338. Fellow ARMY, we need to hold members accountable for stuff!

So jungkook was wearing merch for a webtoon that promotes sexual assault, murder, and abuse of children, women, and the elderly? And I’ve just learned of this- the only reason I learned was because a post from an infamous snark Reddit came up on my feed. I usually don’t participate in snake reddits especially since they are usually mean rude and wish nothing but ill will upon those who they are made about but this is a genuinely serious and disgusting? I’ve loved BTS before butter and dynamite, but this is just… so upsetting. Words cannot describe how upset disgusted and disappointed I feel. submitted by /u/yudiggininurbuhtwin [link] [comments]

339. Losing interest in groups bc of the military

  • reddit.com language

I feel bad about this and I really don't know if anyone else goes through it but so far it's happened twice to me. It first started with bts I became a fan at the end of 2018 and they introduced me to kpop all together and aside from them I got to discover so many good kpop songs even though I didn't stan those other idols. Becoming a fan around that time makes it seem like I would have so much time before they would enlist but it still felt short. So before they went to the military I was really into them I even became a victim of the the canceled concert from COVID and I think maybe that's when things started going downhill. Around the time on social media it was kind of hell as a bts fan just constant fanwars to the point where I moved from my bts account to an anime account and focused on that more. Doing that made me seem to lose interest in bts I don't want to blame the fans because everyone always says your a fake fan if you let fans ruin a group for you but it really was the case at the time. I didn't completely unstan but I didn't keep up with everything all the time like I used to. Then came the talk about enlistment the word every army would avoid saying. I heard around the time yoongi got a lot of hate but I think that's around the time I was barely on my bts account so I really didn't see the extent of it but I know it was bad. They eventually started going one by one and then in pairs and that's when my interest started dwindling more. My main problem is I prefer full group content over everything sometimes if a member is missing I can't watch it or will take a long time to watch it. This was a problem for me when yoongi went on hiatus for his shoulder. I could barely watch the content without him. So what happened when everyone started enlisting? Basically the same thing. I feel bad because they released so much content especially their own solo work from fans but I literally didn't and still haven't listened to some of their full solo albums because of my preference for group stuff. This does not mean I've never heard any of their solo songs I just never did full listens of the albums at once. Like for yoongi I heard plenty of songs from his solo album for his tour and even had them in my playlist but there is also like 2 or 3 I haven't heard. I watched the MVs I even watched his last concert before enlisting. Same for the other members who released music before going. Except with jimin and jungkook I listened to their full albums because I was trying to get back into bts more. I didn't keep up with stage performances and all that though. I couldn't even watch a full episode of run jin when he came back. My point is it felt like I was losing interest since it wasn't the whole group and now I feel like I'm getting like that with seventeen as they start enlisting except it might be worse because they aren't all going so close together. I got into them in 2023 so it definitely feels like I had barely any time but again it was little things that made me avoid watching content like when watching some content from a few years ago when jun and minghao were missing such as going svt I struggled to finish some episodes that didn't have them. Now with jeonghan and wonwoo gone it's just repeating like it did for bts. When scoups went on hiatus it was also the same for me and I just feel bad about it because it feels like a ridiculous reason to lose interest in a group especially after being so into them. For bts I never stopped being into them I guess the solo work kinda did it's job with that. So I'm currently trying to get back into them before they release their group music next year. Also for more about me liking full group content. A month before wonho left monsta x I was getting into them. Learned their names and was watching content and then that whole thing happened and he left the group. I unfortunately lost interest since this was a member completely leaving not something temporary and that was it for me with them. I'm also trying not to get into any other kpop boy groups because of this since mandatory enlistment is unavoidable for most. submitted by /u/chia4002 [link] [comments]

342. Anyone interested in starting a small K-pop creators pod?

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi hi 💕 So I’ve been thinking… being a K-pop content creator is fun, but lately it feels like IG really buries our posts no matter how much effort we put in 😭 I was wondering if anyone would like to try a little kpop engagement pod together? It's a thing that used to be popular during the pandemic but I don't see it anymore. Nothing too serious, just a small group of K-pop creators where: • When someone posts, they drop the link. • The rest of us engage (like, leave a real comment, save/share). • In return, you do the same for others. Kinda like a support circle ✨ It helps with reach + also be a fun way to connect with other K-pop creators. If you’re interested, just comment or DM me with your username + what type of content you make (covers, edits, news, etc). Once a few of us are in, we can try it out 🚀 Would anyone be down to give this a shot with me? 💙 submitted by /u/Professional_Pay5563 [link] [comments]

Day 48 Results: IZ*ONE wins by 21 votes! We are officially done with the Round of 32 and now entering the Round of 16. Brackets have been updated. These are the groups left. Vote for your favorite and as always poll closes in 24 hours! If you're unsure of who to vote for, here's a couple songs to help your decision: CLC - No CLC - Like CLC - Pepe Wonder Girls - Like This Wonder Girls -Stop! Wonder Girls - Why So Lonely First Half Second Half Disclaimer: This tournament is not a “comparison”. The seeds were randomized and I didn’t pick the matchups. The songs picked are amongst their most popular because they’re easy to recognize. If you have another song suggestion you may leave it in the comments but please refrain from complaining about the song not being included. I also try to switch up the listed songs every new round, so the songs you might not know from a group might not be listed as they were listed the previous round. Either way, feel free to recommend them in the comments if you’d like. View Poll submitted by /u/PushOffTheGround [link] [comments]

346. A member of my ult group started thirst-trapping and it kinda turned me off of the group

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I won't say who and I'm truly not hating because I still love their music and will continue to listen and buy their albums. This is just more of me being a little disappointed and burned out on the group's performances and content. I haven't really talked about this before within the fandom either because I know I would totally get crucified and be told I'm not a real fan. My favorite member has really fallen into the thirst-trapping in both content and performances and it throws off the dynamic (at least for me). Everyone else in the group has a similar mood with their expressions when performing; even though they're not all uniform, they fit the song perfectly. But there's one that has been going with the lip biting, sexy gesture thing for a couple comebacks now and it just feels so awkward to watch. I know it's a normal progression as they advance in their career and feel more confident and I'm not faulting them for that, just quietly taking a step back. submitted by /u/trivialfrost [link] [comments]

348. Any chance Cha Eun Woo & Jaehyun will be in the ROK Army Band together?

  • 3 days ago schedule

It’d be amazing if so but I’m clueless about this type of enlistment stuff so maybe I’m totally off base with this idea or if that would even be possible. With Woodz having recently been discharged I thought maybe Cha Eun Woo would fill that hole. Anybody know? submitted by /u/Mobile-Plant-1744 [link] [comments]

349. Adding to the topic about holding idols accountable.

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Now, we’ve been seeing a lot of posts pop up about K-pop fans and their hypocrisy in calling out idols, in that it’s mostly because they want to drag them and that these call outs aren’t really genuine. Which, i admit, is mostly true. The narrative or opinion that idols don’t have to be a political voice is something I also somewhat agree with. But, let’s talk about the other side of this fan hypocrisy. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that whoever is making posts talking about how idols don’t need to be responsible for speaking up is usually a fan of an idol who’s currently under scrutiny for said action. Mind you, they were nowhere to be found or probably were even a part of the group that was calling for accountability from another idol. But, when it’s come to their fave, it’s suddenly “they don’t need to speak up”. If your favorite idol doesn’t need to be an activist, then keep same energy for every single idol and don’t let your stance be due to the fact that it’s your fave that’s being dragged. Wherever you stand with this whole fiasco, it’s your right, but let it be YOUR opinion and your stance. Not something that was influenced by your favourite K-pop star. That’s all. submitted by /u/Reel-Trouble34 [link] [comments]

Let's ignore the first part of this for a second. Because apparently people will still call them zionists regardless of anything else. BUT please explain to me what people with work visas are supposed to do against ice raids. The comments are full of people saying that they should protest. What? No one is even asking American k idols to protest. Why are you asking people with work visas to protest? submitted by /u/Separate_Guava_6272 [link] [comments]

As the title says, for the blinks on this sub; Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, who is your bias of OT4, why did they become your bias and when was it they became your bias? My bias is Rosé and bias wrecker is Jennie. Rosé became my bias when i saw her in that green sweater in BOOMBYAH and loved her high note in WHISTLE, Jennie became my bias wrecker when she got a solo rap in DDU. submitted by /u/jdpm1991 [link] [comments]
