Why do Idols announce their tours with little time to prepare???

Maybe it's just me, but I am so tired of idols, whether these are solo artist or groups, announcing their tour dates like 2 months in advance. It gives people so little time to prepare. Especially if you live so far away to the CLOSEST venue. Not only are you fighting over concert tickets for MAYBE a good view, but then you would have to consider how you're getting there, where to stay, and how much money you would need to save up. As an adult, sure you may have adult money, but we also have bills to pay. How can we prep with so little time in advance to save for the event? And what about kids who are into kpop? Like, you would have to get a group together, convince your parents to take off and take you, etc. This really first started it when Taemin announced his Ephermal Gaze tour like with only 2 months from the date in New York??? Really??? And now, with G-Dragon FINALLY announcing his U.S./ Europe part of his tour which doesn't start until August??? These were 2 idols that I wanted to see so badly (got into kpop in the 2nd gen back in 2010), and it annoys me so much that these companies don't give fans that much time to prepare for these tours. We all want to have a good time. submitted by /u/AdhesivenessOnly2485 [link] [comments]

1.468. We should stop pretending to be happy when our idols is dating its the cringiest thing ever.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Okay, let’s talk about this. I’m not even talking about the psycho sasaeng fans who send threats I’m talking about those stans who act like they’re so chill and "nontoxic" but are clearly faking it. Like, the minute an idol dating rumor drops, they go from "forget him, I want her" or "omg she’s our girlfriend now!" to pretending they’re cool with it when we all know they're dying inside. Like let’s be honest for a second. I’m straight, but for someone like Lalisa? Yeah, I was ready to throw my whole life away for her. Then the Frédéric Arnault dating rumors popped up and I legit wanted to evaporate. My queen??? With the son of a luxury brand CEO?? I couldn’t even process it. And don’t even get me started on when she was seen with Adam from Maroon 5. I couldn’t even watch the music video, I had to go listen on Spotify with my screen turned off like a clown. Now it’s happening again. Billie Eilish is apparently taken and I’m supposed to just smile and be supportive? No. I’m gonna sit here and grieve in silence like any normal delusional fan. Stop expecting people to be all mature and clap like we’re proud moms at a wedding. Sometimes we just wanna cry. Let’s normalize being a little bit dramatic when our fave starts dating, without pretending we’re totally okay and suddenly “in love” with their partner. You don’t need to start shipping them. You don’t need to act like it’s the best news ever. It’s okay to be in your feelings about it as long as you’re not being weird or sending hate. Just stop faking it. We see through it. submitted by /u/Starpeachhhh- [link] [comments]

For me the choices are quite easy. Ah Solar my bias in MMM. I-Dle* (they are talented not only on stage but even producing and creating). Minnie as bias NMIXX (finally a great new vocal group). Haewon (can't live without the meme queen) Red Velvet (with MMM my fav group since I began to listen to kpop in 2015). Irene 100% submitted by /u/BioNeon83 [link] [comments]

1.473. NewJeans' appeal for the injuction was dismissed. The court was quite brutal about it. What are the next steps? How many losses is it going to take for them to come to their senses?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

[...] The court also dismissed the argument that the activity ban would cause a prolonged hiatus for the members, stating, "This is merely self-inflicted damage resulting from their refusal to comply with the valid exclusive contract. On the contrary, the creditor stands to suffer losses due to their actions." It emphasized, "As parties to the exclusive contract, the debtors have a fundamental obligation to comply with its terms. Requiring them to adhere to the contract until the final ruling in the main lawsuit (confirming the validity of the exclusive contract) does not infringe on their freedom to pursue their profession or artistic expression." submitted by /u/thebarted [link] [comments]

1.475. The absolute state of the kpop community for the past year

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I've been active in kpop spaces since 2021 and a fan since 2019 but I swear to god I've never seen even this community reach these levels of toxicity. Yes,the kpop community has always been toxic, that's not news but I feel like it became completely intolerable since last year. We're at a point where everyone absolutely loathes anyone who isn't their favorite group, any public move an idol makes, especially a woman who belongs in a group the kpop community currently dislikes launches a year long hate campaign and it feels like you can't enjoy kpop anymore unless you completely distance yourself from the kpop community ala no internet access. I damn myself for not having left kpop spaces yet but someday I want to go back to the way I enjoyed kpop in 2019 and 2020. Yes,I was a kid back then but the way I consumed and enjoyed kpop turned out to be far healthier for today's standards anyways submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]

1.479. I fear Choi Jihyun (RUNEXT) won't be debuting again

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know some of you might be confused as to why I put "again" but before RUNEXT and hybe she was in another group and like 4iren hasn't debuted yet. Jihyun was a member of HOWZ it was going to be a girl group under HOW Entertainment the same company as Wang Ke (produce48) was in. Jihyun was the youngest in HOWZ and HOWZ didn't debut the group went radio silent which left us fans wondering for a long time if they did disband. The last updates was in September 2020. Now Jihyun didn't debut or win a spot in illit after RUNEXT she is now a member of 4iren which has been radio silent too and one person on kprofiles commented on siren's profile 'Rip 4IREN' I do admit when I saw Jihyun on RUNEXT I was surprised and a part of me did hope she would of debuted or gotten a good rank in the show. Idk I give i needed to type this out and wonder if anyone else has this same worry submitted by /u/sunshineofkindness [link] [comments]

aespa never really misses when it comes to concept trailers imo and the styling for Dirty Work has been so on point for each member. I'm not even a big fan of teeth jewelry in general but these grills have got me OBSSESSED. SM stylists may fumble every now and then but they knew exactly what they were doing here. 1.484. Let’s talk about idol vocal health: a case with heeseung.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Heeseung is hands down one of the most talented and emotionally expressive vocalists of 4th gen. His voice is clean, warm, and always so full of heart. But lately, especially during the Desire: Unleash era, I’ve been noticing things in his live performances that have me genuinely worried for his vocal health. There are some of the patterns I’ve observed: His neck muscles are constantly flexing when singing, even in softer or mid-range parts — it looks like physical tension, not just emotional engagement. He tends to let go of notes with a squeak or sudden release, especially at the end of longer lines or higher phrases. In their encore (esp. the intro line in "BAD DESIRE"), his pitch comes out lower or more unstable than the studio version— but in all member fancams, his pitch sounds more accurate, which suggests it might not just be a mixing issue but maybe vocal fatigue. These squeaks and tension weren’t as present in older performances (like during I-LAND or early BORDER eras), but now they seem consistent—almost like a habit or coping mechanism. I’m not saying he’s bad now— no, not at all. His talent is unreal, but I’m afraid that with how often he sings live, combined with intense choreo and constant promotions, he might be compensating with muscle tension instead of deep breath support. It reminds me of what happened to Jimin from BTS who also had a beautiful, emotional voice that gradually developed similar signs of vocal stress (neck tension, pitch drops, squeaks, etc.) after years of overuse and pressure. And that’s what scares me— not a "bad performance," but the long-term risk of pushing a naturally gifted voice too hard without enough recovery or technical support. I’d love to know if Has anyone else noticed these changes? Do you think the squeak is stylistic or a sign of vocal fatigue? Should companies be more cautious about how often idols sing live without vocal rest? At the end of the day, I just want Heeseung to stay healthy and sing for many more years. He has one of the most special voices in K-pop—I hope hybe or belift care enough. No hate, just love and concern. Would love to hear you guys' thoughts. submitted by /u/Tricky-Challenge6366 [link] [comments]
