I'm not sure if i'm the only one, but i don't get why everyone praises Twice's vocals a little but much sometimes as a whole group because there are like 3 good vocalists there. Jihyo, undeniably is the best vocalist of the group. Stable and one of the best 3rd gen female vocalists of K-pop. C tier. Jeongyeon is the second best vocalist, i don't like her voice but she's really good at singing. D+ tier. Nayeon sometimes strains but still, as a lead vocalist she succeeds to be in the top 3. Love her voice, D tier. Mina, she isn't the best, but she's okay. Her voice is a little bit different from the other members. E tier. Tzuyu, she's really weak. We're at the 5th place and already a weak vocalist holds the place. I think she can actually improve but for now she is just there. E- tier. Chaeyoung. E tier, mainly a rapper. I actually like her voice, it's sad that she didn't decide to be a more of a vocalist because i think i would like to hear her singing most of the lines. Sana. Her live vocals are hurting my brain, i don't know if it's because of nasally singing, but it's just straining my ears. F+ Dahyun. She's a rapper too, like Chaeyoung. But i think she should focus on dancing and should've focused on vocals more because i think Twice needs only one vocalist. Really underdeveloped, F tier Momo, as the last one. She's really horrible as a vocalist but she's a very good dancer ! So i think even though she's the worst vocalist of the group she makes it up by being an amazing dancer. Underdeveloped. These are just my thoughts and i think it's an unpopular opinion because i don't think that they're as good as people make them out to be. What do you think? submitted by /u/tbaeist [link] [comments]

I made a Roblox/Blender animation of KATSEYE’s recent GAP ad. My video got a lot of attention, and alot of people commented about how I got Manon's skin color wrong on her character. I didn't want to, it was not intentional. I wasn’t trying to “whitewash” her, and I respect her identity and how she looks. I used a very white light box in Blender to light all the characters. That simple white emission makes everything inside the box very bright, so darker skin tones can look washed out. I didn’t notice how much it affected Manon’s skin color. also, roblox has a limited range of skin tones and they don’t perfectly replicate human skin tones. the skin can look too flat, or get washed out, especially under bright white lighting like I used. do y'all think i got her skin color wrong and my arguements are valid? submitted by /u/Witty_Hornet_1657 [link] [comments]

Genuinely curious if there are 5th gen BGs where the main vocals have great vocal chemistry? Trying to go back to kpop and I’m curious if there are vocally strong groups. When I say vocal chemistry, I mean ones like Baekhyun and DO where there’s really no comparison. Their tones just very much complement each other. Active only please, since I really wish to support these groups. submitted by /u/PandaXPandaXPanda [link] [comments]

Ok so I know my example isn’t Kpop but Katseye, but it’s literally the same thing I’ve seen over and over with Kpop idols too. Fans have this thing where they forget idols actually have lives outside of what we see, and then they just… start making stuff up to fill the gaps. The one that got me so bad it triggered me to post this (lol) was a video of Katseye arriving in Korea in their tracksuits. Lara walks by the camera looking, in my opinion, completely chill and normal. But of course, some people just had to say something about her “offstandish attitude” (which is ridiculous btw). Then I saw this comment saying: “for the people in the comments wondering why Lara looks mad, it’s because she was still worried about Manon fainting after they pranked her on live yesterday.” Like??? Hello??? How are you pulling a full emotional diagnosis out of a THREE second clip of her literally just walking?? She looked fine. Normal. Y’all acting like you can read her entire brain through a .5 second eye twitch. This is the thing though—people take these little crumbs and spin them into full-on soap operas. Two idols don’t sit next to each other one time and suddenly they’ve got “tension.” Someone doesn’t smile as wide and suddenly there’s “trouble in the group.” It’s not that deep. You’re not uncovering some hidden truth, you’re just projecting whatever story you want onto them. These idols have lives outside of the 1 hour live a week that may make you think you know them better than you really do. And yeah maybe it’s mostly younger fans doing it, but let’s be real: there are grown adults out here playing pretend detective too. At some point you’ve gotta accept that idols don’t exist for you to analyze like fictional characters. They’re actual people living actual lives, and shocker — we don’t get to know every single detail of it. Sometimes a tired face is just a tired face. (also I know my post may sound like a generalization, so yes I know this is a very small minority of Kpop fans (and fans in general) that do this, if this doesn't apply to you, you shouldn't feel offended) submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]
