I consider myself a Kpop-fan since 2020. I'm listening to multiple groups but my ultimate bias is V. I'm upto date about his schedule an so on and actively following him on sns. BUT lately I'm called an anti bc I'm not listening to his songs like winter ahead 20+ times a day Like dude I like him no doubt but I do like other artists and especially OTHER GENRES (like Hardcore and Uptempo) too or even more at the moment but Kpopfans won't accept the fact my most listened artist is N-Vitral rather than V So what are your thoughts about this and what other situation are coming to your mind that are making you think: "WTF dude, let me breathe" submitted by /u/blood_crystal_tiger [link] [comments]

personally very disappointed with the direction that the group i stan is heading towards… despite these english tracks being somewhat successful, i see disappointed fans—the same fans who carry these comebacks to success. i think it’s more of the fans’ loyalty that gets them by rather than the fans truly enjoying the music. i’ve been seeing so many english-speaking stans comment that they’re disappointed with their almost full english tracks. honestly, their being korean is part of their charm. they’re themselves (not to mention cute) when they express themselves confidently. they look pitiful and frustrated when they are unable to communicate with their fans. going back to their songs, their english sounds so unnatural and incomprehensible—no matter the effort they put. so why force it? not to mention the lyrics being cringe and ends up ruining the flow. i understand that their company wants to cater to the west, but in reality it’s their korean songs that brought them their popularity there. full english tracks from kpop groups barely make noise in the west, not unless you are BTS or BP so i think these other groups should just stick to their initial formula. might help with their idols’ confidence too and cause less anxiety when performing. let’s face it, kpop groups with english-speaking members are the key to the west NOT english tracks. submitted by /u/Zealousideal_Net2830 [link] [comments]

I was relistening to the RPWP album and out of love came on. From 0:50 to about 1:11 there is an adlib behind the beat panned more to the left that sounds familiar to me, but I can't place where I might have heard it before. I think it's from a older hip hop song, maybe 2000s(?), it's definitely not kpop. idk. Since music is such a central part of the hobby, especially in kpop, how much do fans actually think about the gear they use to listen? What’s your usual setup for listening to music headphones, IEMs, speakers, etc.? Do you what service do you stream from, do you self host, do you buy digital, or still rip your CDs? Do you use a digital audio player (DAP), or just stick with your phone? One of the main reasons I'm asking is because it’s surprising how often fan archives and boycott drives only have MP3s despite the amount of fans who own the cds. Do current gen fans rip cds? I've been able to find flac and wav rips from internet archives but it's never from big accounts that make fansites and databases strangely. I’m not saying everyone needs to go full audiophile with multi-thousand dollar setups but even proper digitization of music you own with some decent headphones, IEMs, or a basic DAC can make a huge difference. Personally, I’ve been using my CCA CRA and Moondrop Aria IEMs for most of my on the go listening and Sennheiser HD599SE open-backs at home. I’m still on the lookout for a solid planar headphones tho For portability, I use a modded iPod Classic (new battery, 1tb flash storage, and Rockbox), and I’ve been thinking about getting a Snowsky DAP to supplement it. What's a song that feels the most iconic in their discography, the first one that comes to mind when talking about this group, the one you think they will be known for in 10 years ? I just commented on a random post in this sub about someone saying a certain group is getting too much hate from people. I agreed and shared my two cents, and got downvoted for saying that people who hate on groups just because they personally don’t like them are embarrassing. I genuinely don’t understand the concept of openly telling the world you hate a group so much to the point where you end up on the fans sub and then start posting hate comments there too. I’ve noticed this as someone who almost primarily Stan’s girl groups. Like unless we’re talking big boy groups (BTS, enha, SKZ, TXT) this behavior is almost never the same for them, and sometimes it seems like a couple of the k-subs (I won’t say it’s all of them) are so biased towards the bgs that they ignore this and ggs are allowed to receive hate for stupid things. For example the NJZS situation. There was a post about Hybe winning the trial, and while most people were saying they got what they deserved and served them right (ignoring the fact that this whole situation started before any of the girls had even hit their 20’s) some person randomly said “I miss NJZS I wish this never had happened” and was downvoted 10 times to where they eventually deleted the comment. Like to me this was absolutely absurd like why not just ignore the comment instead of mass downvoting to show how much you as a grown adult hate a group of once teenage girls. This happened with Giselle of Aespa with some people still bringing up her N-word scandal (even though that is now a scandal from 4 years ago) while Tarzzan a member of all day project just recently got caught saying the N-word and of course no one was surprised and he did receive backlash but keep in mind if Tarzzan was a female idol I’m strongly convinced he would’ve been kicked out now in order to save the groups rep. Plus he had allegations of appropriating black culture PREDEBUT, and is still in the group promoting not even a hiatus. And of course that two-color girl group which on the daily gets hate for things that don’t even make sense such as wearing revealing clothing despite the fact they are pushing 30. I even noticed people who don’t Stan said two-color group have been saying the hate is out of hand, but yet if someone says they agree and they stan the group getting hate on it’s downvoted galore. Long rant but like it’s actually so exhausting watching this all happen and it being accepted because it’s an unspoken norm across a couple of fandoms. Btw this is not me saying ALL groups as a whole In k-pop deserve hate, but just that certain people who don’t like specific groups need to learn to keep it to themselves instead of spreading it around to make themselves feel better.
