I recently made a list of the groups I like (I think I'm still missing a few) but I didn't realise how long it was... So I put it into sections. Anyone else like this? submitted by /u/DdeonghwaDib [link] [comments]
From what I'm getting from the general consensus, XOXZ did not meet expectations from both DIVEs and non-DIVEs. I agree with this. For the standard IVE set for themselves, this song feels like it falls short. However, I think this song gives me a lot of faith in the future of IVE. Rebel heart is my current song of the year and I don't see it being beat, it is an "either you get it or you don't" kind of song but still a masterpiece imo. IVE EMPATHY is also currently my album of the year. This is IVE's magnum opus. Finding out how to follow that was always going to be a hard task. What makes it even harder is Ryan Jhun, the man responsible for nearly all of IVE's biggest and best hits, stepping away from working with the group. As a DIVE, I think this was a good thing overall for the group as it was time for IVE to take on a new chapter in their career. Back to XOXZ, it definitely wasn't mine, and likely most peoples first choice for IVE to jump on a trap beat. However, I think it would have been much worse for the group's future for them to try and recreate and make another Ryan Jhun song. Even if that song would have been better, It would make me lose faith in the future of the group. Why would you want a group, and a still youngish group at that, to just attempt to recreate all their biggest songs from the time when they had a better producer? You are just solidifying the fact that you will never be as good as you once were by doing that. This is why I am happy XOXZ is what it is. The song also does have a lot of similarities to their old songs and Ryan Jhun's work, which is good as we are not leaving the old IVE behind, which we shouldn't. However, It is still distinctly different and not trying to hide that fact. Also, there was a growing concern among DIVES that due to the group's immense popularity with children, the group would start to only focus on making music entirely for kids. I think they found a great healthy balance with this song as it appeals to a wider audience as well! Let me know if coping haha but these are my honest thoughts. As of this moment I have: Jun, Jungwon, and Sunghoon, and I’m trying to decide between The8, Joshua, Jeonghan, Jay, Heeseung, and beomgyu, cause honestly all of Enhypen are so good looking, and I’ve recently become obsessed with Jeonghan and Joshua.😜👍 submitted by /u/Any_Compote_6624 [link] [comments]

been looking forward to this performance ever since it was announced and i was honestly expecting another dance-cover performance, like growl and lucifer but i was stunned seeing this new performance with their actual voices one day we were all trying to figure out what positions each trainee would be and now turns out they are all practical aces (those who did a bit of everything)😤 they can dance, rap and sing, their stage presence is just... Especially Songha, Habin, Justin... they blew me AWAY submitted by /u/DANUSKl [link] [comments]

Hi everyone, My wife and I recently fell headfirst into K-pop, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by how warm, passionate, and inclusive this community is. During a really tough time in our lives, K-pop brought us joy, comfort, and something to look forward to and we’re so grateful for that. Wanting to give back in a small way, I started designing a K-pop planner (photos below!) something fun, practical, and made for fans, by a fan. I wanted to create something that helps us stay organized while celebrating our biases, tracking comebacks, concerts, birthdays, and all the little things that make being a fan so special. Before I launch it, I’d love your honest feedback: - What would you want in a K-pop planner? - Any features, layouts, or pages you’d find useful? - Is this something you’d actually use? I’m not looking to make a quick buck, I just want to make something meaningful that adds value to our community. Your input would mean the world. 💜 (Photos attached, I would love to hear what you think!) Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. You’ve given us so much. I’d be honored if this planner could give a little back. — ✨ P.S. No pressure at all, I am just genuinely curious and grateful for this community. ✨ submitted by /u/MandatoryCozyVibe [link] [comments]

I’m not talking about MVs that feature stunning landscapes you can’t find in Korea or ones that were shot abroad for a specific vibe or atmosphere. What I’m referring to are the MVs with deeper meanings or personal story-lines, where you see a bunch of Korean kids in Western-style neighborhoods, basically playing dress-up in a life they didn’t live. It just strips away the authenticity of the song. Honestly, they should shoot these kinds of MVs in Korea in places and landscape they are more familiar with… submitted by /u/kurichan7892 [link] [comments]

I'm taking my daughter to see Enhypen this evening in Manchester has anyone been to see them yet and is it a good concert? submitted by /u/JustSelection416 [link] [comments]
I think they are a fun and energetic girl group don’t get me wrong! but they really don’t have a clear direction currently between the song touch and gnarly….i really enjoyed touch it was a catchy adorable track while gnarly is just pure cringe TikTok bait in my opinion. Idk I don’t see them lasting for long I think girl groups in the west are fun but KATSEYE is really not k pop and it makes me uncomfortable when people call it that but maybe I’m wrong? I need opinions! submitted by /u/Marshmallowgirlhood [link] [comments]
