Once I was having a very thought day so I cried like 2 hours if my shift and then I started to sing girlfriend by I-dle and stopped crying. submitted by /u/huskypuppies2 [link] [comments]
Pick two of your ults (from different groups), give one specific similarity and one difference between them and everyone else has to guess who it is.The clues should be somewhat specific but still vague enough to keep it interesting not something like they're both vocalists or something of that sort. submitted by /u/RemarkableList4202 [link] [comments]
Kind of a curious thought I had recently since I remember for the first time seeing Baekhyun sing along to a bunch of Bigbang songs and also learned that ningning attended bigbangs concert in the past. Also hearing that Seunghan takes inspiration from Taeyang. The two companies have been known for a long time to have contrasting concepts with each other so hearing those things was a bit of a surprise for me. So I was wondering if the true is the other way around, if there are any YG idols or artists who are a fan of any SM idols or groups. Because from what I can tell they all just say they all like other YG groups. As a bigbang fan I think they said a looong time ago that they (as a group) took inspiration off of Shinhwa but that's a very foggy memory and I can't verify if that's true. submitted by /u/Rex0680 [link] [comments]

(Not here to talk about the candy wrapper controversy. I know it's a big topic regarding this debut but I wanna hear what people think about the debut in itself.) My thoughts: I personally love both songs. I think it's the kind of teenage concept I've been looking for recently. It's rebellious, it's a little angsty, but it's also very self-loving and confident. A lot of teenage concepts in kpop are very cutesy, not that that's an issue, but I really prefer this. Overall, I love the songs and the MVs. I'm a big Soyeon fan as well and they definitely have her style of writing which I enjoy very much. Safe to say I feel very pleased with the debut. I've been listening to both F Girl and Bet You'll Regret It a lot. Also sidenote: I love Beni's voice and lines sm. She is also only a few days older than me and I think that's cool :) Bias acquired. I just wanna hear what other people feel about the songs, mvs and members of BDC since most of the discussion about them is in regards to the controversy. I feel like it's targeted more towards younger people and older kpop fans might not be into it that much. I know this might seem like I'm being overly positive or "glazing" but I genuinely just love them a lot. Tell me what you think :D submitted by /u/EnniPumpkin [link] [comments]
Idk if I'm crazy and I saw a han fancam talking about what happened with Junhan and I just saw so much hate towards the creator that they used han as the fancam for that. I've seen multiple videos that do that. Have different fancams for talking about a different issue. Is that not normal? submitted by /u/Biscuitsnstrawberrys [link] [comments]

coming from a black person, I think sagging is tacky no matter WHO does it especially considering the history behind how it was originated. regardless of my opinion on sagging, the style as a whole has been ostracized and mocked for YEARS, but now all of a sudden it's “cool” because a korean man does it? oh I see how it is. https://preview.redd.it/egox7lu4w3af1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26e32c6cdfe174ee38a19fddfd2bb7b1151c5bf8 https://preview.redd.it/cfkvs9u4w3af1.jpg?width=602&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1e4b01a8fcaf5a9c5d694fd85fde0070a7c38bf submitted by /u/miumiugirl444 [link] [comments]
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, I hope you all had an excellent 2nd quarter. The 2nd quarter was a pretty decent one as we went through a rainy Spring and into a hot Summer. I found the music to be a little better than the 1st quarter. It didn't take me long to find out who took over my quarter as it had been known since the first time I heard it. I'm excited to share with you all what took over, but remember look at my honorable mentions to see what else I liked this quarter. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/31o4ybbkv3af1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b53ad6c5bcba584139c2f64f714275589110ad7b Honorable Mentions Songs: Dare Me - IVE Rise - TXT 그대 눈이 내게 말해요 - Wonhee 안녕 내일 - The Wind ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Song: Rope It - Jin BTS Member Jin takes over my quarter with the B-side called Rope It. Jin goes for this western-sounding funky pop tune that has been on repeat since it was released in May. Jin's smooth performance keeps pulling me back for more. The hook is another catchy moment that's been stuck in my head. I'm still surprised that Jin takes over my quarter with this killer b-side that continues to be on repeat for me. https://preview.redd.it/xw5udx2wv3af1.jpg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6062fbd2f5478c68f08a56c924bd0dbb1aaa057 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Honorable Mentions Albums: HOUSE OF TRICKY : SPUR - XIKERS Echo - Jin Summer Buffet - Yang Kyle Exit Wounds - Nosun Kick Out, Flip Now! - Kickflip Girls Will be Girls - ITZY Bomb - ILLIT ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Album: Mr. Independent - Trade L Trade L takes over my quarter with his killer studio album that I've been having on repeat. This project has some killer beats that keep the record alive. GTA features Street Baby which blends wonderfully with the performance from Trade L. We do get three solo songs on the project where Trade L spits some fire bars that keep me coming back for more. It didn't take long for me to love this album as some features worked well with Trade's vocals. I'm glad Trade L returned with new music that helped make the second quarter an excellent one. https://preview.redd.it/wquqq8jzv3af1.jpg?width=537&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11400a3f484d55881123f3114e95c8403a85b35e ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Non-Korean Release Honorable Mentions: Something Beautiful - Miley Cyrus Azizam/Crashing/Sapphire/Drive - Ed Sheeran Muse - ME:I Unshutter/Let You Fade - Linkin Park Go In Blind - &TEAM Dark Side of the Sun - Men Envy Children More Like Jesus - Micah Fletcher The Last of Us: Season 2 (Soundtrack from the HBO Original Series) - Gustavo Santaolalla & David Fleming For Recreational Use Only - Blake Shelton ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Album: Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements - Seth Macfarlane Seth Macfarlane released a tribute album to Frank Sinatra using unreleased arrangments that he acquired. Anyone who loves Frank's music or jazz will love this record. The orchestra arrangments work perfectly with Seth's vocals. Give Me the Simple Life is a sweet opener to this project as it's been pulling me back. Seth puts on these performances that keep this album alive no matter what song is playing. I remember playing this album on my JBL Speaker and it felt like I was listening to Seth sing this song right in front of me. I'm so glad that Seth was given the right to make this album cause it's one that brightened up my days and made me hope for another project with more Frank arrangments that have never been released before. https://preview.redd.it/drcrh0i7w3af1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48e1c259491c0d3ab2c3a6702bcb2425f6e32c1e submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]

So all the songs from the movie are absolute bangers. I wish netflix had made more out of it by making fandom merch and cds like it wouldev been awesome. But about free. The song is a duet by a male and a female "kpop" idols. It's completely emotional and romantic. "Easy with you to fight my dark side" i dont think there has been a Collab like this in kpop ever. Where the idols are not 1. Being sexual or suggestive. 2. Not longing for each other 3. Not singing about or to some imaginary partner. 4. Is not about being teased my a crush or running after a crush. Free is completely a dialogue between two people where they find strength in each other. As per the overall story it may not be romantic but you get the vibes. I wonder if we could see any kpop idols do something like this? Imagine a full duet choreography like who are you by bambam and seulgi. Maybe kpop is too sensitive to this stuff still? submitted by /u/seokjinseyebrows [link] [comments]
I'm really excited to shop for my ateez concert outfit, but I am definitely the kind of person who needs a game plan before shopping lolll. I would like to take inspiration from one of their comebacks, but copying an outfit isn't really an option. The concert is in the middle of the summer and quite honestly these boys wear too many layers. So, here's what I would love from you all! List off a few ateez comebacks and include 1. The colors you associate with it and 2. The clothing items that stand out the most to you Also, maybe talk to me about what you're wearing to your show/what you have worn to an ateez show in the past :) submitted by /u/ShinyFlower19 [link] [comments]

Fans are speculating this has something to do with new music, or the song that will be debuted at night 1 of their tour. Personally, Idgaf until we get actual teaser teasers or concept films, but hey, at least we know it's coming. (For those not aware: blackpink will be performing the upcoming song at the concert, similar to how 1-800-hotnfun was performed before it came out and you and me by Jennie was. submitted by /u/acorrnn [link] [comments]

Honestly in situations like the one Junhan is in right now, I hear the same rhetoric over and over again. People saying he is a grown man, he should know better—but I feel like age has nothing to do with ignorance and mistakes. Both these things can happen at any age. Some people, no matter how old they are, aren't exposed to certain things at length, and their vague understandings lead them astray. Also, in other idol scandals, I often hear "so and so is from the States/Canada so they KNEW..." I don't think being born in an English country matters to the degree that this statement implies. Education—especially cultural education—is not universal, and a lot of things go missing in discussion: If the teachers don't care about it themselves If the school itself has a body of people who are not socially aware (essentially forming a bubble of ignorance) If schools are focused more on curriculum and standards, rushing students to memorize facts—not live through them, learn them, or develop knowledge through open questioning and discussion (which I think is a fundamental problem in many education systems)... It's rareee that true nuance is offered in traditional school settings, and not all English-speaking circles are aware of the social problems in America or around the globe. Some people live in a bubble, some people just eff up, no matter where they are from. Also, yes, the information IS out there, but I personally do not expect every single person to look through all of what is going on socially. I do, however, strongly believe for idols with such influence it is imperative that they do get culturally educated—especially with the global reach of K-pop. Obviously, that is not being done. I wish every company had a cultural education department or something, so it could be part of the training system overall. Overall, I show grace in these situations. Not everything or everyone is racist or a Nazi or anything like that for being misinformed, sharing misinformation, or singing a word they shouldn't have. They should be called out, yes, so those ideals aren't widely spread—but I personally wouldn't encourage getting the pitchforks out. I also need people to be your own people. Don't allow idols or celebrities to influence you so much that you can't discern and take the time to understand things. Yes, they are amazing and talented and often have sweet personas—but they are people at the end of the day. They make mistakes. They can do things wrong and eff up. It's okay. You're gonna be okay. They're gonna be okay. I have been a fan of the genre for almost 14 years now. I honestly have lots of fun, laughter, and tears—it's beautiful—but I've always seen them as human first, and I hope a lot of people take that approach too. I'm a person that reads through my responses before sending them, and thinks a lot before I speak, type, or share, etc. But I think... what if that had been me? I've always been able to put myself in others' shoes for these things. With Xdinary Heroes Junhan, I think—what if I had been exposed to some info I was excited to share but learned that it was hurtful and etc... (Even this is hypothetical because I'm not him and I don't know how he came across this info.) But I think in that situation, seeing so many fans disappointed in me—the shame would be crippling. I don't think I could've even put it in words. On the one hand, I actually empathize with those who say "you did nothing wrong" & "you don't need to apologize" (I don't agree with them, but I get where they are coming from). Unlike some people, I don't think they are some brainwashed, devout, crazy fans who will forgive anything (though those fans do unfortunately exist). I think that, more often than not, that comes out of people who want to protect the idol's mental health. (You really don't know what someone's been through or is going through—and in K-pop especially, it's scary how many people we've lost.) They don't want them to hate themselves. Plus, so much anger, frustration, etc. often comes out in these situations, so this—to them—might be a form of showing love... (This can be extremely harmful, however, because it often overshadows the people who have valid reason to be upset—discrediting their experiences and oftentimes speaking over legitimate issues that don't affect them personally.) There are ways to show love and support and not speak over people. The upset side I understand too. They want to hold idols/stars accountable, but I believe there is no uniform accountability, unfortunately. To some, an apology is everything (but there will be critics on the wording, the sincerity, etc.—public scrutiny). To some, this is the last straw (or it's one and done). To some, they won't forgive unless there's a live video where they explain everything and address people directly. And to some—even then—they will not feel accountability was held... because of this, a consistent loop is formed. Companies also play a role in this. They often won't stop promotions, they won't allow such public apologies, and they are playing a PR game—so they want to quickly sweep things under the rug. These are contract workers, we must remember. The sincerity is going to be reviewed by the company and, honestly, could very well be lost. The fans who choose to stay, stay. The ones who leave, leave. And for me, I keep a watchful eye. I believe people learn from their experiences and grow, and it's hard to see that growth from the outside unless we get to have a sit-down, heart-to-heart, open discussion about it. (Telling a person over and over again what they did wrong only puts them in shame/guilt mode, or defensive, so I really just wanna listen and want to see growth over time.) We'd never know all the thoughts they have. I also believe that there has to be space for fans to express their concern, disappointment, anger, frustrations too. And as fans of these talented, human, contract workers, we can never know the full story. From the outside, I only hold hope for the best. Often, topics related to culture are deeply rooted, ingrained into our everyday experiences. No one will understand the experience of being Black in America quite like someone who is. The same goes for other ethnicities. When your very being is stereotyped and generalized, it can be really upsetting. So I hope people can understand my community. We are not a monolith, a stereotype, trendy, etc. We are people with so many different personalities, hobbies, skills, experiences. Respect it, please. Also, no one person can speak for all of a culture/ethnicity. There will be differing opinions, experiences, and etc. So don't take my words and say "well she said this" or "they said that." We are our own people. You are your own person, kay? I honestly don't know if this is a rant or just rambling, but thanks for reading. Curious about other takes on things like this. Eugenic rhetoric in 2025 is wild, but it really just made me think—where did he get it from? Also still plan to see all of XH in concert this year. Hoping he learns from this, and if anything... I saw people in comment sections explaining things to fellow fans across fandoms—how those topics can and have been historically harmful. In that sense, I believe more people than even the idol himself learned from it. And it's the type of open discussion that heals the world. 🌎 Optimist rants allowed here, or nah? 😅💫 submitted by /u/Known-Yam7789 [link] [comments]
5 songs and each song is barely 2 minutes long... I know 2 minute songs are a worldwide epidemic right now but cmon now. With western artists, they'll pump out 2 minute catchy and easy on the ears singles just to grab people's attention. Their albums though are always filled with 3-5 minute songs to kind of make up for the 2 minute singles. For kpop though... it's just lazy 2 minute songs throughout an entire album that's not even an album cause 5 songs an album does not make. It's an EP/Single album at best. Honestly sick of this trend. Its lazy. It's tired and it's not making anyone any more famous so I don't know why they keep doing it submitted by /u/cocochanelism [link] [comments]
