Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. I am tired of seeing the same bass boosted tiktok focused songs. Like it is hard to explain but nowadays when you try listening to a new song you can just tell it was meant to go viral on tiktok. (This issue got worse after covid when idol groups shifted to english songs and many people seem to have lost the passion they had before.) Soft songs like this or the ones that IU used to make, now need to be digged for. (I would appreciate any similar recommendations you have) And when you complain about this all you get to hear is "Old sons still exist" likes yes girl but I want new ones too?
