Emphasis on seem btw. The most popular groups like BTS, BLACKPINK and TWICE would reach 50+ million views in a day say in 2018-2021. I don't see that happening anymore. Even the most popular members of the biggest groups have like 20+ million views in their solo songs released months or even years ago. Why did this drop happen? I'm not very knowledgeable about stuff like streaming, album sales and so on. So, is it just that these stars have less YouTube views but are making more bank through other avenues? It's different compared to third generation because of the democratization of being a celebrity. There's an influx of streamers or influencers or independant artists so this could divide potential fans. submitted by /u/Wooyoungsmole [link] [comments]

Feels insensitive to the kg situation. And why even try to glorify a bruise, no? https://x.com/kchartsmaster/status/1953263608697073772 submitted by /u/Crystalitefire [link] [comments]
Not sure if y’all have seen this, but apparently ZB1 just dropped a new trailer for their upcoming comeback. There’s a part where Ricky is shown writing and decorating things in his diary — and some of those exact snippets are shown in the trailer. And later ricky came to plus chat to tell people how the staffs "mimic" his handwriting. And looking at how neat and similar those words are they probably even paid for it . Which is insane if u ask me. It got me thinking again about how overly affectionate or romantic interactions between members might actually be scripted — and not just in ZB1, but across many groups. And how far this company would take just to sell a fake narrative to the fans . (This literally could risks them getting sued ? ) Also… remember that HYBE internal report where they admitted to monitoring fanfiction tags and using them for market research? Yeah. So with that in mind, I’m starting to believe more in the "gay-for-pay" theory when it comes to certain idol dynamics. Not saying every interaction is fake, but some things definitely feel too conveniently fanservice-y to be organic 🤷♀️🤷♀️ submitted by /u/zozoshtz [link] [comments]

Which male and female idols do you think look very identical (personality wise optional), like they're versions of each other with maximum accuracy... submitted by /u/GuideOk7067 [link] [comments]

Okay someone needs to fes up, who asked for another Naevis comeback? But in my honest opinion it isn’t as bad as her debut song. The bridge that’s near the end is actually kinda good but the song overall is just….meh. Majority of the budget looks like it was spent on the video, which is very good looking but that’s it. I hate to say it but SM needs to just keep her within the Kwangya universe, shes good within Aespa but not on her own. I don’t hate Naevis or anything, it’s just like..can’t they put that money towards some of their other groups jeez. But then again this song might do a bit better than her last, hell if I know cause her debut came and went, no buzz, no traction. Straight silence. But anyways, did any of you actually enjoy the song??? submitted by /u/Ok_Mango_7 [link] [comments]

Hello! I’m going to twice at qudos bank arena (Sydney) on the first, I’m so excited! I just have a question, I’m going with my younger sister (who is 15) will she be allowed in with me? I’m 16. Will they ID check everyone? If it helps, I have floor tickets. So if you’ve gone to a kpop concert or twice concert here before, what was your experience? submitted by /u/Xqmyoon [link] [comments]
Not going to bring up specific situations, but you know what I mean, right? It hurts me even more when people kick you when you're already hurt and disappointed by the idol's wrongdoing. You truly, genuinely loved the members and their music. You were proud to call yourself their fan. And then one day, you become ashamed to be their fan. Look, I know "being a fan" is subjective, but me choosing to distance myself from a group after a scandal doesn't mean I was never a fan in the first place. Are we not allowed to call out idols, even ones whose music we love, when they do something morally wrong? Does being a fan involve blindly worshipping the ground these human beings walk on? Does being a fan involve defending your favourite idols no matter what they do? And I swear, I'm not being a hater. I'm just calling out wrongdoing and standing by my morals. submitted by /u/Ruler_J [link] [comments]
