Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. The subreddit is mostly uncensored as long as people follow the rules. Generalizing statement about Korea, Korean society, etc or most other countries are not acceptable except under the following standards: The only claims that are acceptable when generalizing Korean society in this sub are those that bring up generalizable stastical claims by the standards of the international statistics institute. Not only do the vast majority of stastistics you can find on the internet about Korea not up to this minimum, basic standard but this requirement includes having ample sample size, blocking by relevant demographics and sometimes even double blind tests. So if you make a generalizing claim, your wording must be properly formatted and links to the relevant studies provided. In other words, the standard for making a generalization is very high in this sub. Not to mention the wording for your claim has to be properly made. Anyone who has taken a college level statistics class will know what I am talking about and we may even require you to provide the confidence level interval if it's relevant for your study. I've seen a lot of videos recently of Annie and Woochan in fashion week together and they look so good. But Woochan and Youngseo shippers are triggered seeing him with Annie. The comments are filled with people who are constantly saying that Woochan looks better with Youngseo. Or that they miss the "Wooseo" ship. Or they hope Annie and Woochan aren't dating because he's better than Youngseo. And mostly just coming for anyone who think they looked good together with backhanded comments like "He looked better with Youngseo" 😭. Shipping is expected when it comes to co-ed groups but this is getting ridiculous. Annie is also getting some criticism because of this which I find even weirder. I dont think it's ever really this serious because they're all close and all in the same group. And they're also most likely not dating either and if they are, I'd be so happy for them. How is Pow doing in the domestic market because it doesn’t look they have hits internationally. All the other members of Trainee A seem to be doing fine with success/popularity( JJ in smtr25, and Leowon will also debut in Ald1 and hopefully the music is good) but I haven’t seen much about Yorch and they seem to be a very small group. And other than this group is he gonna do anything else for his career bc he was also an actor in Thailand. I really hope he does well bc he was supposed to debut in a hybe group that had so much potential to be successful. And all his peers are doing well so he deserves more too. I posted this in the traineeA page too. Btw this is just a discussion/question pls don’t get angry. So I got tickets when they first went on sale and now prices dropped so much (Balcony is $80 and floor is only $91!). Way better what I originally paid. I get they did this to sell a lot more tickets as it wasn't selling the best, but it really screws over fans who originally bought tickets and we can't even upgrade because the tickets cost less than what we paid... Really makes you reconsider buying tickets for a less popular concert and it makes people gamble on waiting very last minute betting on price drops. Though this is risky as if sales are too low then the promoter might just outright cancel the show instead... I just wish Ticketmaster let you upgrade even if the ticket costs less now so fans don't get completely screwed over when stuff like this happens.
