I know this particular video was by a minor but we have 100s of ADULTS, grown ass women agreeing to the video in the comments not just on this video but every video I see. Looks it’s not wrong to like younger guys. But now when they are minors. The Keonho dude is fucking 16. That is a child. A CHILD. No amount of “I wanna be a noona” is ok. This is giving me enhypen flashbacks and reminds me of how people talk about minor jungkook. Idc but this is disgusting and if this was a female group, everyone would have sent their protest trucks against debuting minors, and about how adult men can’t like minor girls but suddenly it’s ok if it’s a male group? 4th generation is an interesting generation. Lets recap: People used to debate which year/group started this generation - now it is quite established late 2017 and The Boyz started the generation. We hardly see those posts about ‘Is xxx and yyy 4th gen’ anymore. They experienced the 2 year COVID draught fully - no tours, no normal kpop promotional activities, no interactions. But in turn, we have new way to promote from Youtube shows to fancalls. Some even did online concert. On the boys side, they fully felt the complication of Burning Sun. No 4th generation boy groups, even The Boyz and TXT did as well as 3rd gen and now 5th gen boy groups in Korea. But in turn, a lot of them did well internationally. Sales boom - sure 3rd generation groups remain supreme (BTS/BP/Seventeen) but starting 4th generation we start to see a lot more groups with 1 million sales, both boy and girl groups. Touring boom - lots more groups are able to do world tours after COVID ends. Sure, ‘world tour’ in kpop sense is still limited to Korea, some Asian countries and some US dates and if we are lucky we even get Australasia, Europe and LATAM, but now a lot more groups are doing tours, big or small. More groups are able to do dome in Japan and a few stadiums too. Sadly, with more opportunities for new groups, we also see more 4th generation groups disbanding. More debut, more disbands. More groups extended their contracts beyond 7th year - Idle, TXT, SKZ, Ateez. It can also be contributed to COVID effect - those 2 years feel like a holiday so it feels like 4th generation is still new even though a lot of groups are already reaching 5-7th year. Some dramas in 4th gen - NewJeans, Fifty Fifty. SME brouhaha (LSM leaving, nephew tookover, HYBE purchase etc - SME went through so much). Good or bad - 4th generation has happened. 5th gen already started. Even though no one can dethrone BTS/BP - 4th generation have notables like SKZ, Aespa, IVE, TXT, Enhypen, Ateez and a lot of good mid-sized groups, and these groups are doing so well! I’ve recently gotten into kpop again, I wasn’t really keeping up with it since 2021. My ults at the time were NCT especially Wayv/127, so I have been listening to them A LOT, and catching up with the new releases. I was aware of the Taeil situation last year and threw my merch and all though! Obviously. But I just wanted to ask how is the group currently percieved as outside of the fandom echo-chamber? I feel like it's very common for Kpop stans to only care about inclusions (specifically photocards) when buying albums. But to those who only care about the photocards: Does it even feel fulfilling to buy an album only for the photocard(s)? Maybe it's because I'm a CD collector, so the CDs feel like an even bigger deal to me, but it's quite sad to me how people just throw them away and never use them. You now literally own music you love! It's yours! Regardless of any subscriptions to streaming services! But is it really about the music that you love at this point, or just about the streaming aspect that helps groups climb up the charts? Am I the only one feeling this way? For many reasons which I once typed out and deleted I had an idea to make a series about dancing. And that turned into an idea where there's a dance battle idea. And that turned into a dance battle of the gods. And that turned into a kpop dance battle of the gods movie, probably because of all the idol bands doing each other's dances all over the internet; and so on.... Anyways, it might be stupid. But what I'm really here for is this.... does it sound like a thinly veiled criticism of kpop concert problems (like safety issues) and if so, is it a problem? If it is, it was unintentional or subconscious. In terms of problem: not interesting for a story, too thinly veiled - on the nose so as to be hitting you in the face with it, rude in some way, and so on... Would you guys have a problem with your idols shown in a movie or series this way (movie has less acts series might not work... what do you guys think?) People have strong feelings about kpop so I thought maybe I should bring it up to the fans while in the planning stage because it's harder to change later. I feel like it's a problem if I'm doing something people think is rude without realizing it, since kpop groups adn their various corporations and teams are real people and not fictional characters. The idea is really just to make a movie that a bunch of kpop groups could be in. Do you guys, as fans, generally hate this idea or think it's fine? I did not copy kpop demon hunters I had this idea and had never seen that or knew the plot, I just saw KDH because I heard about it and realized it might be like this idea.
