I'm still kinda new to kpop (little over a year) and still obsessed with SuJu's Mr. Simple and Sorry Sorry. Just wondering what else I might like that's dancy, electronic-sounding and super catchy. I love it and it's great to run on the treadmill to! submitted by /u/Away_Housing4314 [link] [comments]

1.466. New 5th Gen Boy Group Achieving Great Milestones for a Debut group

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I just wanna share this newly debuted group: AHOF (All-time Hall Of Famer) from F&F Entertainment They have just debuted this July 1, 2025 and are gaining massive achievements. Here's a list of some of their achievements: Their debut album: Who We Are has charted in 22 countries on iTunes, reaching #1 in six – Bahrain, Ireland, the Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, and the UAE Their title track: Rendezvous accumulated over 3,684,000 views and 86,000 likes on YouTube within 24 hours of its release. Total sales in just 2 days: 259,305 (Day 1 = 71,276) and more to list... And to think that they are a nugu\* group in a nugu\* company (F&F Ent.) and was formed from a nugu\* survival show (SBS Universe League); and also prepared almost 6 months to debut, wherein many fans could've left for little to no content at all. If you want to know more why they received such an achievement, you might wanna check out their MV, which is a chef's kiss of a song = feels like a 2nd-3rd gen song, also great thanks to its producer El Capitxn. And check out their fan's community in X to find out how insanely dedicated they are. submitted by /u/taeyanggg [link] [comments]

1.468. Does anyone else feel uncomfortable when idol deaths are used for rage bait or comparisons?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been seeing comments online saying things like “____ is the next Sulli” or “____ will end up like Moonbin,” and honestly, it makes me feel really uneasy. It’s so disrespectful to use someone’s death like that, especially just to push hate or stir drama. You can dislike an idol without making those kinds of comments. These are real people, not just names on a screen. Using tragic deaths as a way to insult others or get attention online is such a low move. I really wish people would just leave their names alone and let them rest in peace. submitted by /u/Legal_Potential4720 [link] [comments]

1.473. Can someone explain how Thailand Spotify works? Across multiple acts, it's very erratic, numbers shoot up and down on random days.

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is just the most recent example, but they're not the only act to have erratic streaming patterns in Thailand. Zero other countries have this number of massive discrepancies in day-to-day numbers. People say some acts just have big Thai fanbases, but did 85% of their fanbase just spontaneously choose not to stream on a random day? If anyone has more insight into this, it would be welcome. submitted by /u/Recent-Pension1179 [link] [comments]

1.477. SKZ Hyunjin, this is my heartfelt goodbye

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Ah. I just decided to stan Hyunjin again but a few days in and I am painfully reminded why I had to stop several times. It’s painfully obvious that something ⚡️✨ is going on between Hyunlix and it annoys me to no end that IG/TikTok/YT algorithms would forever suggest Hyunlix reels to me. Felix won in this life being in such close proximity of a piece of heavenly creation in Hyunjin. Over the years, Felix had shown TLC to Hyunjin and it has paid off. The tenderness in their eyes for each other cannot be mistaken (Ive been exposed to so many BLs in different formats so IYKYK) no matter how much Changbin overly tries to compensate in his “wifey” role. Thank you Changbin for trying to cover up Hyunlix….. you are a true friend. Honestly, idk how deep Hyunlix relationship goes but it is… deep (for a lack of better word) I really dont know how to cope as a Hyunjin fan to see Hyunlix flirting on screen..except to stop stanning him again—which is equally distressing—after so many restarts over the years. I have liked seeing him grow up into a man. Now that he has fully developed (25 is the age wherein your brain fully develops).. he has gotten so much more confident. Ofc there is no way in seven hells or heaven and multiple universes wherein Hyunjin will ever be mine but I would so wish for him to get married, have a family, and be happy. sigh Hyunjin, must I always step back and love you from afar? You dont know about my existence but this feels like a really bad heartbreak. Nevertheless, i will always pray for your health, safety, and happiness. Fly high Hyunjin. submitted by /u/Scared-Advantage-800 [link] [comments]

1.478. No BTS and BLACKPINK member is bigger than their group. In fact their solo success in big part is thanks to the group brand.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know I will get tons of downvotes from solo stans and even group stans but I have to comment about this because the level of delusion is insane. Solo promotions and music is equal a rise of solo stans as we all know. I have nothing against solo stans, there is no way a person go and listen to a soloist and then the group as a mandatory requirement. My only problem with solo stans is the entitlement. You knew your fave is from a group like what did you expect? Speaking about BTS and BLACKPINK the two biggest kpop groups, in what delusional world those Stans live that they think their fave is bigger than those groups? “LISA better leave that group she is way bigger” “BTS should disband, Jungkook go solo” Admitting the group brand name plays a major part in the members solo success is not undermining or disrespecting their hard work. Specially when that also goes to the group success as well. But credit when credit is due. Plus this goes for others groups not only in the Kpop scene. Are BTS and BLACKPINK members successful? Absolutely. This is not about denying their success but more about a reality check. You can argue all day that some members would have been successful as soloists even if they hadn’t debuted in those groups but since they did debut, hypothetical scenarios are ultimately pointless. I know some will comment “No one actually believes that” oh dear it can surprise how stans due to a successful song or album believe their fave ended their group. submitted by /u/NAJARI29 [link] [comments]

1.482. Anyone else wonder how much idols actually choose their off-stage outfits?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Lately I’ve been wondering how much of what idols wear off stage is really their own choice, like in casual vlog outfits, behind-the-scenes clips or during sound checks. Obviously, for official stages, red carpets (and airport fashion at times) it’s the stylists, but when it comes to their “personal” clothes… is it truly 100% their own style? Take Stray Kids for example, especially Hyunjin and I.N. They often wear super super niche vintage t-shirts, rare streetwear brands, or even old band tees that are really specific and very hard to find. It made me wonder: are they actually going out and sourcing those themselves? Or is it more likely that they’re picking from a shared stylist closet or curated rack they can pick from? and maybe keeping the pieces they really like? I noticed at one point I.N wore a shirt that Hyunjin had already worn weeks before in a different setting, so that made me think there could be a pool of clothes that members rotate through, especially those rare vintage finds. And maybe if a member really likes something, they can buy it or get assigned to it… I don’t mean to say idols don’t have any say, I think they absolutely do buy whatever they want. But maybe they choose to let stylists guide them, because it fits with the image they want to maintain or the group’s overall branding What do you guys think? Do you believe idols are fully choosing their off-stage fits? Or do you also think there’s a shared stylist inventory + curated image even when it looks casual? Would love to hear your thoughts or any examples you’ve noticed! submitted by /u/Asleephgtd [link] [comments]

G-Dragon ubermensch tonight!!! this might be a really silly question, but honestly i've never been to a kpop concert before so i was wondering, would bringing my penlights make me stick out like a sore thumb? buying his official lightstick is out of the budget and i don't have any other kpop/related lightsticks to bring. i have 2 kingblade penlights that i bring to jp concerts, but is that weird or worse disrespectful at all for this event? 😭 this probably sounds dumb asf but im stressing lol. any concert etiquette advice appreciated 🙏 submitted by /u/justiceformafuyusato [link] [comments]

1.484. At what point is a group considered to have become mainstream?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Many believe that when groups begin to gain fame in the West, they lose their musical style in order to maintain that fame, but how true is that? Do you think groups that gained fame in the West continue to grow while maintaining their musical identity, regardless of criticism? Or do you think they've lost it but have become more popular with audiences? submitted by /u/Someonehihi [link] [comments]
