I really love ITZY and I think their songs are amazing, kiss & tell was so so good but I feel like it barely made any noise. I see so many hate trains on twitter and I feel like they’re so talented so the hate isn’t warranted at all. Sneakers I guess could be considered the turning point for them but why is their hate so constant? submitted by /u/Dear-Journalist-903 [link] [comments]

I am genuinely curious about their impact within the kpop scene and beyond that ....Yesterday, I was watching a post maybe in this sub or any other sub i don't excatly remember. It was a question that which kpop group do you think can be impactful as BTS and Blackpink especially in the western music industry....so most of the comments were if there is any group that would have been as successful as BTS and Blackpink in the west it was New jeans... Some even argued that while groups like Seventeen, Twice, Stray Kids and Lesserafim has solid fanbase in the west, but they are relatively unknown to the avg gp....tbh I was a casual listener of New jeans before the conflict...their songs were earwarming but I always got confused with their names and looks, therefore I found it difficult to connect to them...but after the conflict I got to know more about them and their impact...I know they were literally Korea's sweet heart and they were quite popular in Japan and SEA....but is it true they were that popular in the west as well? submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]
For me Replay by SHINee ✨ It never gets old. And every year it feels like a new Kpop groups does a cover of it. I don’t trust a Kpop fan if they don’t know this song. submitted by /u/213Nicholas_Louie [link] [comments]

The HYBE X Game Caterers picnic 3 years ago was such a great show because it brought together (mostly) full groups from across HYBE to compete and play games against each other. It was such a good way to get fans to know about other groups. As a big fan of JYPE groups Twice, Itzy and NMIXX and casual fan of some of the other groups, I've been hoping and waiting for a JYPE edition of the show ever since. Not just to see my faves, but because it feels like there has been a decrease in the family camaraderie of "JYP Nation" after JYP reorganized the company into separate managing divisions. So it would be great to build some of that back via a company-wide picnic and seems like nearly all the groups are participating. Although, from the preview it seems like each group was limited to 4 members only, which is a severe bummer, especially since some of the top players apparently were not at the event. The show should show up on this Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@15ya_egg Game Caterer's final game is always Random Play Dance, where the idols have to dance the choreo for the kpop song that comes on. If they don't know it, they get eliminated. So I'm going to share my thoughts on which members of Twice, Itzy and NMIXX would do the best in the Random Play Dance. If you have thoughts on the other groups, post your thoughts in the comments! Note: I thought up most of this before I knew from the teaser that not all members would be attending. Member's attending this event are in Bold. TWICE - As a senior group, Twice doesn't do a lot of outside variety shows anymore so we haven't seen much from them in the past few years for kpop dances that are not their own other than dance challenges. In their younger days, Dahyun and Momo would be the ones that seemed to know the most dances but it's unclear whether they've kept up the interest at this point in their careers. Momo - always the most interested in dance and in past seemed to know a lot of song choreos. Reputation for ability to see and dance once and learn the choreo already. Mina - at their fan meeting last year, Twice had a random dance and surprisingly Mina seemed to know many of the recent songs. But she'd have to overcome her reticence. Dahyun - got into kpop from her love of dance and in early days seemed to know all the songs, but in recent years as she's focused on acting, she's seemed less connected to the kpop scene Jihyo - seems to have a lot of kpop connections but her interests outside her job don't seem centered around kpop. But she's done a bunch of challenges during her solo promotions. Nayeon - similar to Jihyo but probably more into the kpop scene as a hobby and has done lots of challenges during her two solo promotions. Tzuyu - she seems to like dance, and did a bunch of challenges during solo promotions Sana - huge amount of kpop connections but she usually chooses the simplified version during challenges Jeongyeon - had the past reputation of making the most mistakes in their own dances. Has many kpop friends but doesn't seem to be into dance for its own sake rather than her job. Chaeyoung - has stated she hates dance challenges because she can't learn them quickly. Seems like her personal music preferences are not kpop, so doesn't seem like she would do well. Who would do the best (if all members): Momo, Mina, Nayeon Of those attending: Nayeon might go the furthest but they all will likely get eliminated by midpoint. ITZY - The most dance-focused of JYP's korean girl groups, this group could dominate. Chaeryoung - nickname professor of dance, she seems to live and breathe kpop and dancing. always seems to know the latest dances and breaks into little choreo moves often when a lyric comes up. Often does Dance Livestreams where she shows deep knowledge of kpop dances old and new. Yeji - also seems to immerse herself in kpop, loves dance, does Dance Lives doing lots of old and new dances. Such a huge bummer that she wasn't there (apparently was at a fashion show trip) Ryujin - also seems to immerse herself in kpop, loves dance, does Dance Lives doing lots of old and new dances. Yuna - loves dance but at a level below the above. Hasn't done many/any dance lives. Lia - didn't have much dance background before becoming a trainee, focuses mostly on vocals and just dances enough to not negatively stand out. Low confidence she knows many dances. If full group: Chaeryoung, Yeji and Ryujin would advance far into the contest Attending: Chaeryoung will go the furthest with chance to win. Ryujin will also do well. NMIXX - although a vocal-focused group, they are no slouches in the dance realm either. Kyujin - absolute disaster that she will not be at this event. I would have picked her to win the whole thing. She absolutely loves to dance and loves kpop so much. She's young and seems the type of kid that learned all the dances for the heck of it and now she's a pro at it. She does long solo dance lives taking requests from viewers and she knows lots of them and if not she goes and watches the video for it and comes back and does the dance. Jiwoo - young and into got into kpop for the love of it. Haven't seen her do a dance live though. Haewon - doesn't seem like dance was her first passion but she's good at it and diligent. Her activity throughout the entertainment industry exposes her to a lot of other groups and dance challenges. Sullyoon - got into kpop for the love of it. She gets asked a lot to do dance challenges for her visuals but her dance is great too. She was a music show host so that also exposed her to a lot of dances and invites to do dance challenges. Lily - known for her vocals but is a good dancer also. But her outside interests seem centered around books and stuff outside kpop, so I don't think she is at home learning choreo just for fun. If full group: Kyujin by a huge landslide. I originally thought of this post to predict her as the winner so I'm devastated that she is not participating. Attending: Haewon or Sullyooon may go the furthest Predictions: Of these groups, Itzy will go the furthest in the Random Dance and, of the members I've listed, Chaeryoung would be my contender to win the whole thing. Stray Kids will also do well Xdinary Heroes will bow out early What do you think? Agree or disagree? Add in your thoughts for the boy groups, Niziu, etc. submitted by /u/hiroo916 [link] [comments]
