Opinions on floor seats for kpop concerts?

So I’ve only ever gotten floor seats once but I got lucky and was able to get row 2 from the extended stage. I’m planning on getting floor seats for another concert but they’re in row 5. I’m 5ft so I’ve been contemplating on getting these tickets because I’m not sure if they will be worth it. I’ve heard some people say that it’s only worth getting floor seats if you’re in rows 1-5 but anything past row 5 isn’t worth it. I had a great view in row 2 and they were really close when they actually came on to extended stage so I feel like row 5 wouldn’t be too bad of a view (I’m just scared about being seated behind tall ppl 🥲). If someone wasn't mentioned YET, it's because I'm in the process of uploding the gif. If 30 mins passed by since I did the post, and you still don't see the person you wanna vote for, please comment their name and group with a Gif or pic, but, PLEASE, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT REPEATED. Some people might not appear since they were a cusp between 2 signs, Example: Sohee from Nature is a cusp between capri and aqua, so I'll make a new category for cusp idols later. I doubled check every possible cusp idol by using the earliest and latest birth times, using their year and location to make sure everyone falls into the right category (sign). I'm Unlocking a new category Everyday 🌟 submitted by /u/Pipisito [link] [comments]

6. Mnet's BIIP copied Ateez's bouncy promotional image

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This WANTED is the image that was heavily used during ateez's bouncy promotions it was standing outside concert venues and was a bit part of that album's "outlaw" lore. I really wouldn't have any issues with a similar concept being used but it's literally the same picture (same frame, same fonts, same way of showing the members) just with slightly different silhouettes. Would any of you not assume it's the same group/song that's being promoted if you saw them side by side? submitted by /u/Megan235 [link] [comments]

We’re all counting down the days until BTS comes back after finishing their military service, and ARMY has already started a petition on Change.org for them to perform at the Super Bowl! Who knows if it will really happen, but one thing’s for sure—it shows just how much ARMY can’t wait to see BTS light up the stage again. https://kpopnews.world/entertainment-articles/bts-return-20250926.html submitted by /u/Nicklee0345 [link] [comments]

10. My issues with Stephanie Lange's video on kpop beauty standards

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As an East Asian person watching this video it rubbed me the wrong way several times. First of all, I would like to say that she does make some valid points, but a lot of her statements are over generalizations. I'm just going to put some bullet points in no particular order: 1. The way she says that kpop idols look the same in the beginning of the video. Yes, they fit the same beauty standard, yes, they can even look similar, but there is no way they look similar enough to mistake them for the same person. For example, I think there is no way you could mistake blackpink's Rosé for Jihyo from twice for example. 2. Yes, kpop idols get plastic surgery. But you know what?? So do western Hollywood celebrities, up to the same extent even. She doesn't mention that at all tho. 3. This is the one that really gets me. Mixing up Chinese beauty standards and Korean beauty standards?? Asians are not a monolith. Starting from 15:00, the procedures she describe are limited to a few extreme people in Xiaohongshu, kpop idols don't get this done at all. 4. This gets me also. Using Sulli as a talking point later in the video, even though there is so much more to her life than just rebelling against the beauty standards, such as being slut-shamed on the internet and growing up in a broken home. It feels so disrespectful just to use her as a talking point when she was so much more than that. submitted by /u/oubai-modoki [link] [comments]

21. Is there a common opinion in this subreddit that K-pop idols aren’t considered “real artists”?

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I came across a comment saying that more and more people decides to become idols because of the money and not because of the art, that it’s not a passion but a job and the art part in kpop is made by the company who only cares about the money. In different words: for this person, idols aren’t like “normal artists” and they are some kind of second class artists or aren’t artists at all. Automatically i thought that this would be an unpopular opinion, right? Since it’s a kpop sub, why exactly people engaging with kpop would agree with it? But to my surprise the comment had received a positive reaction. So it got me curious, is this a common opinion among the users of this subreddit? To me and i’m not going to try to convince anyone that idols are artists, it doesn’t sound realistic that in an industry where the majority (outside the Big 4) can’t even make enough to pay off their trainee debt, money would be such a common motivation to pursue the career. Even if we can all agree on the fact that debuting as an idol could be a shortcut to fame and recognition (when compared to others careers in the entertainment industry) and that sure there’s must be some people who pursued this path mainly because they want to be famous rather than for the artistic aspect, when faced with the real life reality that most of times they won’t earn money, fame, or recognition, it seems highly unlikely and it reads like it’s just a detrimental stereotype. submitted by /u/Silent_Advantage_794 [link] [comments]
