I’ve never heard this problem with music before and listen to almost any genre. I have many Kpop songs from different groups on repeat but… I’m a new fan of (specific 4th gen gg) but I can’t get into their music. They have some good old songs but none that I’ll have on repeat. It’s hard to enjoy fan cams and support in streaming when their songs feel like (not to be dramatic) nails on a chalkboard in my ears. This is a appreciation and proof on how Twice keeps it refreshing... When we found out that Twice was going to have sub-unit songs in This is For Album we might have thought 🤔 sub units well what are the Twice sub units? You might have thought the OG sub units : 3 Mix (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo) due their 6Mix days and the top 3 vocalist. MiSaMo/J-Line (Momo, Sana, Mina) due to being all Japanese and recent SubUnit releases in Japan as MiSaMo. School Meals Club (SMC) / Makane Line (Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) due to being the 3 youngest of the team. Or maybe the Formula of Love Sub Units (balanced units) that contained at least 1 vocalist per units: - Jihyo, Sana, Dahyun - Nayeon, Momo, Chaeyoung - Jeongyeon, Mina, Tzuyu But No they gave us something unexpected that were not following the former trio sub-units but still made it work. GOAT: has Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Mina... Like okay hey you wanted SMC or DubChang, but how about we replace Tzuyu with Mina, cuz who in their right mind expect DubChang with Sharon in there? Killed it. My favorite. BATTITUDE: has Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Mina... Like hey how about we walk away from trios go for a quatro and make it with a random combo of 2 of 3Mix and 2 of MiSaMo? Owned it. FAMOUS is also still gaining around 700k streams a day on Spotify Produced How It's Done, Soda Pop, Golden and Your Idol from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, which are all currently charting in the Top 10 on Global Spotify. I dont really follow both group religiously but pretty much a casual listener and afaik from what I see Twice is more male dominated fandom while Illit is more female dominated fandom. I find it interesting & amusing how it can be like that. Like both group come from their own company's survival show, both debut with fresh cute song & keep releasing catchy cute songs for a while, both have cute logo & merch (look at both of their lighstick soooo cute & girly🥹🤏🏻), both debut in same age range, both have Japanese members (idk if its necessary or not but it fits the similarity hsksksk 😭).
