So I’ve only ever gotten floor seats once but I got lucky and was able to get row 2 from the extended stage. I’m planning on getting floor seats for another concert but they’re in row 5. I’m 5ft so I’ve been contemplating on getting these tickets because I’m not sure if they will be worth it. I’ve heard some people say that it’s only worth getting floor seats if you’re in rows 1-5 but anything past row 5 isn’t worth it. I had a great view in row 2 and they were really close when they actually came on to extended stage so I feel like row 5 wouldn’t be too bad of a view (I’m just scared about being seated behind tall ppl 🥲). I came across a comment saying that more and more people decides to become idols because of the money and not because of the art, that it’s not a passion but a job and the art part in kpop is made by the company who only cares about the money. In different words: for this person, idols aren’t like “normal artists” and they are some kind of second class artists or aren’t artists at all. Automatically i thought that this would be an unpopular opinion, right? Since it’s a kpop sub, why exactly people engaging with kpop would agree with it? But to my surprise the comment had received a positive reaction. So it got me curious, is this a common opinion among the users of this subreddit? To me and i’m not going to try to convince anyone that idols are artists, it doesn’t sound realistic that in an industry where the majority (outside the Big 4) can’t even make enough to pay off their trainee debt, money would be such a common motivation to pursue the career. Even if we can all agree on the fact that debuting as an idol could be a shortcut to fame and recognition (when compared to others careers in the entertainment industry) and that sure there’s must be some people who pursued this path mainly because they want to be famous rather than for the artistic aspect, when faced with the real life reality that most of times they won’t earn money, fame, or recognition, it seems highly unlikely and it reads like it’s just a detrimental stereotype. submitted by /u/Silent_Advantage_794 [link] [comments]

1) Comment only 1 girl per country along with a picture. 2) They DO NOT have to be from a K-Pop group specifically, but they do have to be from a girl group! 3) Bi-racial idols are allowed, however, if they win for one category, they are ineligible for another. 4) Votes will be calculated after 24 hours. Our girl Vivi won the spot of our Hong Kong representative! For the next round, we’re looking for a representative from Vietnam! South Korea: Jihyo (TWICE) The Philippines: Sophia (KATSEYE) Mainland China: Yuqi (i-dle) Thailand: Minnie (i-dle) India: Sriya (Blackswan) Hong Kong: Vivi (Loosemble) Once we complete this chart, we’ll do the same with a boy group! submitted by /u/sailormusic [link] [comments]
The spaghetti sauce splash? Is it done on purpose for their upcoming comebacks or is it hacked, idols spotify accounts get hacked soooo often so I wouldn't be shocked if that's the case. It's like that on every cover 😭😭 submitted by /u/42_Yudoz [link] [comments]
I've been going back and forth on what I want to do for 2027 - either a Kpop cover show and making it a mini tour across the UK and Ireland, or, making a Taylor Swift tribute. Taylor is definitely more popular for a wider audience in the UK and especially Ireland, but I also love Kpop so much. 🤷♀️ are there any UK kpop fans who could weigh in? submitted by /u/CrimsonBlade2018 [link] [comments]

I think it’s been occurring since 4th gen. And I believe even Txt’s yeonjun said this. During 4th gen NewJeans, Aespa and IVE were extremely popular and filled charts and everything. While TBZ and TxT were still popular there was never a boy group that consistently charted no 4th gen boy group has gotten a PAK while IVE and Newjeans have mutiple songs from multiple albums having PAKS. Even during 5th gen it seems like ILLIT is the most popular group even with big boy groups like zb1, tws who had a big hit and bnd. I also remember KIOF charting pretty okay. So yeah what’s the reason for girl groups being more streamed and having more hits? Is it just that girl group produce more hits or the general public prefers girl groups submitted by /u/Lumpy_Sound6734 [link] [comments]
