Although a lot of my favorite groups released albums this year, I can't really say any album released so far has been go to. I wish I did like an album to the point where I could repeat it too. Has anyone found an AOTY worthy album released yet? submitted by /u/dalganjans87 [link] [comments]
I know this is going to sound rude and all but I need to talk about this. Most kpop fans are huge hypocrites. For example, they want idols to rest but they keep requesting more songs, more content and more appearances in music shows. Like hello?? You need to practice a lot to do that. Do people think they just go on stage, perform, then it's over? I'm sorry but that's not how it works. And I am not talking about when idols don't release songs for over 10 months or a year. I'm talking about groups that released a comeback 3 months ago and finished promotions 1 month ago. Seriously just let those poor idols rest instead of asking for comebacks and nonstop performances just a bit after an idol's comeback. Let those poor people rest submitted by /u/straykifsontop [link] [comments]

Honestly recently I somehow distanced myself from K-pop and Korean dramas ect. It wasn't intentional but it feels like it happened in one day. I started to see idols like a humans not people to actually idolise. I started to see small differences between idols professional fan service and them as a people by listening their interviews and this K-pop marketing stopped working for me for some reason. I don't want to buy stuff, merch and spend my money. Only maybe occasionally on concerts of artists I like and I know will perform well that would be willing to come to my country or at least neighbours. I started to see that some idols behaviour feel forced sometimes not genuine. I started to see it like an actual job for many idols not a perfect dream come true job. I even followed few sites that were giving news and updates about idols but now it doesn't feel interesting anymore. I listen to old songs by various K-pop artists I know but I don't check out new stuff and somehow I don't feel the need or urge to do it. I was huge BTS/Stray Kids/Ateez fan but now I don't even check their Instagram and when I get a notification that a member is live I tend to ignore it and don't feel the need to check it out. I only watch sometimes interviews and variety shows on YT because my algorithm is still 80% K-pop based. Now I wonder if maybe it was just a phase or temporary (5 years) addition instead or maybe I grew out of it. It feels partially wrong but also freeing for some reason. Have you felt similarly? submitted by /u/TruthApprehensive304 [link] [comments]

We're in 2025, and to this day people say Kim Taeyeon is all natural, along with her other teammates in Girls Generation and I gasp so hard because pre debut cosmetics is a MUST. No exception. And I'm not even going to talk about Aespa's face transformation. Or even BTS who besides not having the face transf as a result of being scrutinized by HYBE STAFF or even "Fans", still they felt the need to do minor cosmetics, rhinoplasty which is the most common beside idols, or even the chin implants which is also very common to make your chin in the V Line. If I'm going to be honest, saying 30% of the K-Pop Industry MAXIMUM didn't do very big changes with Plastic Surgery, but only minor cosmetics (Botox, Lip fillers etc). Maybe 5-10% is all natural MAYBE. And it's no big deal. They don't deny it, but also don't say it either bc of their respective company or because they bluntly know that what holds their fans is their face and body. If you have the dance, singing and visuals, well you're the "Ace". But we're talking about K-Pop where majority of groups don't have all the skills, but their beauty and personality. K-Pop never is about true talent, and nobody can ever make my mind. First they see the body and face, THEN they'll evaluate your talent. But, even if you're just pretty they'll criticize, so you'll constantly have to prove your point. K-Pop is merely for people who don't have nothing to do with their lives, so they can be obsessed about you. You can be the pretty with minor talent that people feel bad because you don't have any talent, or be the Ugly with a good personality but talent, yet people will never talk about the actual talent unless you become pretty. Talent rarely actually matters. Only for people who actually listens to music besides K-Pop and knows what a actual performer and singer is. submitted by /u/po_pov [link] [comments]
âX said this on bubbleâ âX said this on instagramâ âX said this on Weverseâ âX said fans should do this. If you donât listen to X, you are not a real fanâ âX said fans should not do this.â âX said this about the company so we should feel the same wayâ âX says he hates this so I hate it tooâ even if I donât follow a group, I hear so much about X that it turns me off from them and itâs not their fault. submitted by /u/taejinkook28 [link] [comments]
I had the chance to see ateez for the second time in chicago this year and this time i got an atiny vip ticket which includes sendoff. Unfortunately I ended up in the second row during sendoff so I didnât get to see the members way up close. I was extremely lucky enough to get my towards the light jersey signed by all the members but that was mainly because I was handing it to the manager and not the member himself. I tried to get my Aniteez signed too but Yunho went immediately after wooyoung and he was insanely fast so my Tyudeongi didnât get signed and my mom also didnât get her Wooyonyang signed. Also none of the members really talked to the fans. it kinda seemed like they just wanted to be done with it. Yeosang, Mingi, and Hongjoong were the only ones really interacting with people and Yeosang was the only one who looked at me. I mean I was second row but still. plus it only took 12 minutes for all the members to come through. Iâm very happy with what I have signed but Iâm just disappointed that I didnât get to interact with the members. Thatâs why you get sendoff in the first place right? Maybe Iâm just salty but Iâm just wondering if anyone feels the same or disagrees submitted by /u/FormalCustard2568 [link] [comments]

Hey guys, I finally have some time to work on my K-pop wordle-like game, kpople.net. I just wanted to get some suggestions for what boy groups and soloists I should be adding. I wanna try adding groups that were pretty popular 3rd generation and onwards. Specifically I'm wondering if there are some boy group equivalents to Hearts2Hearts, NMIXX, Red Velvet. (Just groups that are popular enough to guess but not already in the game). Sorry if this has been a confusing prompt, but I look forward to reading the suggestions. Thanks! submitted by /u/Minute_Expression973 [link] [comments]

It might be anything from a comeback announcement to a cute photo or video of your bias to an achievement from your ult group to an awesome song you discovered. Please share it with me. I (and I wouldnât be surprised if this applies to some of you out there as well) need a reminder of how fun and enjoyable kpop can be. Letâs celebrate and enjoy some stuff together. submitted by /u/epicheroine44 [link] [comments]
