i've seen so many people talk about contracts, abusive companies and them fighting for idol rights... i don't think that was their intention lol. they were cool to stay in ADOR.... as long as min heejin stayed. they went against hybe or bang pd or whoever because there was a possibility of mhj being let go. like yall remember that whole video of them saying oh if you don't reinstate our ceo we're gonna do this that and the third blah blah something something yall have like 6 days or something. everything goes back to mhj and how she made them feel like it was the 6 of them against the world. but like all child groomers, she was only looking out for herself. she threw them under the bus and now they have to deal with the fall out, without her. i saw that they're going to appeal and all i can say... lawyers are not good peoplesbhjfnfn 😭 submitted by /u/cocochanelism [link] [comments]

191. NewJeans' law firm releases a statement that they will appeal the October 30th ruling

“While we respect the court’s judgment, it is impossible to return to ADOR and continue normal entertainment activities given that the relationship of trust with ADOR has already completely collapsed.” Full official statement from NewJeans’ five members Hello, this is Sejong LLC, legal counsel for Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. Today, the Seoul Central District Court delivered a first-instance ruling in the case filed by ADOR Co., Ltd. (“ADOR”) against the members seeking confirmation that the exclusive contracts are valid, holding that the exclusive contracts are valid. The members respect the court’s decision; however, given that the relationship of trust with ADOR has already completely broken down, it is our position that returning to ADOR and continuing normal entertainment activities is impossible. Accordingly, the members will immediately appeal the first-instance ruling. We ask the appellate court to once again comprehensively review the facts to date and the legal principles regarding termination of the exclusive contracts, and to render a wise judgment. Lastly, we express our sincere gratitude to the fans who have waited a long time and continued to support us. Thank you. Sejong LLC submitted by /u/Yujin-Ha [link] [comments]

This the designated thread to discuss ALL aspects of the New Jeans/ADOR/MHJ case. All other posts will be locked (if they predate this post) or deleted (if they are made after this post). The decision has been handed down, in favour of Ador. See these news articles: Korea Herald, Yonhap, Yonhap Part 2 and Star News. This post will be updated when more articles become available. When discussing this, please remember: gloating is both dumb and annoying. Insulting other users, fandoms and idols are all against the sub rules. Links to Twitter are not permitted. Please provide a reputable source for any claims. submitted by /u/KpopThoughtsmodteam [link] [comments]

193. Court rules in favor of ADOR in final verdict of contract dispute

  • 2 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

So the court has ruled in favor of ADOR in the lawsuit and confirmed that the contract remains in effect. Basically, the court rejected all the claims made from NJ's side, including the argument that the dismissal of formal ADOR CEO Min initiated a breach of contract and that the breakdown of trust between the two parties justified termination. The court said "Min's dismissal alone doesn't suggest a disruption in management or prove that ADOR is incapable of carrying out its duties. Also, there's no clause in the contract that mandates Min must remain in charge of ADOR." They added, "Even if she was removed from the CEO position, she could've continued her producer duties and a CEO position was not necessary to fulfill those responsibilities." Well, it’s been nearly a year since this all began. So… what’s next for the girls? They seemed pretty adamant about not wanting to continue working with ADOR. I imagine they’ll appeal the ruling immediately, but there’s no doubt it’s going to be an uphill battle from here on out. Here's the link to the full article. Did you guys expect this outcome? And what do you think is going to happen next? Let's try to be civil and not bash either side out of spite. submitted by /u/GainImpressive8183 [link] [comments]
