In 2023, I met Kang, the CEO of a small Korean company. He praised my potential but made it clear that I needed to improve my skills. He asked me to improve my Korean and gave me almost a year to prepare. We set a date: November 6, 2024. During this time, I had an inspiration: I created the group "SWG." The project took four months of intense work to complete. I presented the idea to Kang, and he liked it and said he would support the project. In the meantime, I was selected for another audition in Korea. They asked me to come to Korea on a specific date and month and said they would arrange a place for me to stay and participate in the competition. I said I couldn't go because I didn't have the money at the time, so they simply ignored me. I wanted to be loyal to Kang's small company, as I had promised, so after a while, I started ignoring another company that had contacted me. I still needed to finalize and structure the marketing strategies for the project and the necessary investment specifications for the group, something that could take approximately six months and include around 1,000 slides and other documents. Meanwhile, while preparing the marketing strategies for the group, Kang began to ignore me for an as-yet-unknown reason. I became discouraged. I became so discouraged that I stopped working on the marketing strategies and realized that perhaps I shouldn't have ignored other companies that wanted me. I simply wanted to give up on everything; it's very difficult to work without some kind of financial or business support. I was working so hard on the project that I simply ignored the people around me, including my family. During this period, I ended up having a burnout that made me lose the desire to do everything I loved, including music. I simply lost the desire to be an artist. So I wanted to give up, but while on YouTube, I came across "Agust D," the artist who sparked these dreams in me when I was 13. Hearing the song "Snooze," I finally felt the support I needed, and so I wrote a response song on June 6, 2024, called "Rosa Azul." During this time, I started thinking about the negative aspects of being an artist, such as being yelled at, exaggerated compliments, unrequited love, lack of privacy, mental exhaustion, and lack of time to focus on myself. I also learned during this period that sometimes we get so focused on our dreams that we forget to improve ourselves as human beings. The years pass so quickly, and over time we realize that we may never feel the same way again. My feelings that I had over many years simply faded. Emotions change, experiences transform us, and what was once intense can become just memories. Because people change all the time, and so do their thoughts, feelings, and opinions. Each person lives in their own world. While you see one reality or a phase of life, someone else may experience something completely different. This requires patience and empathy. We shouldn't expect everyone to think like us. It's important not to fixate on a single thing for too long. Our minds have the power to create unrealistic scenarios and possibilities that don't exist. This can generate unnecessary anxiety and frustration. The world we live in is built by our actions. There's no set destiny, only choices. Therefore, we shouldn't expect something to be prepared for us. Just go after what you want, and if something doesn't happen as expected, we must accept that there are many things we can avoid, but others that simply cannot be changed. In these cases, acceptance is the only possible path. After all, one day we will all die, and that is part of human existence. What we do between the beginning and the end is what truly matters. I'm currently taking care of my mental health. The burnout I suffered was very severe, and I had to be hospitalized and take heavy medication. And it was in this darkness that songs like Snooze made me find a reason to live again. My only dream is to meet Agust D. submitted by /u/snow20300612 [link] [comments]
Interested in old, both niche and popular kpop eurodance and trance hits mostly from the late 90s and early 00s? Give me a number between 1-121 and I'll give you a song from my euro k-pop playlist! submitted by /u/helios0l [link] [comments]
Who is your idol Mount Rushmore for Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and USA? Gender does not matter as long as the idol is from that country. (You can include Korea and other countries if you want; you can also add honorable mentions) submitted by /u/Busy_Scene_5351 [link] [comments]
As the title states: Rosé needs an improved stylist and glam team. It’s no secret that looking amazing at red carpet and press events does a lot of good for generating buzz and catching the public’s eye. For an easy comparison, look at Lisa. Her team has been pulling out all of the stops and she has been looking stunning and it’s keeping her in the press. Rosé is everywhere right now and I would love to see more looks that compliment her better! How much of what we’ve seen from Rosé do you think is her own influence? What styles would you like to see her in? Who are artists you’ve seen stay relevant through their fashion choices? submitted by /u/micdoesreddit [link] [comments]
this might might be a little controversial. i’m going to give them their 10’s because they improved a lot in their performances and stage presence. i totally agree with the criticism bcs they’ve debuted for a while and not a drastic improvement. people need to understand aespa is vocal centered yk? like how itzy is dance centered? and at the end of the day i’m just here for the music. when i turn on spotify i’m not seeing their faces but listening to the most angelic vocals submitted by /u/GYUSLOV3R [link] [comments]
Did you guys watch it? If you did, did you like? As a Fearnot-Stay im just so so happy they were invited here, both groups deserve it so much and the performances were incredible! Just so proud 💕 It also makes me a bit emotional since Le Sserafim was called the "national disgrace" but were invited here to such a huuuge stage. This is 2nd time Stray Kids perfoms in front of a SK president btw!!! Also something funny that happened is that Lee Know didnt stop haunting butts even in such a big moment lol submitted by /u/DryPollution3147 [link] [comments]
I just found exo today from their song "first snow". I've known individual members for a pretty long time now, and have listened some of their solo stuff, so I finally decided to give in and listen to the actual group, and now I'm mesmerised. It feels like fate, really, after avoiding them for so long, I'm finally exploring them right when all the members are back and there's hint of a comeback. But what... exactly happened in the past few years? It seems as if everywhere I look exo up, theres one member or the other who isn't there. I haven't really followed along the lawsuits that happened, all I'm aware of is SM is, and has always been, a crappy label towards their artists, what with the multiple lawsuits filed by so many of its former artists. Anyhow, ive mostly heard of exo with either one or two of its members leaving or on hiatus (in contrast to 'we are one', i've rarely ever seen them all as one except for wayyyy back). For one of the most legendary groups in kpop, they sure have had a lot to deal with. So...what exactly was their career trajectory, what went down behind cameras, and where do we stand now in terms of ever seeing a full comeback with all 9 (?is that right?) members? I would love to be able to witness them and see them perform live as a whole, but at the present moment I'm not even sure if that's gonna happen. submitted by /u/ghurrat-al-layl [link] [comments]
So, Twice just announced the US dates for their 2026 tour, and there were so many unexpected cities like Vancouver, Boston, Philadelphia, Denver and Saint Paul. And I think touring companies need to start paying attention, not every K-Pop can afford to travel for shows, and it's just really nice to see a group finally expand outside of the normal cities for K-Pop tour. This does make me a bit hopeful going foward with other tours, but I could be proven wrong submitted by /u/cwarosvski [link] [comments]
I know something was sampled unless my mind is messing with us.. Specifically this part of the first verse: Why you acting real nice? Yeah, should I remind ya? Pull up, I got receipts (Ooh) You be the type to sell me a lie Just to get you what you need, oh I love the song so much and ive been listening to it everyday since it came out, and i remember listening to the song that was sampled growing up i just cant for the life of me figure it out😭😭!!! My mom thinks a part of the chorus was sampled too, but i dont see it.. maybe im too young to realize LOL but yeah. I love m.o so much!! the creativity was insane submitted by /u/Legal-Coach9826 [link] [comments]

I think it's kind of interesting just how obsessed people are with this girl that there is ALWAYS some kind of discussion about her behavior, her attitude, her looks, her skills... Like so obsessive that the thing she's getting hate for right now is being absent when some fans pictured the other members being together... I honestly would love for someone to analyze this phenomenon that people seem to have towards Wonyoung because as a fan of kpop since 2017 I genuinely can't think of any idol that has been in people's mouth for this long and this obsessive. The closest is Jennie, but even then I think atleast for her some of the criticism is valid. Wonyoung seems to have been in headlines for a hundred different 'controversies' and has yet to do something actually 'controversial'. Is it that? Are people still so obsessed, even after 4-5 years to critisize this girl because they simply can't believe that they're not going to find dirt on her? submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]

I’m sure some of you saw this already, but Rosé from BLACKPINK was at the Saint Laurent 2026 S/S Show in Paris with Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and Charli XCX. W Magazine uploaded the full group photo — you can clearly see Rosé standing right there. But then ELLE UK posted a version where she’s just… cropped out. Like seriously? If they try to excuse it as “Instagram sizing,” they have an entire team of creatives who could’ve figured out a way to post the photo without leaving her out. Then Charli XCX uploaded a shot where Rosé ended up in the dark on the edge of the frame. Probably just bad flash, but it still feels like no one was concerned about showing her properly. The fact that this happened to Rosé — who isn’t just a global star but also an MBE — is actually so embarrassing. Why is it always the K-pop idols who get sidelined in Western media coverage? submitted by /u/ISaidHaiHai [link] [comments]

Now that most spotify users have lossless, what songs have you noticed sound much better? (Pls include bsides 😥) I did not expect this song to sound so much better but using dolby atmos and lossless literally makes this an entire different song. I'm obsessed. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
One of the reason why 4th gen boygroups didn't chart as high as their girlgroups counterpart especially in their home country Korea is the stereotype surrounding them that they're not versatile only doing dark edgy/strong concept with loud EDM sound. But we all know that's not true because there are groups like TXT and enhypen who's very far from that stereotype. My question is which group is responsible for Creating this stereotype? submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]
