╭────────────────╮ Hey everyone, it’s that time of the quarter when I will look back on it and find out what took over. The 3rd quarter was pretty good as I got to go on my second vacation, taking a break from work. I also had the opportunity to hear some excellent music that helped brighten up the quarter. I can’t believe we have three more months left in 2025, and the year will be over. Now, let’s jump into the quarter and see what took over. ╰────────────────╯ https://preview.redd.it/t2ldsk843yrf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb35746f90942a1f668c9ce55012da0609d60e8a Honorable Mentions Songs: 도망 - Hanroro Fire (My Sweet Misery) - Xdinary Heroes When Love Passed - Seventeen Be Alright - IVE Dancing Alone/Strawberry Cheesegame - KiiiKiiiI’, 시작의 아이 ❍ - Park Da Hye & Maktub Topping - ILLIT BAKA (feat. Chanmina) - pH-1 Goodbye, My Summer - Hanaroro ━━━━━━━━━★ Song: La Vie En Bleu - Joy Joy takes over the quarter with my favorite Korean song, which makes me feel like I'm in Paris. The guitar crafts this smooth melody that fits perfectly with the singer's voice. The snapping we got in the tune added. The hook has been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it, and I still can’t get it out of my head. I’m glad Joy got to return with more solo music cause she has some excellent tunes. I’m still surprised that Joy spoke French in a few moments of the track. https://preview.redd.it/5l3f5n5h3yrf1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81bdad17796ab2e6fb1f066689304d6b7df352c6 ━━━━━━━━━★ Honorable Mentions Albums: PERCENT - ONEW The 1st full album [BLISS] - D.O. MOLLAK - Jvcki Wai & Vangdale The 1st Album 'A Montage of ( )' - VIVIZ GTA 7 : side b - GIST & Trade L Enemy - Twice In Bloom - Yuju Plot Twist - AtHeart Evelution - Lun8 WHAT HAVE WE DONE - pH-1 JAMONG SALGU CLUB - Hanaroro From JOY, with Love - The 1st Mini Album - Joy ━━━━━━━━━★ Album: IVE Secret - IVE IVE takes over with an album that kept pulling me back for more. I didn’t expect the group to deliver another record this year that kept popping up on my playlist. XOXZ is the title track with a thumping bass that kept pulling me back for more. The title track is a stronger opener than the album as it does a great job moving the record forward. Dear My Feelings is a funky-pop tune that has been stuck in my head, and the vocals on that song are smooth to the bone. Midnight Kiss closes out the album perfectly with a strong track that is still on my playlist rotation. IVE continues to impress me this year with the music they have been putting out. https://preview.redd.it/ckkhdmiv3yrf1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4884f5c37075b8834d6f454f93f43bf650067b9 ━━━━━━━━━★ Non-Korean Release Honorable Mentions: Back in the Saddle - Luke Combs Oh My Pumpkin - AKB48 Ambivalence - NELKELife Quest - TAKANE NO NADESHIKO Teenage Blue - Hi-Fi Unicorn Disco Nap - Shania Yan Peace, Love & Cowboy - Lainey Wilson ━━━━━━━━━★ Album: FORTISSIMØ - PaleNeØ PaleNeø is a Japanese female metal band that I discovered this quarter. I checked out all the music the band has put out and fell in love with it. The new album FORTISSIMØ has been one album I’ve been loving as the band has some killer guitar solos that blend wonderfully with the excellent vocals. Tracks 8-11 are this four-part song that hits with each part that I’ve been having on repeat like crazy. It’s hard to pick a favorite song on the album, as each tune delivers something to the table that keeps everything moving. The album does a fantastic job moving from one song to another, making the project feel complete. I’m glad I discovered this band and can’t wait to hear more new music from this talented band. https://preview.redd.it/iz0lnkv64yrf1.jpg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=780cbef46c74a97b62dc6e6cb10f38162293860c submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
SuA won as our leader yesterday!!! What main dancer do you think should be our visual and Fotg (note that they don’t have to be the visual of their own group, just an idol you think would fit) Whoever has the most upvoted comment after a day will win! submitted by /u/cait_ceecee [link] [comments]
This almost ruined the song for me when I first heard it. Everytime I went back to the original, all I could hear was this. I had to stop listening to this song for a week just to forget about the english version. I despise this version and was so surprised people actually like it. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
Hi! So I was on Twitter recently and a lot of people say they would block everyone who supported Superm and saying no one should be in favor of them…but like…why? submitted by /u/Mysterious-Usual-397 [link] [comments]

Like, is it the pronunciation? Word choices? Or just being familiar with the og version making the translation awkward regardless of how good it is? I once saw that lyrical structure of Korean vs English songs are inherently too different to be able to replicate the exact quality across languages but given a lot of K-pop demos are made by western producers and sung w English lyrics I don’t think that’s it. There’s like only one English version I’ve ever liked/preferred to the og, and that’s love talk by wayv. All the other English versions of K-pop songs I’ve heard were unbearable to listen to, and I wanna know why 😭 submitted by /u/flower5214 [link] [comments]
I didn’t even know about them until 2019ish and was like WTF they are amazing groups! submitted by /u/starlightcanyon [link] [comments]

In my opinion it hasn’t. It was always toxic to some degree, it‘s just the groups and the fanbases that changed. I know some of you cannot imagine that but a few years ago BTS was the main target of K-Pop Reddit, it was a literal hell for ARMY on here. Subs like rants and UKO were considered the toxic ones back then, nowadays it‘s uncensored. Kpop Reddit has always been like this, it just went through different cycles, this happens to every subreddit and general space submitted by /u/Future_Sounds_ [link] [comments]
I think Stray Kids Ceremony is an awesome video with a great twist at the end and should win. I don’t think there are any published criteria for the award, so I don’t think the mv has to have the most streams (which may be more about the popularity of the song than the merit of the video). submitted by /u/Hopeful_Shelter_443 [link] [comments]
