I’ve started a personal project I’m working on, and I need well-known idols who are adored by the public. I have a few in mind, but since I’m a fan of older generations, I’m not up to date with the newer ones and I don’t know who is currently the most appreciated by young people. So if you could help me, I’d be grateful. Thank uuuu 🫶🏼 submitted by /u/Similar_Version_4717 [link] [comments]
• split dyed hair and a few colored strands also count! • Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5 • male idols only • to make it more fun for everyone: 3 members max from the same group • time to comment/vote: 24 hours submitted by /u/hyun_chuu [link] [comments]

So in a recent interview, Taehyun mentioned that TXT trained in hip‑hop because BigHit was originally based on Black music. Pretty neutral statement, right? He’s basically just explaining that BigHit’s early foundation was in genres inspired by Black artists, so they trained accordingly. Now people are somehow dragging him for it (?). Or calling it “the bare minimum,” when fans are praising him. Or twisting it into something negative. Honestly, if another idol from a different company had said this, I feel like they’d be praised to the moon for acknowledging the roots of hip‑hop and respecting Black culture. It really feels like this is less about what he said and more about the fact that he’s from HYBE. Ever since HYBE became the big company to hate, anything their artists say seems to get nitpicked to death. This is just… such a weird thing to be mad about when all he did was acknowledge the origin of the music they trained in. Like this hatred towards HYBE is frying your brains, I'm being so serious right now. What do you guys think? Is this really something to be upset about, or is it just HYBE hate culture doing its thing again? submitted by /u/thebarted [link] [comments]

Im curious to what yall think the biggest flaws of the Big 3 companies are. Like for example, SM entertainment and how they tend to treat their foreign idols (sorry if this doesn’t make sense 😭) submitted by /u/Plastic_Fishing_1686 [link] [comments]
KPOP peaked at 2nd gen imo. Idols had the freedom (most of the time) to say whatever they want, were less conscious on how they act in front of the camera, and won't get unnecessary criticisms after. Male and female groups frequently did collabs, be it on stage or in variety shows. IDOLS APPEARING IN VARIETY SHOWS! Organic friendships from different groups were formed through constant show appearances. Stage performances felt more raw. There's this inexplicable connection an audience would feel whenever the groups perform. 2nd gen truly had its own charisma. Guess this is just me reminiscing after watching recent contents from 2nd gen idols. submitted by /u/pauserewindplay [link] [comments]

I'll need the song title and the artists name because it doesn't have to be a girl group it can also be a female soloist. For the sake of actually trying to help you find something new I'll steer clear from same company artists. submitted by /u/I_OnlyWantedToBloom [link] [comments]

Sunmi has some really good songs, but I love this one so much. I loved it when it came out, and I still love it so much. Am I the only one who loves this song so much? The song, the aesthetic, the video, the clothes 💖 submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]
(this is Bae and Sullyoon from NMIXX) To regularly get live performances this strong from two members who aren't even considered main vocals is bonkers tbh. Sullyoon's improvement since debut is very noticeable too, like she was always good but she's now at a level where she can genuinely handle main vocal-type parts live, and not just handle them but easily pass as a main vocal while doing so. NMIXX have a full album that's supposed to be coming in October, and I really hope to see all the members uniqueness and talents showcased well with the extra room a full album will give! Maybe solo songs, or unit songs too and hopefully members involved in composing and/or lyrics (I think this will happen soon, especially since Haewon was just recently announced as featuring + having composing and lyric credits on an upcoming song by pH-1) submitted by /u/Fe3O4Forward [link] [comments]
