Maybe it's just me, but I am so tired of idols, whether these are solo artist or groups, announcing their tour dates like 2 months in advance. It gives people so little time to prepare. Especially if you live so far away to the CLOSEST venue. Not only are you fighting over concert tickets for MAYBE a good view, but then you would have to consider how you're getting there, where to stay, and how much money you would need to save up. As an adult, sure you may have adult money, but we also have bills to pay. How can we prep with so little time in advance to save for the event? And what about kids who are into kpop? Like, you would have to get a group together, convince your parents to take off and take you, etc. This really first started it when Taemin announced his Ephermal Gaze tour like with only 2 months from the date in New York??? Really??? And now, with G-Dragon FINALLY announcing his U.S./ Europe part of his tour which doesn't start until August??? These were 2 idols that I wanted to see so badly (got into kpop in the 2nd gen back in 2010), and it annoys me so much that these companies don't give fans that much time to prepare for these tours. We all want to have a good time. submitted by /u/AdhesivenessOnly2485 [link] [comments]

I know some of you might be confused as to why I put "again" but before RUNEXT and hybe she was in another group and like 4iren hasn't debuted yet. Jihyun was a member of HOWZ it was going to be a girl group under HOW Entertainment the same company as Wang Ke (produce48) was in. Jihyun was the youngest in HOWZ and HOWZ didn't debut the group went radio silent which left us fans wondering for a long time if they did disband. The last updates was in September 2020. Now Jihyun didn't debut or win a spot in illit after RUNEXT she is now a member of 4iren which has been radio silent too and one person on kprofiles commented on siren's profile 'Rip 4IREN' I do admit when I saw Jihyun on RUNEXT I was surprised and a part of me did hope she would of debuted or gotten a good rank in the show. Idk I give i needed to type this out and wonder if anyone else has this same worry submitted by /u/sunshineofkindness [link] [comments]
aespa never really misses when it comes to concept trailers imo and the styling for Dirty Work has been so on point for each member. I'm not even a big fan of teeth jewelry in general but these grills have got me OBSSESSED. SM stylists may fumble every now and then but they knew exactly what they were doing here. The girls are gonna eat this shit up! 27th can't get here soon enough. submitted by /u/beelzebub2099 [link] [comments]
Why is their music video/streams plummeting from icy, not shy, wannabe era too now with born to be, gold, girls will be girls? It’s like it’s been a slow regression over time and I feel so sorry for the girls, yunas comments kill me submitted by /u/EthanFoster10 [link] [comments]
Hi everyone! This post is a weekly thread for any thoughts you might have that feel don't need a post of its own but still would like to air to the world. All rules apply, but you can discuss anything you want related to Kpop. Please be respectful and have fun! submitted by /u/KpopThoughtsmodteam [link] [comments]

Heeseung is hands down one of the most talented and emotionally expressive vocalists of 4th gen. His voice is clean, warm, and always so full of heart. But lately, especially during the Desire: Unleash era, I’ve been noticing things in his live performances that have me genuinely worried for his vocal health. There are some of the patterns I’ve observed: His neck muscles are constantly flexing when singing, even in softer or mid-range parts — it looks like physical tension, not just emotional engagement. He tends to let go of notes with a squeak or sudden release, especially at the end of longer lines or higher phrases. In their encore (esp. the intro line in "BAD DESIRE"), his pitch comes out lower or more unstable than the studio version— but in all member fancams, his pitch sounds more accurate, which suggests it might not just be a mixing issue but maybe vocal fatigue. These squeaks and tension weren’t as present in older performances (like during I-LAND or early BORDER eras), but now they seem consistent—almost like a habit or coping mechanism. I’m not saying he’s bad now— no, not at all. His talent is unreal, but I’m afraid that with how often he sings live, combined with intense choreo and constant promotions, he might be compensating with muscle tension instead of deep breath support. It reminds me of what happened to Jimin from BTS who also had a beautiful, emotional voice that gradually developed similar signs of vocal stress (neck tension, pitch drops, squeaks, etc.) after years of overuse and pressure. And that’s what scares me— not a "bad performance," but the long-term risk of pushing a naturally gifted voice too hard without enough recovery or technical support. I’d love to know if Has anyone else noticed these changes? Do you think the squeak is stylistic or a sign of vocal fatigue? Should companies be more cautious about how often idols sing live without vocal rest? At the end of the day, I just want Heeseung to stay healthy and sing for many more years. He has one of the most special voices in K-pop—I hope hybe or belift care enough. No hate, just love and concern. Would love to hear you guys' thoughts. submitted by /u/Tricky-Challenge6366 [link] [comments]

This is just my two cents and I’m not judging anyone for using these services nor the idols for using them. I know it is part of their job. Obviously most of us know that something the kpop industry and companies love to do is sell the boyfriend/girlfriend fantasy. There’s so many ways companies do this it’s not just what I’m talking about here. They profit off of fans feeling like they have a chance with their bias, catering to a fantasy. I have seen some of the messages that are sent on apps like Bubble, fromm, toktoq, etc. or even Weverse and some of them are very flirty especially the ones on Bubble where it’s mentioning Y/N and fills in with the persons name. It is just a little weird to me 😭 I’ve never paid for it I just see it on twitter. I would feel kind of awkward getting these relationshippy cutesy messages that sound like something an s/o would send you and it’s literally an idol sending it to millions of people who paid a monthly fee just to receive these messages. I feel like stuff like that adds to the unhealthy parasocial relationships and attachments fans get to idols. Again I’m not judging but it’s a little wild to essentially pay every month to get y/n text messages from your bias. I hope this doesn’t come off as judgmental or mean it’s just my thoughts. submitted by /u/picklesjimin [link] [comments]

(credit to the photo owners) FINALLY years after LOCO era, I can see the effort being put into her styling and makeup compared to other members. If you follow ITZY, usually we can barely see any colours on her face and she will always be put in pants just because she’s the “girl crush” persona of the group. Don’t even talk about her hair that they just straighten and call it a day before sending her on stage. Yes, she’s one of the most naturally pretty idol out there but come on do something with the face card. So kudos to the team for finally figuring things out and I hope that this will continue to be the case in the future!! submitted by /u/Ok-Comfortable9694 [link] [comments]
I’m currently watching Seonghwa’s episode on LMJ Service (literally, as I’m typing), and ofc he sang their latest tt “Lemon Drop”. Am I the only one who thought the intro sounded so much like SKZ’s “FAM” and the whole song felt like a cousin of Tinashe’s “2 On”? Nobody come at me saying I’m hating on them coz I literally put majority of my votes in for them during Kingdom’s final battle 🤨 I have Spreadsheet receipts! Just genuinely wondering if anyone else had the same thought. submitted by /u/Successful-Bike-5731 [link] [comments]
