Why do fans always feel the need to always defend an idol? Idols are human, humans make mistakes and have faults like everyone else. You are not helping them by making excuses and brushing off something they did wrong as not a big deal. It's okay to admit what they did was problematic and should apologize. You can like someone but still call them out and no that doesn't mean you're a "hater" or whatever. This mentality that someone can do no wrong and is always perfect is silly. There is nothing wrong with stanning someone but also recognizing if they have something wrong. You don't have to defend someone you don't know all the time, you don't have to keep making excuses for them and you can still like them but recognize what they did was wrong. submitted by /u/BBAomega [link] [comments]
As someone who has been in this kpop hyperfocus for 3 years, is it really? Because I don’t wanna leave this “world” lets say it like this, and that is something that people have been talking for a while I see some people say they left in 4 years or 1 year, and then people saying they’ve been like that for 11 years submitted by /u/Mysterious-Usual-397 [link] [comments]
We all know the legendary ones who steal the spotlight and rightfully get brought up in discussions constantly. The ones like Taemin, Kai, etc. But who are the idols who shine on their own but get talked about less, maybe cuz they’re in a group with one of those legendary members? Here are some of my picks: SVT Woozi. Doesn’t get talked about as much cuz Hoshi is the star, but Woozi absolutely kills it on stage. His expressions are on point. He was the first to catch my eye. P1H Intak. His confidence is so visible on stage but i rarely hear his name brought up in conversation. Also his rapping comes thru SO strong and crisp every time!! Winner Yoon. It’s hard to outswag Mino. But Yoon is so entertaining to watch in his own right. He always looks like he’s having fun while effortlessly belting crazy high notes. submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

Hi! I have been an ARMY since 2022 and had no exposure to the Korean industry prior to that. Since joining the fandom, I have seen the bunch being DRAGGED for everything. Whether it is the BTS doing something, BigHit, related people, ARMYs are dragged by EVERYONE including the company a lot of times. Can someone explain to me why? It seems as though the bunch has told them off as they have been appreciated as and when needed which is quite rare to see in fandoms generally even outside of K-pop.They are witty and often discuss issues that affect the world in general. Even so, somehow THEY are blamed for things they have no control over or have ever asked to do. It is a fandom that has more fans from abroad than SK and are opinionated yes, in all the right ways but pretty chill and straightforward. They clearly outline in pointers how they feel about certain things BTS or otherwise and are clearly intelligent and intellectual, yet a narrative plays. Why? submitted by /u/Healthy-Prize-8679 [link] [comments]
Many people still respond to ragebaiters, it only encourages their behavior. Please stop replying to them, as they thrive on the attention. It's abominable to see people comment "Next X" in response to these ragebaiters, especially considering the impact it has on idols/actors/actresses who have passed away. submitted by /u/freezerkeeper [link] [comments]
When a dating rumor comes out and the idol denies it, do they actually tell the truth? Or is it just a lie to protect the image? I’m new to kpop and I Stan aespa, so recently I watched the jungwon and winter rumor. I saw that jungwon denied it. I’m not talking specifically about them, but in general. Wouldn’t an idol lie just to protect his image? Is just pr? Or they actually don’t date and they tell the truth??? We could never know how they actually are, we just see what they show to us. I also learned about the seungri scandal. submitted by /u/Alternative_Mud_1145 [link] [comments]
As a stay and Midzy, who also does love Twice and nmixx, I really enjoyed watching Kickflip's series of interacting with their seniors. Their personalities were so funny and they looked so good. Plus, I really did like Umm Great. Mama Said, not too much, but I told myself I'd Stan them anyways because I liked them. Freeze came and I found myself reluctant to listen, and also to listen to the rest of the album. I think I realised I just did not like their music, even their B-sides didn't stand out to me. So I slowly lost interest in them musically, and haven't watched any variety shows on them, but I saw the Bandaid teaser and then the MV this morning. Man, is this a great song. My soty?? Probably not. BUT I love it a lot, and I'm excited for this comeback. It's got deep, emotional lyrics, while the melody is still relatively light-hearted. It reminds me a lot of Skz B-sides. And the high notes???? I can't wait to see the direction they're going in because I'm hopeful I'll like it. Side note, they're so fricking talented. They post a LOT of dance covers and song covers on their socials and they're insanely good, idk why nobody ever talks about it. submitted by /u/Far-Squirrel5021 [link] [comments]

i want to preface this by saying i am 100% biased. but also reasonable. haechan of nct is going solo next week and everyone needs to tune in. he has vocal chops for days, a gorgeous vocal colour, and most importantly - a deep and beautiful passion for music. some of his biggest idols - michael jackson, bruno mars, taemin. and you can tell he has ambitions like them. i have never seen an idol so dedicated to their craft or who loves music as much. watch ANY video of him performing with either of his units and he Will be dancing his ass off bc on top of his vocal ability, he's also trained in multiple forms of dance (including ballet). on TOP of that, he's just really fucking funny. like i'm talking wit and charm oozing out of every pore. in almost any group content he'll take over the role of mc bc it's that natural for him. some of the frankly incredible stuff he's already accomplishmed by 25: walking into sm's notoriously tough saturday open auditions at 12 (inspired by a love of shinee and taemin) bc he had 'nothing to lose' and passing instantly ofc, impressing lee sooman himself (who gave him the stage name haechan aka fullsun) + has working in 2 active groups since the age of 16 ! if you've never heard of him i wouldn't even be surprised bc although he's in a group under a big3 company, sm have never bothered to give this powerhouse idol any kind of exposure. so if any of this sounds interesting to you or you just want some good quality r&b (the likes of exo/rv) - pls check out taste out 09/08 <3 tldr; this is me telling you guys that haechan is an artist to look out for. he's exactly what the industry has been been missing submitted by /u/Tiny_Stock8220 [link] [comments]
Idk about you but I plan on listening to kpop until I die or become deaf. I am curious if fans actually think this is just a phase in their life that they will eventually move on from. I think looking at listening to kpop as a phase is kind of weird and also just wrong. Kpop is music. How is enjoying a type of music guarenteed to be a phase? I understand thinking you will eventually outgrow the age where you stan groups and fangirl over idols but outgrowing just listening to the music? Idk, seems weird to me but I am open to being taught and hearing other perspectives. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
What might a GG enjoyer like? Should I start with playlists? Music shows? Music videos? Albums? I like cute/colourful concepts rather than gritty/dark vibes. The only groups I have properly checked out and like are: NCT Wish, ZEROBASEONE, BoyNextDoor and TXT. submitted by /u/NewJeansBunnie [link] [comments]
Stray Kids made their comeback a week ago and i've had some few thoughts on it. First and foremost, their INTRO video really explains alot of details that went into the making of this record and that's the main point of this post — they made this record in the midst of the world tour. They mentioned how they had songs recorded and produced in their hotel rooms and mastered in the studios. Both BLEEP and the soon to be released Creed MVs were filmed in countries that they had a tour stop at. All these preparations while also ensuring they prepare for every tour stop performance. It made me respect Stray Kids even more. Clearly they are passionate with what they do. The schedules must've been so tight but they pulled it through bec they wanted to release this record. Ceremony truly felt even more like a celebration of the progress they have made in their career. While a part of me also wishes they go on a break soon because it's much deserved, a part of me also can't help but respect the level of dedication and grind they have for what they do. This fact alone made me love KARMA album as a whole even more. submitted by /u/Lofijunkieee [link] [comments]
I'm already fan! I think Haechan was really inspired by Baekhyun's music. I love it! I think "Haechan's Taste" is going to try to take over from my favorite, J The 1st Album (Jaehyun). submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]
