Being on K-Pop twitter/tiktok/insta I keep seeing this recurring theme of complaints about things being “money grabs” or fans wanting their idols to skip touring for a year to take breaks, and while I understand what people are trying to get at, I think a lot of fans (not all) forget that K-Pop is a BUSINESS. Albums and Singles cost money to produce (just for tours you need to pay for - VCRs, Costumes, Plane Tickets, Visas, Audio, Visual, Merch, Mics, iPads, Security, Cars - you name it). Merchandise costs money to be made, Albums, production teams, equipment, all of it costs money to be made. OF COURSE the fans end up footing some of the bill. If you think about these companies, whether they’re big or small, they need to generate money to keep the lights on in Korea, pay the idols, the people work WITH the idols and everything in between. EVERYTHING is a money grab. That’s the whole point… But touring in particular, that’s one of the ways that idols make THEIR OWN money. In a lot of these contracts, idols get to take more of the profits than they do from their albums. So yes, while tours are exhausting, this is how idols can pay off their families’ homes, open businesses, buy apartments, go on vacations. Yes, the economy is shitty in a lot of places around the world, and each person has the ability to decide how they want to spend their money. But if you want your groups to keep promoting, to have money for new projects, new tech, new costumes, and to keep funding their dream… The fans help contribute to that with the stuff they buy and the shows they attend. submitted by /u/Old-Pomegranate1199 [link] [comments]

Is NjDrama sub a snark sub?. I saw a post where NJdrama sub was also included in a discussion for banning snark sub users... Apart from BP and BTS snark subs ...what all subs need to be included. View Poll submitted by /u/_Prize_Resort_8358 [link] [comments]

It sounds like it came out in like 2013 and not today and not in a cool y2k way. It sounds so artificial and annoying to me. I'm disappointed because twice is one of my top favourites and I could've never seen a flop like this coming from them. Ofc everybody is hyping it up like it's the best song of the year. I seriously have to disagree. It's basically no different than Katy Perry's woman's world. It just gives me the ick. And the irony as well that they may have edited a members body shape 👀 in a music video of some kinda cringe ass girl power song is crazyyy. Anyways I just needed to complain cause idk why everyone is hyping this song tf up. We need to stop lyinggggg to these groups so that we get more good stuff instead of cringe. submitted by /u/HeebieJeebiex [link] [comments]

To top it all off, Jihyo’s life as a trainee and idol has been longer than my entire existence on Earth. Side Note: Before training at JYPE, she trained at SM Entertainment for a year. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]

unfortunately... my last post on my other account was unfairly downvoted when i was just trying to explain what my meditation and guide have shown me about enhypens souls (crestlessjoe)- you HAVE to be aware of what kind of souls the media you consume is exposing you to. pm with any questions - i got a request for a bts soul ranking so that one is coming soon (working towards uncovering the truth about their souls!!) submitted by /u/CrestedJoe [link] [comments]
I attended the deadline tour last night (07/13/25) in LA and had a blast. I so notice since the tour started that people online keep posting about Jennie being “lazy” and or taking “breaks” during performances of some songs. I didn’t notice this during my experience, but I could be in the moment, but I just wanted to get people’s opinions and thoughts on this? Take everything into consideration (good and bad) before commenting. submitted by /u/karinasrabbit [link] [comments]

So I have been a big fan of JYPE groups (Jyp included) for over 5 years and I have noticed something. I don't know if it's just me but JYPE ENTERTAINMENT feels like a company that makes music because Jyp (the guy) and the people there genuinely love music not because they want money (unlike YG ENTERTAINMENT). JYPE ENTERTAINMENT also feels like a small company that doesn't care about their artists fame and who unexpectedly became big. Like when Jyp made the company his goal was never to build one of the biggest company in Korea, it was only to make music, help people make their dreams come true and have fun. Even now I think it's the same (Please don't drag me for this post I'm writing this at 3am) submitted by /u/straykifsontop [link] [comments]
