I'm in quite a discrete area, but I travel to places such as Southampton, Brighton, Worthing and Portsmouth :) Here is some info about me: Name: Amy Age: 24 Groups I stan: ATEEZ, Stray Kids, ACE, Dreamcatcher, CIX, Kai, Baekhyun, Taemin, TXT. I am also beginning to start listening more to Seventeen. Thanks for reading and I hope to meet some new people! submitted by /u/Opposite-Bad1727 [link] [comments]

1.421. Jungkook Deserves Better — Why the Hate After Military?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some thoughts about Jungkook since his return from military service. It feels like he’s been facing a lot of unfair criticism lately, and I think it’s important we talk about it calmly and respectfully. Here are some things I’ve noticed that seem really unnecessary: Jungkook wore a cap that said “Make Tokyo Great Again.” From what I can tell, it was just a fashion choice. Yet some people reacted very negatively, accusing him of political intentions without any real context or explanation. It feels like people are reaching too hard to find faults where there aren’t any. During Jin’s recent FESTA performance, Jungkook was sitting quietly, supporting Jin in a low-key way. Instead of appreciating his presence and respect, some people accused him of trying too hard to get attention or wanting to be “picked” by Jin. This seems really unfair because just being there quietly should not be seen as attention-seeking behavior. Jungkook has always been humble and reserved, and it feels like people are twisting his natural personality into something negative. Another serious issue is that a while ago, someone broke into Jungkook’s home while he was serving in the military. Sorry if this is a bit late to bring up, but I think it’s important to remember that respect and support shouldn’t have an expiration date, especially when it comes to someone’s privacy and safety. It’s really upsetting that this incident hasn’t been talked about much or received the attention it deserves. No one should have to go through that, especially not someone who has sacrificed so much. What’s even more disappointing is that some fans within the ARMY community are turning on Jungkook and other BTS members. This kind of negativity and division goes completely against the message BTS has promoted for years — about love, respect, and supporting each other no matter what. Jungkook put his career on hold at the height of his success to fulfill his duty, returned quietly and respectfully, and has continued to support his group and fans without seeking the spotlight. Despite all this, the criticism and hate keep coming, often from people who once claimed to be his fans. I’m genuinely curious if others have noticed this wave of negativity too and what we can do to encourage more positive support for Jungkook and BTS as a whole. They deserve to be celebrated, not torn down. TL;DR: Jungkook has been unfairly criticized after his military service over harmless things like a fashion choice and quietly supporting Jin. He also experienced a serious invasion of privacy while serving. It’s disappointing to see some fans turning against him. Let’s support him instead. submitted by /u/Ok_Excuse323 [link] [comments]

1.423. Is it just me or is it weird when fans wait for certain idols to turn 18?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I don’t know, but I’ve always found it uncomfortable when some fans treat an idol turning 18 like some kind of milestone just so they can start sexualizing them. Like yeah, they’re legally adults now, but the fact that some people are literally counting down the days feels so off. It’s not about age — it’s about the intention behind it. I’m not saying people can’t admire idols, but when turning 18 is used as a reason to suddenly say or post certain things, it just makes me feel uneasy. Anyone else feel this way? submitted by /u/Legal_Potential4720 [link] [comments]

1.424. NewJeans had a music video for every song they ever released (as part of an album)

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I was just thinking about how newjeans had some kind of music video for every song theyve ever released as part of an album. All their b-sides also got a music video and stage performance of some sort and were performed on a music show at some point or another. I know their discography is pretty small but I personally have never seen any other group follow this kind of strategy so was wondering if someone else has also done something similar. Apart from obviously having a big budget and a small number of songs on each album that would allow them to do so, I actually think it's a pretty good idea. A lot of times b-sides go unnoticed by non fans but having a music video will always reach at least some people beyond the core fandom. In any other group songs like ASAP and Hurt wouldnt have got a music video but giving them one I think helps cause it leaves the viewer with some kind of visual cue to associate with the song (at least thats how it's been for me). I also think it's the reason why their b-sides have pretty high streams as well. Do you think other groups (who have the money/resources) should try and make more mvs or promote more songs during music shows to bring more attention to the whole album as opposed to just the lead single? submitted by /u/PrimaryTomato3310 [link] [comments]

1.425. Will JYP debut a girl group for 5th gen?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Someone brought up a point in how SM, HYBE, YG, and even STARSHIP have debuted their girl groups for the new generation. All of the big 4 have debuted new girl groups…except JYP. Normally there’d at least be trainee showcases for the trainees and there’d be rumors swirling around but I’ve heard literally nothing about JYP trainees or a new girl group. Now I do lurk when it comes to JYPNGG and about a year ago pictures of 4 girls circulated for JYPNGG but I have reason to think that that team has been scrapped since there’s been no updates since. So….that leads to my question. Will JYP even debut a 5th gen girl group and if they do I personally would hope it’d be a group similar to TWICE. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if the company skipped this gen. submitted by /u/lamningwon [link] [comments]

1.426. What is going on with K-pop styling? Another idol sagging and wearing a shiesty

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The first two pictures are of Kang Yuchan from A.C.E for his upcoming solo debut — his single will drop on 25th. I honestly don’t understand what’s happening in K-pop lately. Why is a Korean man sagging his pants and wearing a shiesty? What’s even crazier is in the third picture: from20, the CEO of Way Better (the company Kang Yuchan is currently signed with for his solo activities) wore a durag a few months ago, apologized for it, and even filmed a whole video about learning cultural appropriation… just for his company to turn around and do this now? Why do companies keep going in circles like this when it comes to Black culture in K-pop? submitted by /u/Nervous-Bat-8227 [link] [comments]

1.429. New 5th Gen Boy Group Achieving Great Milestones for a Debut group

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I just wanna share this newly debuted group: AHOF (All-time Hall Of Famer) from F&F Entertainment They have just debuted this July 1, 2025 and are gaining massive achievements. Here's a list of some of their achievements: Their debut album: Who We Are has charted in 22 countries on iTunes, reaching #1 in six – Bahrain, Ireland, the Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, and the UAE Their title track: Rendezvous accumulated over 3,684,000 views and 86,000 likes on YouTube within 24 hours of its release. Total sales in just 2 days: 259,305 (Day 1 = 71,276) and more to list... And to think that they are a nugu\* group in a nugu\* company (F&F Ent.) and was formed from a nugu\* survival show (SBS Universe League); and also prepared almost 6 months to debut, wherein many fans could've left for little to no content at all. If you want to know more why they received such an achievement, you might wanna check out their MV, which is a chef's kiss of a song = feels like a 2nd-3rd gen song, also great thanks to its producer El Capitxn. And check out their fan's community in X to find out how insanely dedicated they are. submitted by /u/taeyanggg [link] [comments]

1.431. Does anyone else feel uncomfortable when idol deaths are used for rage bait or comparisons?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been seeing comments online saying things like “____ is the next Sulli” or “____ will end up like Moonbin,” and honestly, it makes me feel really uneasy. It’s so disrespectful to use someone’s death like that, especially just to push hate or stir drama. You can dislike an idol without making those kinds of comments. These are real people, not just names on a screen. Using tragic deaths as a way to insult others or get attention online is such a low move. I really wish people would just leave their names alone and let them rest in peace. submitted by /u/Legal_Potential4720 [link] [comments]

1.436. Can someone explain how Thailand Spotify works? Across multiple acts, it's very erratic, numbers shoot up and down on random days.

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is just the most recent example, but they're not the only act to have erratic streaming patterns in Thailand. Zero other countries have this number of massive discrepancies in day-to-day numbers. People say some acts just have big Thai fanbases, but did 85% of their fanbase just spontaneously choose not to stream on a random day? If anyone has more insight into this, it would be welcome. submitted by /u/Recent-Pension1179 [link] [comments]
