I don't speak Korean, but I like reading lyric translations and finding out that a song I like has a thoughtful message, uses interesting imagery, or is even just funny or clever. I know about BTS, but what are some other groups or soloists whose songs usually have lyrics that are worth reading? submitted by /u/pussycontrolgonemad [link] [comments]
Hi everyone! Idk if this is the appropriate sub to ask this but here’s the thing. I’ve very slowly been getting into seventeen through primarily their content, I haven’t exactly dove into their music fully yet. I really love their group dynamics and the members are all so charismatic in their own way. I found out that some are about to go to military service soon so I’m assuming the announced concerts are before they enlist. As a fairly new fan (or barely a fan since I haven’t listened to much of their music) I was highly thinking of attending one of their shows if anything just for the vibes. I live in northern California and although they have shows in LA the most convenient show for me to go to would be in Tacoma, WA since it’s on a Saturday😅 Do you guys feel like it would be worth it for me to go as someone who’s just trying to feel them out? Since members are enlisting soon I feel like this would be my only shot to see them all together in a while. I appreciate anyone’s thoughts on this or even recommendations on their discography! 😊 submitted by /u/Fancy_Breads [link] [comments]
Ten has won the dancer category! Now we are moving onto rappers Rules: Please don’t comment the same idol more than once and upvote instead Kpop only, no kpop adjacent groups like katseye and vcha (wayv is allowed but only 3 members max to make it fair) Only idols that are from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and a southeast Asian country. Chinese/sea diaspora counts too Choose an idol that fits the category best, doesn’t need to be an official position (aside from maknae) Both female and male idols allowed and no repeats of the same idol You have 24 hours to vote! Have fun submitted by /u/staycgurlss [link] [comments]

Probably when I listen to ateez in 2019 and took a break came back in 2022 and started being a San stan but soon I started looking at yunho more I don't know why I couldn't stop thinking about him, soon I fell in a rabbit hole and now his my ultimate bias LOL submitted by /u/hearts4him_ [link] [comments]
Like any music genre in the past century, K-pop will hit a wall and become less popular over time. Most of the big groups will still come from big companies. And I think those companies will keep trying to squeeze as much money as they can from Western markets, since there’s not much room left for growth in Korea. What I’m curious about is what these companies will do in Korea. They're their biggest money-maker, but the core K-pop demographic is dropping off a cliff there. Maybe we’ll start seeing some groups trying to cater to older fans in the next decade? It would be fun. submitted by /u/Striking-Meal-5257 [link] [comments]
The “King of K-Pop” is pretty unanimously agreed to be G-Dragon, but who would you say comes in second? Which male soloist has so much artistry, influence, and well-roundedness that you’d call him the Prince of K-Pop? I don’t think there’s any right/wrong answer to this, I just wanted to see everyone’s picks! My personal shout would probably be Taemin, he’s the Idol of Idols and no one can deny his talent and artistry. submitted by /u/Nephroku [link] [comments]

Honestly I saw people hating one spark and set me free by twice and I was shocked like idk if it's just that I'm biased but they are the one of the only kpop GG that I think I enjoy all the title track and also itzy sneakers, it was actually the song that got me into itzy submitted by /u/hearts4him_ [link] [comments]
