Just like the title said, Soobin appeared on Radio Star today for the first time in 6 years and got a lot of attention for his variety show skills. For people who are unfamiliar with Radio Star, it is a talk show with 4 hosts, who tend to be very direct and sometimes messy towards their guests. They usually ask out of pocket questions or bring up sensitive topics. Soobin came with a rookie mindset to this show, who wanted to showcase his variety skills and even said to the hosts: "I like mischievous teasing so i hope you drive me crazy!! i hope you make me want to cry" 😭 Later on, there was a talk about how he became the leader of the group. This is what Soobin said: - I get along with people easily and they said that they thought i’d be a good bridge between the members and the company - The members are all very pure so they can’t openly express things so they said that i should be the representative person that does that - I don’t hesitate even while speaking to the company so they say that i’m the lee hongki of hybe (Lee Hongki of Ft. Island was another guest of the show) - Even before this filming, the managers told me to watch what i say, they said that they can’t come in with him so i need to choose my words wisely Therefore Hongki said, that he should be careful with what he says regarding contracts, to which Soobin answered: "It doesn’t matter, we’re currently in our contract renewal period so we hold the upper hand" 😂 the hosts were dying of laughter after this response. And the highlight of this episode, was him showing off his self acquired "Personal Skill" for the first time ever: Watermelon Eating Skill. He said, that whenever Idols come on the show, they usually have a talent in impersonating others, but he is not as confident in that skill, so he thought of something else. He said that he can eat a Watermelon Slice in under 3 sec, which sounds insane at first, but the video is kinda impressive. Even his members were confused and asked him why he would do all that in his 7th year as an idol 😭 Besides the stuff I mentioned above, he also talked about his members, touring, Resident Playbook (he and Yeonjun had a cameo on the show), Kpop Demon Hunters (how the Saja Boys were inspired by TXT and Yeonjun) and the upcoming comeback on July 21st!! Soobin was praised by the hosts for his variety show skills, "unique talent" and his witty responses and he is even going super viral right now in Korea!! submitted by /u/jacqui1997 [link] [comments]

I was listening to the interview of the voice actors in K-pop Demon Hunters. One of them said, "I like BTS. If you ever get into K-pop, you should listen to BTS." Many people were like, "Why would you say that when the movie K-pop Demon Hunters is about uplifting women?" "Boy group fans are so men-centered." Most of them gg fans. (Not being rude, it's what I saw.) Two of my friends are girl group fans. Whenever I recommend a boy group song, they never like it. I saw that most girl group fans are not very open to boy groups, and boy group fans are open ( I listen to whatever my two friends recommend, and I like some.) submitted by /u/Intelligent_Most_570 [link] [comments]

I just came across a tweet that wished Jisoo gets raped. I don’t even know how this became acceptable, but it needs to stop. I get disliking an idol, maybe an idol isn’t your cup of tea and that’s fine, but wishing them to get raped, beaten, killed, assaulted or whatever else is ABHORRENT AND DISGUSTING. Everyone in that fandom needs to hold their own accountable instead of dismissing them as a solo or “not a real fandom member.” Rant over. submitted by /u/CosmicCuriosity04 [link] [comments]

Before going to my first concert, I also thought that taking too many videos would ruin the experience. But then I realised that for me, it’s often the opposite. In this post I’m just sharing my own personal experience, which obviously won’t apply to everyone. Some people enjoy concerts more by taking fewer videos/photos and some enjoy them more by taking many. Both are completely valid. Personally, when I went to my first concert, I thought that taking fewer videos would help me “live in the moment” better like many people say. So overall, I only recorded 3-4 videos of different performances, and just one of them was a full performance while the others were short clips. I didn’t even take any photos because it didn’t cross my mind at the time. Well, I ended up regretting not taking more videos and photos. The next day, besides having the usual post concert depression, I felt a little sad because even though I knew rationally that I had been there, my mind couldn’t actually remember almost anything, it felt blurry, It’s hard to explain, I was there but I was so overstimulated that I didn’t live the moment. All my memories are mostly from videos that I saw of other people online, I don’t really remember things from my pov. The few videos I had did help me remember a bit, but when I saw the videos that other people had taken, I realised how many moments I had completely forgotten. I think this is also related to my ADHD. For those who don’t know, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, memory, and processing. For me, it means that when I’m really overstimulated (like at a concert), it becomes harder to store memories properly, so videos/photos can help me “keep” those moments. Now, I’m not saying I’ll film every single performance in full at my next concert, of course not. But I’ll definitely take way more videos and photos. I guess I just wanted to say that not everyone who takes lots of videos and photos isn’t enjoying the moment. For some of us, that’s actually how we remember the moment best. (Then there are people that only make videos/photos for online content, personally I don’t, I mostly keep them for myself.) So please try not to judge people or assume things about them. If you personally enjoy concerts more by not recording or by taking only a few clips, that’s great! I’m not saying this should apply to everyone. submitted by /u/ForceApprehensive597 [link] [comments]

So I saw a clip of one of Keeho’s lives he had done talking about pcs, talking the pics, and generally talking to fans about it, a fan asked him to guess how many pcs they have and he said “idk like 12”, then one person said like 300+ of just him and he was lowkey judging harddddd. I collect pcs & albums and stuff and it’s always been in the back of my mind that like it lowkey weird to collect pictures of people like that but like idkkk. I know it’s a main culture if K-pop but ykkkk submitted by /u/Amberlily1 [link] [comments]

I'm trying to make a list of all the "characters" or "types" that you see pop up across many different K-pop groups. I'm not referring to official group positions like main vocalist, leader, visual, etc. but to "unofficial" roles that are given by fans. Some examples would be: Personality/performance types: "Happy virus" Duo types: Tom & Jerry Unofficial positions: Stan attractor What other "archetypes" can you think of that you seem to see in every group? submitted by /u/pussycontrolgonemad [link] [comments]
