaningless corporate move that only has little to do with the Celebrity I like. By the way: I am not talking about dance challenges with other artists here, with which I am also not a big fan of (so repetitive) but at least they get to interact with other groups naturally, and they promote their songs in a logical way. So it's okay. What I like to see are Idols doing a trend they like. A Dance Cover of one of their favourite songs. Or a Song Cover. Or a Song recommendation. Something they wanted to show the fans that they like. Or just don't post on TikTok if it is not your thing. Not to say that these Contents don't exist, just that they are kinda rare, and I prefer them. submitted by /u/cat_girl10 [link] [comments]
