Pretty much what the title says. It is so bizarre to me that JYP took this group of INCREDIBLY talented vocalists and decided to try to sell them on mix pop. I know they did this because of Aespa’s success with Next Level, but it’s so weird that they didn’t try to market them more towards a Red Velvet audience. Haewon and Lily’s Survivor cover went super viral for their vocals before their debut and they still went for this weird mix pop thing?? I know they do have a strong group of fans and are obviously doing great now; but i think this is just another example of JYP being so bad at marketing. i love Nmixx’s direction now and i do think their music is unique compared to most groups but its also PALATABLE. Their early stuff seemed like it was just for shock value and trying to one-up Aespa’s songs. Sorry for the rant but i needed to say something! I’m so glad Blue Valentine is doing so well. Hope they get a PAK!!! submitted by /u/meatstickgang [link] [comments]
I think I will always associate G-dragon with George Koizumi from Paradise Kiss. I also always see Silvermist from Tinkerbell whenever I look at Wonhee, I mean I've never seen someone with her exact hair! What character do you associate a kpop idol with? submitted by /u/0x1trinity [link] [comments]
Recently, at a breast cancer awareness event, invited guests included some of the most well-known figures in Korea and the K-pop world, such as members of popular boy and girl groups. However, both their expressions and performances were criticized for being disrespectful to the event, as they seemed to focus solely on personal promotion and comparison. submitted by /u/Plane_Sugar9499 [link] [comments]
There's currently lots of discourse going around this headline on social media for this accomplishment, specifically between Once's and Everlasting's. The posts that have been made captioned "Twice becomes the first girl group to reach a full ten years without a single member change" are being met with fearless Everlasting's calling them out for ignoring the fact that Brown Eyed Girls were in fact the first to do so. Once's are arguing that BEG were inactive for many years, so it doesn't really count. Despite the fact that many articles were published in 2016 discussing this Brown Eyed Girls accomplishment. What's your take on this whole fiasco? Honestly, I think we should give credit where credit is due. Yes, Beg were inactive, but that should not discount the fact that they were indeed the first. But also, this is a HUGE accomplishment for Twice, so there's no need to make it a matter of "firsts" because this is something to be very proud of no matter what. submitted by /u/0x1trinity [link] [comments]

i feel like the more albums they make, the worse they get. i hated ceremony, and their latest comebacks have felt less genuine and polished imo. I wish JYPE could give skz a break so they could work on making higher quality music and also resting… it feels like they have too much going on and they will burn out yk submitted by /u/Bean_of_prosperity [link] [comments]
these 20 albums are ranked in order on ryms website as the top k-pop albums of all time (user voted). what do you personally think is the greatest kpop album of all time? In my opinion, I'd probably agree and say max & match is 100% one of, if not the greatest of all time. if there were a kpop album hall of fame, max & match would definitely be there. submitted by /u/0x1trinity [link] [comments]

K-pop-ish. HYBE Latin America's new group Santos Bravos is having their debut concert right now! Just wanted to share if anyone is interested. If this isn't the place, let me know and I will take it down. submitted by /u/tay_ola [link] [comments]
Stan culture helps me better connect with K-Pop fans. I bonded with a couple people over it. We share fancams, gush over our idols together 🥰, trade pocas, go to concerts together, we help each other out with things like voting, streaming, fan projects, social media promotional events etc it was fun for me...the good parts of stanning submitted by /u/No-Vehicle1562 [link] [comments]
I recently got into BTS and really want to go to one of their concerts next year but I'm worried from reading on here and other platforms that it will be impossible to get tickets. What do we think tickets will cost next year and what's the best way to get pre-sale tickets? submitted by /u/No-Blueberry2558 [link] [comments]
