I’m writing this because I’ve noticed a clear difference in how international and Korean K-pop communities define the 4th and 5th generations. Interestingly, the consensus (based on all the top comments and polls I've seen across various platforms) among Korean fans seems to be that we’re still in the 4th gen era. Their reasoning is that 4th gen groups still feel fresh, remain highly relevant, and continue to dominate the current K-pop scene. From their perspective, it doesn’t make much sense to start calling it a new generation when there hasn’t been a real “passing of the torch” yet. What do you think?
