Seasons greetings! I'm making a trading card bot for discord! But I need the pictures! I would love Kpop artists as a subcategory, in addition to anime, comics, and other media of all kinds, etc. The bot also adds frames to the cards, and those are definitely needed! Currently, the bot is not up, but is functional and coded and I do indeed have hosting etc.! It just needs pictures! Here's what I've got and where I'm going: Currencies The bot has two basic currencies and timed cooldowns. Quarters = Gained by chatting over time in applicable servers or from using a /daily command. Used to pull cards from card machines. Votes = Gained by voting on topgg. Used to trade/sell cards to other players (when I code that), and vote on new features and content that I will add to the project. This should take people a while to accumulate. Getting Cards Currently, there are two kinds of pull: 1.) Single Pull = Pull a card from a set of pools 2.) Three Pull = Choose 1 card from a set of 3 I'm definitely down to add new ways to acquire cards. These are then split into categories, ranging from general pulls to Kpop to Anime and whatever else people want to add, as well as special seasonal pulls, etc. Rarity Rarity involves a small percentage of numbered cards. These are the best cards available. It then grades the cards- S, A+, A, A-, B+ ... D-, F Card grade is just for fun/collection and won't effect performance on cards at any point. Trading Is currently possible! I'm working on more ways to trade as well as a better trade menu, but right now it's done by viewing their card, making an offer and having them accept! I honestly find it so disheartening how quickly K-pop stans are willing to overlook blatant racism and cultural appropriation the moment a group drops some catchy beats and slick choreography. This is exactly why the issue of racism in the industry never really gets addressed because fans are too eager to sweep it under the rug if the music slaps. It’s frustrating to watch. Seeing all these posts praising ADP’s music is honestly rubbing me the wrong way. Not long ago, the conversation was all about their cultural appropriation and problematic visuals. But now? It’s like everyone just collectively decided to forget because the songs are "bangers." And I have to ask is does good music cancel out racism? Is it really that easy to overlook harm as long as it’s packaged with a beat drop? Personally, I just can’t bring myself to listen to a single song from them, no matter how trendy or catchy it is. The Verycoybunny works well with the vibe that the tune delivers. I also like how well Park Soeun complements the vocals from Varycoybunny as they both work wonderfully together. I am a fan of JYP artists. I feel like none of the recent come backs made a huge success. Regardless which group or solo. People keep saying the song selection is off. They are losing the general public's interest. I think to certain point it is true. None of the new songs hit me as hard as before. But if I look at other groups from different (bigger) agencies, if the group reaches certain level (top tier) they can release whatever songs and people still likes it. Switching concepts or styles isn't a big problem. Is it purely about song taste? or is it also marking and charisma? My thoughts : It was a well structured song with full of catchy verses in their deep voices.. The song starting with Annie's deep voice is so intriguing from the start. I love her girl crush aura sm. I personally loved Youngseo's part so much, it's stuck in my head 24/7 and the second one was WOOCHAN's amazing rap especially those iconic lines : " Im stacking my dollars" " Not even famous but they wanna be us"...agghh the flow he got ....he easily became my bias. Second thought is BAILEY SOK !! The queen she is, she has been very famous and talented dancer but idk if i was living under a rock or smtg cus i didn't know abt her at all. And the 2nd thing is her RAP (not in 'Famous' but in WICKED), she's truly amazing. Her dance break at the last with the beat change was spectacular ✨️👌 And lastly, TARZZAN's rap, it was good ofc. But he didn't catch my attention at the first sight, but i liked his voice. I loved the combination of Bailey and Tarzzan, their paired choreo is a feast to the eyes😍. Let me explain, I love Rami but not her fans... Since she went on hiatus, people always comment in every videos "miss you Rami" or this type but when it 's Rora that covers rami's high note they are like "Rami is better". So, I was into shipping hardcore during my teen years (taekook 😮‍💨🤫). I had thought I had got over it as i matured. But now I feel like I'm being pulled into the shipping again with the bts comeback and ship pages and reels automatically coming in my feed 😭. Honestly, it's not a good feeling. I try to look at it from a realistic lens but these idols do feed our delusions sometimes is what I feel. Isn't it high time they start being open about who they are and also what's stopping full grown adults like them from revealing sexualities and denying rumours and ships. I have heard south korean culture could be homophobic, but honestly..they even had a pride parade this year there and these idols are already rich enough and won't lose that many fans if they did open up about their relationships. Why feed poor international armys who don't understand head nor tail. I'm honestly fed up and I feel this is not right from even the idol's side.
