Why is nobody talking about this song? I just watched KPop Demon Hunters (late I know) but I’ve seen everyone talking about it/the songs since it came out, particularly Your Idol and Golden but also Takedown and Soda Pop. I’d already listened to all these and actually had Your Idol on repeat for like a week before I even watched the movie lol that song is addictive. But I never saw ANYONE talking about What It Sounds Like, like I didn’t even know the song existed until I heard it in the movie and I just can’t understand why like that song is so beautiful I actually cried during that scene. In a way I’m glad I hadn’t heard it beforehand because it probably wouldn’t have had the same impact but also I need people to talk about it because it’s just so good. Ejae’s voice is incredible, it’s so powerful and emotive and the whole production and build up of the song just hits perfectly. If a member is the least popular in their group, it doesn’t make sense to defend them by comparing them to other groups. Fan: “jin is the least popular. He’s underrated.” Fan 2: “bts is so big. Even the least popular member has more fans than any other group.” It only matters whether the idol is popular in their own group. Most still think Jin as being the least popular of BTS and won’t consider him being more famous than San (Ateez) or Baekhyun (Exo). Why? So I realized specifically this year that there’s been a lot of great songs from groups that I don’t usually listen to or necessarily love their sound! There’s also a few groups that I just couldn’t get into for so long, but a switch just flipped for me this year. Is anyone else in this boat? What songs or groups are they? UAU; attitude and sacrifice - I’m just not a fan of Dreamcatchers sound, but just wow. These are right up my alley! These are the songs that inspired this post because never in a million years would I think that they’d make a subunit with my type of music! ARTMS; Burn - this song makes me feel like a baddass haha I just love it truly. I’ve never been able to really get into Loona or ARTMS unfortunately! TWICE and BTS; their whole discography! Not sure what clicked for me, but something did this year for sure! And I absolutely get the hype for both now. TXT; Cat and Dog - literally just got into them and finally listened to this song; I actually love it and lift to it haha. UNIS; superwoman - the title is ironic because if I’m not mistaken, they are predominately minors and I know the youngest is around 13 or 14; so I don’t actively listen to them. I’m not sure how I found this song, but I absolutely love it to bits. Hearts2Hearts; the chase - I loathed this song when it came out and over the last month, I have genuinely listened to it everyday for every situation. as someone who got tickets and isn’t even a huge blink, i need to say: i don’t CARE that they released ONE song in over three years. i don’t care that their dancing isn’t synchronized like at all. when a group has an amazing discography (which not everyone might agree with) & they still put up a genuine LIVE performance, hell yeah i want tickets. do i think it’s sad that they can do this because they don’t have any consequences because people (including me - yes I’m hypocritical) will continue supporting them? yes. but at the end of the day i personally feel like i am getting what i expected. even before their dancing was never something they were praised for in concerts. lack of energy was always a common theme in discussions. nevertheless, if i can be in a stadium of people singing their heart out to forever young im good. short rant lol submitted by /u/kkazugyu [link] [comments]
