Karma just came out and so far, CREED is my fave! What are your thoughts? Whatโs your fave song so far? To be 100% honest, ceremony kinda felt off with so many English lines, it sounded like it was hard for them to fit so many words into the rhythm but the ending was SOO ADDICTIVE! no hate, just honest opinions and all songs are really amazing! (INCLUDING CEREMONY, MY CRITISISM IS JUST SOMETHING I FOUND A BIT OFF IN THE ALBUM AND ITS STILL SO GOOD NO MATTER WHAT! donโt kill me please๐ญ ) submitted by /u/DefNotLix [link] [comments]

The seeds were randomized and I didnโt pick the matchups. The songs picked are amongst their most popular because theyโre easy to recognize. If you have another song suggestion you may leave it in the comments but please refrain from complaining about the song not being included. I also try to switch up the listed songs every new round, so the songs you might not know from a group might not be listed as they were listed the previous round. Either way, feel free to recommend them in the comments if youโd like. View Poll submitted by /u/PushOffTheGround [link] [comments]

what are a few things that you don't understand about the Kpop industry? It can be something petty or silly, or maybe something a little more serious (though please try not to make generalizations about Korea or Koreans as a whole). For me, I don't understand why companies will deliberately seek out a six member group, spend millions on their debut, and then confine them to choreographies/formations that are usually meant for five member groups. Like... why even have a six member group at all when it's clear you'd prefer a five member model... submitted by /u/Lost-Opinion3554 [link] [comments]

Honorable mentions go out to fromis_9, P1Harmony, The Boyz, and Oh My Girl. Rules: You will have approximately 24 hours to vote. I'd prefer it if you mention one artist per comment and that the artist in question had a "middling fanbase" during their peak. The table of far: Row 1: BTS, Loona, Dreamcatcher Row: 2: IVE, STAYC submitted by /u/VigilMuck [link] [comments]

Iโv been noticing something interesting with smaller agencies like Modhaus (one behind tripleS/Artemis), has been pushing NFT photocard=objekt, mostly thanks to backing from web3/blockchain investors. I got curious and looked into it and apparently their cosmo app lets you buy/own digital photocards as NFTs and the more you collect the more voting power you get to actually influence an idolโs future activities. Basically a mini DAO governance system for kpop fans. Modhaus just also debuted their new boy group idntt and the marketing has been super aggressive both online and offline. At first I was like shouldnโt fans get to know the members and build some attachment before getting flooded with photocards? initially felt like they were leaning way too hard on nft stuff right out of the gate. But maybe thatโs the play. flip the order, get people hooked on the collecting side first then have them naturally start paying attention to the group through that process. Tokenizing the physical cards into nfts makes it feel like youโre basically playing an addictive game and I get why that could be fun. Whatโs interesting is how theyโre spreading this across different platforms. Sure Withmuu is handing out objekts with album purchases, pretty standard stuff in the industry. But theres something with Bunjang. I always thought of it as just a resale app like the kpop version of FB marketplace where fans trade their own merch. Turns out theyโre now doing official drops too and they launched an exclusive limited idntt objekt there? My first impression was just how much effort Modhaus was putting in but that move makes a lot of sense, even expanding into resale platforms can fuel both offline and online demand. And since bunjangโs objekts are capped at two cards per member they could end up being quite rare. Iโm a bit old fashioned so Iโve only ever collected physical photocards and never messed with the nft side since it seemed harder to keep track of. but Iโm curious enough about the whole offline to online thing that I might grab a few just to test it outโฆ also Dohun has definitely caught my eye already. Anyways what do you guys think about Modhausโs whole objekt strategy? submitted by /u/Warm_Maintenance2715 [link] [comments]
Illitโs music is very refreshing to me because it felt very jpop. It reminds me of the Japanese music that used to be very popular back in the day. Even their mvs reminded me of them. And I love how it made feel good as a girl. Like Do the dance made me want to dance like I am magical girl with a tutu and Magnetic is nice. I mostly love pimple and little monster since it made me cry sometimes. I really enjoy their music for a while and I am excited for their Japanese comeback soon. submitted by /u/Routine_Example5803 [link] [comments]
