Ew trump. I do not support any misogynistic, white nationalist, incel, hitler-like (esp. Musk), racists at all and neither does this sub and apparently neither does reddit as a site as a whole. He stands against everything Kpop stands for which is an art form from a formerly colonized people from a country that is rising up against colonialism and hatred. Anyone who comments anything negative to this, or tries to defend that orange guy will be banned permanently. Go somewhere else, we don't want your lower kind here. Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Link to r/kpop's 'All About Flairs' Town Hall We included announcements for new flairs here on r/kpoppers and also on r/kpophelp. The following is the section relevant for this subreddit. NEW FLAIRS! Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. If you did singing-along to Golden or You Are My Sodapop in KPop Demon Hunters, you might have noticed something fun: the Korean verses slide right in, cleverly rhyming with the English lines as if they were always meant to be there. It’s part of what makes K-Pop songs so addictive—you don’t just listen, you feel the words bounce back and forth across languages. At first, you might think, “Oh, it’s just cool to mix Korean in.” And sure, that’s true—Korean adds style and flavor that make a song sparkle. But practically speaking, there’s another reason: some Korean words and expressions are simply untranslatable. They carry emotions, cultural humor, and sound effects (think onomatopoeia!) that English just can’t capture. Leave them out, and the song loses its heartbeat. That’s why K-Pop composers let Korean verses shine. They’re not just filler—they’re the secret sauce that makes you want to hit repeat. I dive deeper into this in my full article: The Language That Jumps: How Korean Onomatopoeia Makes K-Pop Feel Bigger, Brighter, and Closer Because sometimes, only Korean can say it right. https://preview.redd.it/j8k7dzwlb8pf1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa35affdae405a4a57d96c4ae085b3e1c63595db #Kpop #KpopSongs #KpopLyrics #KpopFans #KpopAddict #KoreanLanguage #KpopVerses #KpopTranslation #KoreanWords #KpopCulture #KpopRhymes #Golden #Sodapop #KpopDemonHunters submitted by /u/Nicklee0345 [link] [comments]
I was wondering if anyone attending NYC day 1 for TXT VIP1 on October 1st would be willing on top of their own stuff try to secure a signed album for me. I unfortunately missed the chance to get the VIP 1 tickets and really want a group signed if not majority signed TXT album as my ult group 😔. If able or willing please DM and conditions( if you have any) can be discussed as well as the logistics. submitted by /u/Intelligent_Tap2137 [link] [comments]
For context, I’m a fan of aespa, and this whole rant came to me while watching their Good Morning America performance. ※Not even gonna get into the performance itself—it was rough, and that’s all I’ll say. aespa blew up in 2024 and pulled in a huge wave of casual fans. 2025 should’ve been the year to keep those people engaged and grow them into core fans. This was the time for steady steps, not risky detours. So why suddenly chase the overseas market? At this rate, they might end up in no man’s land—failing to win new international fans while frustrating the Korean fans they already have. Overseas popularity isn’t something you can just “go grab.” It usually happens when domestic hype overflows and naturally spreads outwards. Trying to engineer it with strategy? That’s insanely difficult. And songs like Dirty Work or Rich Man—just making them “kinda international” with more English lyrics—doesn’t guarantee global success. Unless the quality is absolutely top-tier, it just risks coming off as a cheap knockoff. And honestly, I don’t think aespa has the kind of overwhelming charisma to bulldoze through that impression (which isn’t even their main strength as a group—I might make another post about that). If they’re serious about going global, the first step should be focusing on the people already into K-pop. That crowd isn’t asking for watered-down Western pop—they’re here for K-pop. So I’m left wondering: is SM genuinely trying to take aespa into the overseas market, or are they just testing the waters to see how people react? I’m still relatively new to K-pop, so if anyone more experienced can break this down, I’d love to hear your thoughts. submitted by /u/tokum_236 [link] [comments]

Today, during Han's birthday livestream, Han said that one of his nicknames was *bug*. Someone on camera advised him not to, he giggled, and wrote it anyways. That was it. But the way some people are blowing this out of proportion, oh my god... Tons of comments championing for him, saying that he can write anything he wants cause he's adult, how they can do whatever they want cause they make JYP all their money or yada yada yada... Guys... Calm. Down. It's literally common PR stuff. It's not even a K-Pop thing, it happens all the time in the western too. Adele is not allowed to use her own instagram. Taylor Swift always jokes how she doesn't do anything unless Tree Paine allows her to. Billie Eilish deletes stuff from her TikTok all the time... It's literally the most common and harmless PR thing ever to advise a celebrity on their image. It's just to keep them brand safe and keep those ambadorships coming, please. I get that some groups are mistreated by their labels, but there is not a sign of Stray Kids being the case. They renewed their contract with JYP. They teased JYP and their managers to no end. BangChan has asked several times to stop the hate towards the company... So why people keep behaving like there's some sort of battle to be fought? T_T Stop being an JYP anti, it literally only harms the kids. I don't know who needs to hear this, but when a company gets a bad rep, it harms EVERYONE on that company. Promotions become harder to book, sponsorships becomes more sparse, resources get limited... Please, I know that a lot of you care about the kids, but there's literally no fight to be fought here. Just listen to Bang Chan and stop with the hate. submitted by /u/FitCarpenter6802 [link] [comments]
