There is a recent news about an actress dating Jimin coz she shareed a tiktok vedio where Jimin can be seen walking out from an elevatorand talking to her.It seems that they are atleast accquintances..now such rumours are circulation for a while now...but there were no response from bighit or Jimin confirming or denying anything, then there is a very famous vedio circulating about v and jennie last year ig,also some jungkook and winter dating rumours were going around last month but again no statement from the agency. ...its not like idols are accountable to us...but I have noticed a pattern...BTS is basically 3rd gen kpop group..we can say that BTS members enjoyed 10+ years of fame and immense popularity.(and are still immensely popular)...Which is a lot compared to average kpop groups ...with many members now above 30s...BTS are veterans of the kpop industry....I think a bunch of BTS fandom have grown up , became rational and busy with their lives...also I think the BTS members themselves are not interested to play the dream boy and feed the childhood fantasies of naive teenager's anymore...I remember back in the days in award shows BTS and BLACKPINK were awkward to even look at each other and now see BTS members enjoying BP deadline concert..I am pretty sure that these is not something that BTS would do before 5/6 years....because many toxic fans would go crazy and attack BP members..also back in the days Bighit would immediately issue a statement right next day of a post or a video hinting and possible relationship of the members for example jk's alleged rumor with a tatoo artist ....what I am trying to say is I have noticed a significant change in their way the company handle these matters now and I feel like the BTS member themselves trying to change the teenage heartthrob image. BTS now seems to make music and enjoy their life with a stable fanbase...so as a fan we should respect it. submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

I know the easiest answer boils down to ‘my favourite is better than yours’ in whatever context out there (sales, streams, tour, CFs/ambassadorships, social media following, MV views, income, beauty/height, charting, awards, music show awards, whatever else one can think of) mentality. However, what I, until now, still cannot fully comprehend is how an artist from the same company is pitted against another artist of the very same company. While we have the whole NJ vs everyone else mentioned in their whole drama, we also have Stay vs Once drama that seem endless and intense (I am deep into the fandom space and while I block A LOT, this still leaks). I know fanwars exist everywhere and sometimes it is just a small part of the whole fandom. I also do know that the bigger the fandom is, the louder the toxicity is. While I am never in camp ‘I support all artist coming from the same company’ because I just am not, I also do not see why 2 completely different artist fandoms will fight over the stupidest things and spread lies everywhere that it even got so intense that it became a huge thing back in 2023 when SKZ was accused of fraud for their first number 1 charting on Billboard US 200 (which ironically other groups also manage to attain but no one is accusing them of fraud, not that I want anyone to be accused of fraud for goddamned no reason) that it trended number 1, freaking number one, on Twitter. For almost a day! That Billboard has to even make a formal announcement about it. So here is the list of things I can possibly think of why people like to fight over stupidies and silliest thing in kpop and please feel free to share: Feeling of superiority - we feel like our idols are superior in whatever ways then other idols - mind you, it is not our achievements, it is the idols’ but alas, we will use this as a weapon to look down on other groups. Our favs will always be number one. The rest is in the pits. Or nugu. Or carried by fandom. Or the distance is distancing (my recent favourite). Feeling of unfairness - we feel like only our idols should get all the benefits out there, the company should not give any benefits to other idols nor debut new groups because whatever the company is giving to other idols is taking away benefits to ours. One of the oft use sentence is - ‘A is using B’s money for promotion’. There is more - X gets more than Y when both gets different sort of promotion and lacks certain part compared to other companies but yeah, lets have a We-Have-Less Olympic. Oh and mistreatment. Lets not forget that our idols are always mistreated compared to others. Feeling of suspicions towards others - this is the best because according to toxic stans, our idols are the most ‘organic’ while others have ‘payola’ or ‘big 4 benefits’. So whatever success/achievements our idols get is purely because of the idols and whatever success/achievement others got are fake due to company buying their way through, farm stream, playlisting, bulkbuying, closing venue sections, mediaplay or whatnot. Oh lets not forget free-falling - another kpop favourite phrases. My favourite makes real music and we are here for it, not for the charts - funny, because when your favs are not charting, they use this reasoning, but when they are suddenly their favs are making the best album/song of the year. And if the others are not charting or doing as well, lets make posts after posts about how this and that group is fading away into nothingness. But when we post about charting and sales and tours, now we are accused of liking groups because of numbers. Now we cannot even celebrate achievements because we are not fans of their music, but the numbers! Do I get these right? Do you guys have more to share? Kpop is very interesting. I used to go from Soompi to OH to AKP forums to now Reddit and I find it interesting that 20 years have passed and not much has changed. submitted by /u/Many-Ad-9007 [link] [comments]
Just watched this video, Twice Hits Career-High on Billboard Hot 100 with "Strategy" and "Takedown". For a couple weeks now, there have been posts questioning Twice's music direction. Namely move into English songs and more mature songs away from earlier hits like "Cheer Up" and "TT". For me, I am all for free speech. You don't like the songs, okay. It is your prerogative. But I see it if Twice's members want this, it is their right. How many K-pop artists survive till 10 years? And being associated with Kpop Demon Hunters, extremely beneficial. Doing their first appearance in an American music festival, headlining Lollapalooza. Twice can only go up, up, up submitted by /u/Brief_Night_9239 [link] [comments]

not every song or group is for everyone and that's fine. you listen to a song, don't like, move on. simple, right? apparently not. what i don't get is the need to go out of your way to call it "dogshit", say so n so idols are "ugly" or that "they can't sing/dance/etc". like...why? i get that criticism is important n i respect that but outright hating on them js bcos "you don't vibe w them" is crazy. here me out: music taste is subjective. beauty is subjective. what u might like, somebody might not n vice versa 🤓 it's not that deep. you don't have to like everything but you also don't have to hate-comment everything either. js ignore them n listen to someone u do like. like why do u gotta announce it to everyone? pls touch some grass 🙏😭 submitted by /u/NearbyCloud2830 [link] [comments]

I’ve been army for almost ten years. Like only stanning BTS, but dabbling in other boy groups (skz, NCT 127, ATEEZ, en-, etc) After they went to the military, I started pulling back from kpop in general, but recently have starting fully stanning the groups named above. With that, I also started interacting more on the fan side of kpop. I’ve always seen how much other fans hate army and would just take it as jealousy over BTS doing “better” than other groups. While that is partially correct, I’ve come to realize that it is also Army😭. Originally, Army was a protector of BTS against baseless accusations and unnecessary hate. But now all I see is them doing the same thing to other groups and fandoms. I don’t understand why everyone can’t just focus on their own group?! And now we have BTS seeming to forget where they came from. Between Tae being a Coke ambassador to the McDonalds meal to now them saying they CREATED THE ENDING FAIRY?!?!?! It’s getting embarrassing out here as an Army fr. I’m not sure if I’ll fully unstan, because I’ve been with them for so long, but it’s definitely becoming harder to defend the boys and fans submitted by /u/CleanPossibility256 [link] [comments]
What I've noticed a lot of shippers genuinely believe their faves are gay and dating the other member and when their fave is exposed for dating somebody else they feel betrayed and start making up random theory how the rumor isn't true. They end up harassing the guy/girl calling them all sort of names for ruining their fantasy or ship. Then the rest of fandom who still indenial or still shock will adopt their mentality or theory, repel the guy/girl and run with their made up narrative and spread it. I recently encountered a twt post saying Jennie cosplayed the girl in the video in the Paris just to post it in her Instagram. From saying those ppl are cosplayers, suddenly Jennie herself is also cosplaying the cosplayer. The amount of engagements those type of theory getting up to this day is so alarming cause they genuinely believe that's what happened and still villainizing the other party for it. The same case with every other fandom with die-hard gay shippers.. Most shippers don't ship these kpop idols for fun anymore but actually believe they real submitted by /u/Wrong_Winner_6255 [link] [comments]
I can't lie, I was expecting HYBE to release a new global girl group after Katseye's success.Tho I definetly wasn't expecting old members like Emily and Samara to be admitted(don't get me wrong, they have talent).Overrall I think the whole thing is so fast, how they released the news for less than a month and they're already getting the members.I honestly thought it would have been a boy group, but what do you guys think? submitted by /u/Particular-Rain116 [link] [comments]
I will go first If we feel like it's awkward and inappropriate to stan an idol due to just the age thing they should not debut in first place. JUST THINK ABOUT IT if you disagree I can't help argue with wall submitted by /u/Flat-Mulberry-656 [link] [comments]

In other words, when the music reflects what’s happening in the lyrics. I’ll start. I really like when songs use “splash” and the music abruptly stops. It sounds exactly like you just jumped into a pool haha. Some examples off the top of my head: Nostalgia - Drippin @ 0:25 Jaws - BAE173 @ 0:18 submitted by /u/MonacleTopHatPenguin [link] [comments]
