2.093. I don’t think VCHAs rebrand will work.

Like the title says, I’m definitely open to being proven wrong, but I don’t think I will be. I have no idea what’s going on at JYPE, but it feels like they can never quite get it right with these girls. The name is okay, the teaser trailer was underwhelming, and honestly, they don’t really give off the vibe of an American girl group. If you compare them to a group like Say Now, who are also in their 20s, there’s a noticeable difference, Say Now look like grown women, whereas Girlset comes across more like girls playing dress up. I had some hope for their new music, but then they dropped a song teaser… and it’s following the tired formula of “Western audiences like songs about money and rebellion.” That kind of music has as much depth as their old VCHA tracks basically kid-bop level. The lyrics literally go, “You keep looking at me like you want to spend some money on me, I’m like commas” on repeat. I honestly don’t know if their team has never actually listened to successful pop artists or what’s going on. I just hope they figure it out soon, because these girls deserve a real shot at competing in the industry. That is all. submitted by /u/Royal-Potential-544 [link] [comments]

2.094. Hold on...why I'm actually moving

  • reddit.com language

Ngl...this song a is bob. The chorus was so much better this time , but I wish it was more climatic, the song felt it's going in one tone most of the time but it's a decent song I'd say but I hoped they hired an actual artist to draw the teaser. It's a one time listen from me tbh as I don't want to support anything that's had AI art in any way rather than actual artist submitted by /u/TheLastPetal65 [link] [comments]

2.095. The Obsession with Abs? (skz mostly)

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Okay so just to preface I used to be a casual fan of Kpop boybands for a period in the past and I noticed that one group in particular (Straykids) just seems to be developing this weird fascination with showing their bodies/abs on stage (i know it’s other groups too don’t get me wrong i was just mostly a fan of skz) and it’s getting to a point where it's like EVERY. SINGLE. CONCERT. they feel they have to either wear barely anything on top or just keep CONSTANTLY lifting their shirts up and it’s one specific guy that does it I’m not gonna name names tho cough cough Bangchan cough cough and it’s like I can’t escape seeing fancams and videos of them just continuously doing this on stage like is this a music concert or is this a freaking Strip-Tease show?? 😭😭 and arent the fans like idk 12-16 or something? Im not trying to be a hater or anything Im just genuinely curious?? Like OKAYYYY we get ittt you exercise a lot and starve yourselves so you have abs, and then the fans reactions.. I mean my gosh you would think they just ripped their pants off and exposed their d**s on stage the way they absolutely lose their freaking minds screaming and crying and shouting, and thats also what I’m confused about. Why do people in the crowd absolutely FREAK OUT whenever they see a grown ass person show their TORSO for crying out loud it’s like they've never seen a man in real life or something and this is their first time seeing abs irl or something. So ig my question is do you think this is something they do themselves to get a little extra screams and blow their heads up cause they know it will get reactions or do you think it’s something the company makes them do on stage? Like sometimes I wanna see just normal music and dancing on stage without having pecs and abs and weird *fingering motions shoved in my face like it’s just WEIRD IM SORRY😭😭😵‍💫. Again not trying to be rude I’m just genuinely curious am I missing something here? submitted by /u/Disastrous_Lettuce92 [link] [comments]

2.100. Has there been a kpop idol that switched to jpop?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I feel like there a good number of idols that have come from Japanese idol groups and joined kpop groups (Sakura from LE SSERAFIM, Tsuki from Billlie, Yuna from CSR, etc.) Have there been idols that went the other way? Like started in a kpop group and then switched to jpop later on? submitted by /u/WhoaShenanigans [link] [comments]

  • reddit.com language

Some of my favorite photos/videos of idols, are of when they look so genuinely and uncontrollably happy. With a cute nose scrunch or whisker dimples (I'm looking at you, Sua!), it makes my heart feel so full 🥺💕 Don't get me wrong, they look stunning with their stage/model smiles, but they also look so beautiful smiling like this Have you ever found a photos of an idol smiling so widely or with such bright eyes that it makes your heart melt...? Please share them in the replies~ submitted by /u/Worried-Ad-7727 [link] [comments]

2.106. is GIRLSET's trailer referencing KG's allegations?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

one of the girls in the 4CHA/GIRLSET trailer has glitter on her lower torso. she then wipes it away with her hand. this might be a stretch but I swear it looks the same as the bruise KG had due to internal bleeding (the photo can be found in her statement document). that photo was one of the most viral ones that circulated on social media, if I remember correctly most likely it is just a cool-looking aesthetic shot for the trailer, but in the back of my mind I feel it could be a reference that KG has been "wiped away" from the group. submitted by /u/chuucansuebbc [link] [comments]

2.107. Kpop would be way better if people just stopped comparing and fighting

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Seriously, I feel like it's really immature to argue about K-pop groups online. I understand that many are young fans, but K-pop should be a genre of music, not a battlefield where wars between fandoms can break out at any moment. Who's the leading group of the generation, who has the best vocals, who dances the best, who's the It girl... come on. It's music. That's it. We as fans don't gain anything by fighting with other fans. Not even idols gain from it. I want to think that they only do this online and that they are either ragebait or children/teenagers. submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]
