No way people were upset at someone for making a rant about the pdf women in kpop spaces? and even worse they were lowk blaming cortis? saying its creepier for teens to like older women then older women to obsess over teen boys as if that isn’t a usually teen boy behaviour… maybe that wasn’t commentors intention but it’s weird too call it creepier. But if it was a post about creepy full grown men obsessing over teengirls, then i bet the replies to that post would be completely different 🤦‍♀️ Female pedophiles are just as big of an issue, stop acting as if it’s not. I wanted to write up a 'small' little post sharing my love for the South Korean Boy Group Cravity and generally just shining some light on the group as I hit five years of being with them (I was originally a pre debut/debut era fan thanks to my love of MONSTA X and being introduced to the group through Jooheon) and for being a long time supporter of X1/ Produce X 101 (Who fellow members Wonjin, Hyeongjun, Minhee and Jungmo) were on the show. To me, the 9 members (Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung and Seongmin) are attractive, talented dancers and have expressed that they eventually want to become a group that writes/produces all their music. The members are smart, outgoing and genuinely seem to be good people who enjoy what they do for a living. While although concepts like 'Dare to Crave' my not fit my personal tastes, I still think songs and b sides like; Believer, Oooh Ahh, Realize, Stay, while performances like Love or Die (Road to Kingdom) and Sugar Rush Ride (Road to Kingdom) can show off some of their talents, express the lyricism while also doing darker concepts/showing what they are capable of. In my eyes, they really stepped out of that 'MONSTA X little brother role' or frame, making a new for themselves with each release, Hyeongjun's appearance on D'Live TV and JFriends. While Seongmin really stands out not only for being the maknae of the group but also for some of my favourite fancams; Adrenaline, the ghost white hair look for 'My Turn', this dark blue look for Gas Pedal or the much needed pink hair (that needs to make a comeback of its own) for Party Rock. He is someone that has many charms, yes his voice might be higher then the rest, or his style could sometimes be considered feminine at times but he is honestly so talented outside the youngest role and I wish he got more credit, his vocals have always been improving. Even if these days I am more disconnected from the 'fandom' spaces, I can still see the improvement within the group and setting new records for themselves. To start, I am using the term “failed” in a completely neutral business like term possible. I don’t hate the members, former member or them generally and I am speaking completely as a surface level casual listener of their music. This thought was inspired by the recent “buy two get two” ticket deal they are currently having for their US tour. This was the first time I’ve seen something like this for a kpop group (lmk if another group had ever done this) It made me think of the hype they had during their debut; two former NCT members, great line up overall, nice concept…and then that “scandal” happened (very much bring Seunghan back camp) and I feel like it just caused them to, for lack of better words, be tossed aside and given the bare minimum for an SM group. [tagging as discussion bc if it doesn't have a reason then i think it would be cool to talk/think about, and idk if anyone will have a definite answer haha] we all know how overstimulating kpop mvs can be - multiple set and outfit/makeup changes, edits/cgi, choreo shots etc. - and often there will be sUch good looks and sets but we only get to see like...10 seconds of it cut up in between other scenes so it's sort of wasted. we all know kpop companies lOve getting as many clicks, views, likes, streams as possible and how they already milk releases lol, and obvs we dO get mv behind the scenes vids - usually showing some of the group/a member filming a part of the mv and some takes, BUT i was wondering why companies don't release various videos, after an mv has been released for a bit, where each video is showing a specific set and the makeup/outfits that go with that set from the mv? (**example below) obvs minus all the takes that they wouldn't want us to see if idols looked "bad" or silly lol specifically for shots that don't require a lot of noticeable cgi *e.g. for the baggy jeans mv there would *hypothetically be a video for: • all solo shots of members w the light shining on them • black and white striped floor set • fake desert background where they're shirtless • all solo shots of them outside where the skaters are • rooftop (this has a lot of cgi but yk it's not essential) • pool table room • giant radio/speaker thing (idk what it is lol) • garage • white background and dark floor (obviously they could compile these parts into 1 long video or 1 for all solo shots and 1for group shots+choreo etc. whatever) i hope im explaining what i mean well lol💀 basically, since they already hAve many minutes of different outfits/shots/sets/choreo filmed that didn't make it into the video, why not put these into other little videos that fans can watch? in my mind this would be super beneficial in getting more traction for the song/mv, would let fans see the different outfits and sets properly, and the companies would be getting their proper money's worth out of all the things they filmed and used lmao is there something I'm missing?? like is there a very obvious reason why they don't do this or?? bc i feel like if it's not showing the idols looking "bad" in unused takes then lowkey...why not😭 it's already been filmed 😭 and it would need minimal editing of basically just splicing different shots together ESPECIALLY bc kpop is sooo saturated w content and is full of fan edits, so i think this idea just makes sense😭 submitted by /u/Important-Zombie9331 [link] [comments]
