Started watching Seventeen this week and they're funny funny

I became a BTS fan during the release of Dynamite and have been a fan ever since. Recently, I’ve started watching SEVENTEEN, and although I’m not fully immersed in their content yet, I get the feeling that CARATs are very welcoming. To my fellow ARMY-CARATs, do you feel the same? I’ve been on and off ARMY social media because of some solo stans in the fandom, there's toooo much especially from Jimin fans (sorry guys it's just from personal experience). Is there a lot of toxicity among CARATs too? submitted by /u/AdBackground1419 [link] [comments]

1.012. SNSD’s single run before their hiatus was iconic, legendary

  • 1 week ago schedule

I have been continuously listening to SNSD’s last comebacks. Mr. Mr., Catch Me If You Can, the Boys, Lion Heart, Holiday. They were so versatile and high quality music. The way Lion Heart being the last massive hit song by a 2nd gen artist and swept 15 wins on music shows and gathering YouTube views were so legendary. SNSD will never be beaten by anyone and their legacy is so strong and special. submitted by /u/leonardreignn [link] [comments]

1.013. To be an idol you must be a little brainwashed.

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

And don't get me wrong, but for me, being an idol means that you have to “self-convince” yourself of many things, otherwise you don't survive the industry. You have to convince yourself that you're always going to have to show the best part of yourself, because if you make a false step you're going to be criticized. You have to convince yourself that exhausting yourself physically and emotionally is good, because you have to be perfect for your fans. I have seen many times idols cry, despise themselves and fall apart just to “please the fans”. No one should go to such lengths just to not get hate. Edit before you cancel me: I know some idols are speaking up about this, and I am completly supportive of them trying to give visibility to what they have to live with. submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]

1.015. Wholesome idol x fandom moments

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I'm basically using this post to go on a little rant about Doyoung. He's one of my ults and today he took the 2nd win for Memory. Previously he didn't attend the broadcast for the 1st win so he told czennies that if he won today he'd sing the encore with them. Lo and behold he won but he got so overwhelmed and emotional that he could just get his speech out somehow but couldn't sing at all. The fans present there then proceeded to sing the encore parts for him. The fanchants during his performance were also so so loud. Watching this live made me tear up a little ngl. These last few months have particularly been a bit tough being a Czennie and specially with the case trial happening right in the middle of his promotions, I wondered if it would impact his work in anyway. I'm glad he's been receiving such good praise for his album and his concerts also went really well. My czennie heart is full 💚 I'd love to hear if y'all have experienced any moments like this that made you happy to be part of a fandom. submitted by /u/Chutneysandwich16 [link] [comments]

1.016. Aespa Giselle Clothing choice??

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Im not a diehard Aespa fan or anything like that but I have notice in some recent performance from Aespa that she looks more like a backup dancer than being part of a group? Like the only reason I can tell shes Giselle is due to her hair color. Why are they doing this to Giselle? Like what did she do to piss off their stylist? submitted by /u/PonyyingBop [link] [comments]

1.026. Is the new generation of K-Pop girl groups struggling with the GP in Korea?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I understand we're very early into the 5th gen but it seems like none of the 5th gen groups have managed to capture the same success as their seniors? I don't know much about boy groups, but I get the sense that they're even less popular with the GP than girl groups. The current leader - Babymonster hasn't had a national hit. They've been growing exponentially on every metric domestically and globally, but they don't have that one signature hit that'll cement them in the big leagues. The formerly potential leader Illit had a national hit, and then kinda of fizzled out. Even their latest release isn't doing too hot. H2H barely made any noise. JYP doesn't have a 5th gen group yet, but Nmixx weren't ever particularly successful or considered one of the top group despite having debuted for quite some time. Yes, I understand it takes time to build a fanbase, but I didn't feel like that was the case for 4th gen? Like Itzy, Ive, Izone all came out bursting on the scene and quickly shot to the top. They didn't need time to grow to overtake their seniors. They came out and instantly became the hot new thing. Same with Newjeans. Idle & Aespa took sometime, but it was relatively short, and after they got to the top they've managed to cling on with longevity. And to an extent, Lesserafim while not having a national hit also established themselves as one of the top groups quite quickly. But I don't see any of the new girl groups doing that? Is there a reason why? Is Korea just tired of K-Pop in general? I know many of them just debuted, but some Big 3 5th gen groups have been out for over a year and aren't anywhere near where their seniors were at this point in time. Is it oversaturation? submitted by /u/papapamrumpum [link] [comments]

1.029. Is the imagery in Baby DONT Cry mv teaser a bit weird ?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Baby DONT Cry, pnation gg, released a teaser for their mv. I don’t know if I can actually describe the scene but it involves something that is associated with certain themes. A member is seen trying to buy it from a male shopkeeper. She then takes off the wrapper and puts “candy” in her mouth. I personally have no problem with this theme as long as it involves adults. The group has minor members and the other girls are super young. I don’t know how the company approved this scene without knowing that it is inappropriate for the members. Idk maybe it is supposed to convey some sort of message or commentary. It’s not a “if a male idol would have done it, you wouldn’t care” situation either. I know minors in real life engage in these activities. But to show it in a video with overt suggestive scene seems odd. Yes, the mv hasn’t been released yet but this scene won’t be changed regardless of the whole mv plot. And it obviously doesn’t concern the actual song. Ps: obviously the soon to debut members are not at fault here. Or any lone producer of the group. Everyone who approved this video should be questioned. submitted by /u/Gisntd [link] [comments]
