I used to be their fan back in 2021-2022 but after the maxident era I started growing out of my “stay” phase.I still look up to them as people who put a lot of hard work into their work and I do think they have good performing/singing skills but I just don’t enjoy their music anymore. I hadn’t really been into kpop eversince but looking at them now, thy’ve really become huge in these 3 yrs..but i’m curious what everyone else thinks about them? Do you think their songs used to better too? submitted by /u/setahm [link] [comments]

This isn't directed at anything specific right now, but with the absolutely OUTRAGEOUS ticket prices lately, it's just something that's been eating at me. Why are so many K-pop fans okay with idols lipsynching through entire concerts, looking bored on stage, and marking the choreography instead of actually dancing? This has never been something fans should just accept, but especially now, when companies are getting more and more bold with pricing and charging over a hundred euros at minimum, you should be allowed to complain when the performance ends up being mediocre. But every time someone says, “Hey uhm, my idols just lipsynched their way through the entire concert and that kind of upsets me,” the replies are always stuff like, “Oh I don’t really care about that,” or “They’re saving their vocals.” Saving them for what? A concert is exactly where an idol should be showing off their vocals. I get that idols already have it rough and they’re allowed to be tired sometimes. Having an off day is one thing. But this is more about idols who’ve been so coddled by fans that they don’t even try anymore. They dance half-heartedly, look bored the whole time, lipsynch everything with zero shame, and repeat it all the next day. And if you point it out, suddenly you’re a hater instead of a fan who’s just rightfully upset. submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]

I'm not a huge fan, but it does seem a bit strange to me that a company like Rigend Film, known for producing high-quality music videos, would start using AI. Of course, I still acknowledge that their use of VFX and directing is outstanding. However, AI is fundamentally built on unauthorized training from millions of videos, often in serious violation of copyright. I don't think it's right to include AI-generated content lacking any real human effort into K-pop music videos. No matter how impressive the result is, it can come across as lacking basic integrity. What do you think? Do you believe we should strongly criticize K-pop music video producers for using AI, or do you have a different perspective? submitted by /u/Nervous_Emu_2233 [link] [comments]

For those not in the know, fromis_9 recently made a comeback as a five membered group after leaving HYBE. Yesterday, they won on Music Bank and got their first win as five. Lesserafim and ILLIT all congratulated them onstage and Yunjin even hugged Chaeyoung. Around this morning, she left a message on her Weverse DMs that went: “I was truly, truly so happy that the fromis_9 unnies won 1st place, and I wanted to congratulate them in every way I could lol. I hope all girls do well. That they won’t lose their smiles and that they’ll continue to be able to cry like that too.” I don't think I've seen such a touching message in kpop from one idol to another group. I also never knew she had such a way with words. I'm sure if fromis read her messages, they'd be crying too. This new beginning is such a risk and I'm glad they took it together. And now they have their second most successful comeback to date. Yunjin also knows the struggles of being under Pledis so I'm pretty sure she can relate to them. submitted by /u/yebinkek [link] [comments]

So I just want to remake the one I created earlier since many of you didn't like it, especially being AI generated. So here it is. You should stan them for many reasons(my opinion): Their uniqueness in each of them. I like how their group contains multinational idols. They have an idol who are from South-East Asia (JL is from The Philippines), East Asia(Chih En is from Taiwan; Daisuke from Japan; Jeongwoo, Woongki, Han, and Juwon are from South Korea), and an idol from Australia (Steven, he is South Korean-Australian) Despite how diverse they are, they still able to make a family bond in their member. Ahof make me think that language barrier is not the reason for us to form friendship and ally. All of them have their own strengths and individuality too that make us like them more. It makes them more seen from the fans/casuals and not being left out despite how some of them are already popular, they still feel that they are valued. They really showcase their selves in every digital exposure, like in vlogs, performance, tv show variety, interview, etc. They have the presence Why I said that they have the presence? So I'll tell you each of their persona they have(I might be a bit bias since JL is my Fave, we have same nationality): JL- is the kind of person who is humble and courageous. He is a neutral person. Even tho he is already an idol, I can still see in him how he really grateful he is for the opportunity he has. The way how he always seen the confetti as his achievement from his eyes. He is the person too that treat his member with care and sincere. Shuaibo- he is quite the humorous one among the members, sometimes he goes quite. Probably because of his personality of being observant like the way he said in the interview. He said that his contribution to the group is helping their members maintain their image. I like how he lights the room of happiness in his own way. Maybe he is struggling to adapt the environment but he still try to make them comfortable. Han- you should stan him because he is a good singer. He is a funny and a competitive person (in a good way). He lay low sometimes when every time he wants his member to be happy. He complement his voice too well with them especially JL. Steven- he's a good leader. His MBTI personality type is INFP. He knows his member well. Every time he felt that his member seem to felt left out, he initiate to talk with them and include them. He has a humorous side too when it comes to JL. Daisuke- he is the maknae. His MBTI personality type is ENFP. The most innocent member and disobedient member(Based from the Pink Cabinet interview with steven and Woongki). He is the goofiest among them and always smile. Jeongwoo- I like how his way of competitiveness. His MBTI personality type is ISTJ. He knows himself too well with confidence in a good way. His smile does make you melt every time you see it. However, he looks professional when he talks in a serious situation. Juwon- is the baby tiger in the group. His MBTI personality type is ISFP. He's always the one the group teases, it's their way of showing love. The korean teacher of JL during their Survival Show. Woongki- he is the most extroverted member in the group. His MBTI personality type is ENFP. He knows how to read room and make first move in making conversation. Like how he dominate with Steven the intercation with Minju(From Illit) in a variety Show called Pink Cabinet. His hobbies include studying idol history, producing virtual idols, and imagining. He is already popular among the Koreans since Woong Gi was previously a child actor. He went by the stage name Cha Jae Dol. He has appeared in several dramas, movies, musicals and commercial films. Chih en- the timid and nonchalant member of the group. He is like a bunny. But time goes by, he little by little show his goofy side with them. His mannerism is kinda look like from Tzuyu, he tends to get shy. Maybe because he is also a Taiwanese. I hope you will all stun them and love them. <3 submitted by /u/Hot-Hurry7745 [link] [comments]
