First, fuck mandatory conscription, it sucks...I saw how it hurt my bias when he was doing very well and had to leave for 2 years. I know this is unfair for me to ask, but I watch a lot of Seventeen performances and I see S.Coups dancing super hard, jumping, running. There's one video where he jumps up onto a platform on stage like he's spider man. Tons of choreo etc. I'm not seeing how army training would be different from the constant choreo and practice they gotta do submitted by /u/Dismal_Living6298 [link] [comments]
They can just debuted them quietly behind the scenes without any involments from the fans and it would still be successful as long as the songs hit rather than wasting money for survival shows. The main reason for their groups that debuted from survival shows is so successful right now is the song not because they formed via survival shows. Katseye and illit didn't blew up until touch and magnetic went viral and became a hits. The shows that formed them dream academy and runext flopped when it came out, Majority of their fans right now never watched it and probably didn't even know that they're from survival shows. Same with Enhypen like majority of engenes right now probably never watched i-land. submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]
The song would've sounded so good with a talented female vocalist or the least with her own team member rosé but jisoo sounds underskilled in front of Zayn😵💫 (this is totally positive criticism, writing it because I expected something really better considering Zayn being on it. no offence to jisoo but kpop suits her, not this). submitted by /u/ButterflyUnfair7782 [link] [comments]

I’m writing this because I’ve noticed a clear difference in how international and Korean K-pop communities define the 4th and 5th generations. Interestingly, the consensus (based on all the top comments and polls I've seen across various platforms) among Korean fans seems to be that we’re still in the 4th gen era. Their reasoning is that 4th gen groups still feel fresh, remain highly relevant, and continue to dominate the current K-pop scene. From their perspective, it doesn’t make much sense to start calling it a new generation when there hasn’t been a real “passing of the torch” yet. What do you think? Do you think it's a fair argument? submitted by /u/Acrobatic_Prize_7749 [link] [comments]
I just became aware of the HyunA case and how she went from a super beloved idol to becoming kind of universally hated because she married Junhyung. I have seen many people hating on her for marrying him instead of Dawn, her previous partner, because everyone thought they were perfect for each other. That I disagree with. Nobody should get hate for not wanting to marry someone and I don't like people comparing someone's partners like that. This type of hate was so common, I was wondering if potentially more of it was undeserved. I know Junhyung was involved with the burning sun scandal which is horrible, but I then saw more info came out and it may not be what it seemed. Apparently, the only thing he did was get sent a video of someone or him... tapping someone's behind. Now I am sure this may imply more stuff was done, some horrid stuff, but I am not even sure if he was the one in the video or not or if there is any evidence of anything further. (I literally saw two comments, one saying it was him in the video and one saying it was someone else and he was just sent the video so I am super confused.) Obviously if he was really a part of the burning sun scandal, screw him and HyunA. They are both horrible people. I just want to make sure I know all the facts. Am I missing anything? What did I get wrong? What are your thoughts? submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
On stats.fm I found there was a picture icon mode which made for a fun way to visualise the albums yours listening to. You can find it by clicking share whilst on last 4 weeks on tracks and swiping right till you see the swipe right till you see a 9x9 grid. I hope you can find and have fun visualising your taste. submitted by /u/ARG_obesessed [link] [comments]
