i want to be a kpop idol and it’s making me really distraught

I need some advice. I recently got into kpop, and i genuinely love it.(I’m 14F btw) i’m not sure if this is the right community, and i’ll take it down in a bit after i receive advice, but, essentially, i want advice on how to give up on my dream of becoming an idol. recently, i’ve starting to want to become an idol REALLY BAD, it looks so fun, and being with a group of all your friends and people your close with, and the amount of love and popularity you get from fans really appeals to me. For me, I think this is mostly about the fame, as i’ve always wanted to be famous, but getting into kpop and discovering idols and all REALLY heightened that. But, i also want to ask if my want for fame could be linked to more innate problems within myself(or if ive just been overthinking it lmao), if it could be an indication of some dissatisfaction, or need for validation and approval and love?? But,to be honest, my life is nowhere near bad enough( i live in a first world country with a multitude of friends who i genuinely love)for me to have dissatisfaction from it, but i could never be content with my life. I’ve also been a maladaptive daydreamer since around 8 years old(and recently i’ve been obviously maladaptively daydreaming about being an idol), so maybe that could have something to do with it, and also slightly abusive parents, but only slightly. Using those facts and info, maybe someone could tell me if i have issues within myself linking to it, or if my want to be an idol is just natural. i want to be content with my life, but i just CANT. everytime i think of being an idol i get come over with an insurmountable amount of sadness, pain and loss of a dream, becuase ive tried soo soo hard to convince myself to not want to become an idol, because its just impossible, yet my heart still hurts soo much and i feel so sad, and i get so sad whenever i watch content, which is bad cuz i really want to enjoy and love the groups. i want advice on how to be content with my own, private life, and how to fully let go of this dream, and if my want for fame could say something about me im relatively very new to reddit and don’t know how communities work but i really need some ideas. thank uou all submitted by /u/sierra732 [link] [comments]

Ew trump. I do not support any misogynistic, white nationalist, incel, hitler-like (esp. Musk), racists at all and neither does this sub and apparently neither does reddit as a site as a whole. He stands against everything Kpop stands for which is an art form from a formerly colonized people from a country that is rising up against colonialism and hatred. 2. It's great to see 2nd Gen idols still doing so well and reaching new peaks

I was really happy to see Bigbang and Taemin on the Coachella line-up today, and I have to say it's giving me some hope that the k-pop landscape might be starting to allow for some longevity. I know they are both exceptions and not the rule, but it's honestly great to see these 2nd gen acts gain more and more fans as the years pass. I mean, I know Taemin is only 32, but both him and Bigbang have been in the industry for SO long and their fandoms are only growing in size - not only that, but they are getting opportunities that reflect that too. All Bigbang members are closer to their 40s than 30s and G-Dragon is well on his way to complete one of the, if not the, most attended tours by a kpop solo act ever. In an industry that keeps debuting minors, that has such a focus on youth, on chasing trends, on always finding the newer, better thing; I really hope their success can perhaps open some doors for other groups/idols to get more opportunities as they age as well. I don't consider Coachella the pinnacle of all achievements but it's undeniable that no kpop artist who is declining in popularity would be offered a slot. I know this is a bit delusional, but I hope kpop companies are watching and maybe choosing to invest a bit more in their older acts. Fingers crossed we can start seeing things shift slowly and less groups being thrown in the basement once the members hit 30. (and yes, still wondering about what could have been with Bangchella 2020, but I am really glad they are getting this opportunity again) submitted by /u/tinuvhiel [link] [comments]

3. [PRODUCE-PLANET SERIES] I had too much free time in my hands....

  • 48 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

... so I compiled info tables about the whole Produce-Planet series (including Japan too). Joke asides, I mainly did it out of curiosity while re-watching Produce 101 Japan The Girls and realizing how few votes the girls got compared to Korean season. So then I decided to compare every Produce season to see how many more votes each season got, hence how much more popular each season got. Then I added the Japanese seasons and the Planet series out of curiosity even it's quite difficult to compare them (Japan seasons have a different target and Planet seasons have a complete different voting system), but I found it interesting to add them. Might update it once B2P is finished with the whole data. Enjoy ♥ PRODUCE 101 SEAOSON 1 (2016) Date Ep. 4. Unemployed K-girl group fan listens to every girl group discography —Day 5: U

  • 59 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I am listening to all the singles, EPs and albums by k pop and K-pop-adjacent girl groups on a tier list. Including: Original Japanese singles/albums Subunits and solos under the group profile OSTs* Not including: Solos and subunits outside of group albums Any covers, remastered versions or remixes First slide(s) will be a ranking of the group, and the second slide(s) will be a ranking in the context of other girl groups. These are just my personal opinions; music is subjective! What I like and how I rank these songs may not line up with your own tastes. I won’t take into account scandals, popularity, or other outside factors. Just the music itself. For U, I listened to the following groups: UNIS, UNI.T I found this ranking a little tough to post since it’s the first time all groups ended up in Not for me. Neither UNI.T nor UNIS connected with me musically, and I didn’t find much that I’d return to. Still, I gave them a fair listen: UNI.T has a quintessential 2018 kpop sound to them, overall I couldn’t get into their discography. They looked to be a project girl group and their discography was very short compared to others like iz*one or i.o.i Top 3: TING Star You&I UNIS were a bit better but their songs are just overall not my taste. Regardless of the ranking, I watched a lyric video afterwards and Hyeonju has an amazing vocal tone. Is she a main vocalist, cause damn her voice is amazing! Top 3: Good Feeling Shaking My Head SUPERWOMAN No stand out bottom 3 for either Even though both were misses, I’m glad I gave them a try, and I'm very excited to move on to the T groups, I think there’ll be some that I like a lot more. *I listened to the VIVIZ album I forgot to rank and enjoyed it; Sticker was my favorite. But not enough to change their ranking. submitted by /u/Armys_blink_once [link] [comments]

I’ve tried a bunch of kpop “heardle” clones lately and most were a mess, pop-ups, broken mobile, weird timers. But I really like this one. It was on the fourth page of google and seems fairly new since it was on like challenge #31. It's heardle dot live. "Old K-Pop was so much better" when you only listen to the title tracks of the big groups. This is my favourite one. Nobody ever says that to start a productive dialogue or with good intent, they just want to farm upvotes by complaining and tell people they are a real fan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YywMIbdEZiU&list=RDYywMIbdEZiU 1st time watching it... Holy hell, what a performance! 3 high energy songs with full dance routines (plus special dance break for Mr Vampire) and live vocals. You can hear the exhaustion by the end of the 2nd song. MVP - Chaeryeong. Hitting those high notes and her vocals held stable for the longest. Hoping to see them perform these songs again in future shows/performances. submitted by /u/carlq [link] [comments]

13. Kpop is just sports but in a different sport

Think about it. People tend to be loyal to their 'team' (in this case group) they have shows where they compete against each other. Different fandoms have revelries with one another that varie in scope from fun banter to concern that they may actually attack one another. Sometimes we all gather in big stadiums and scream while some people run around being more athletic than we are. We have a ton of merch. I could go on but you get the idea. 15. What do you mean He used open AI to work on Kpop Demon Hunters?

Would it really have been that tedious for him to get a human co-writer instead of leaning on a machine built to put creatives like him out of the industry? Like does the team know? Probably since He feels like publicly announcing this aint a big deal. If this was allowed to slide what other aspects of the film were made with AI gen without us knowing? submitted by /u/Able-Web-7019 [link] [comments]

Pretty lost. Keep finding more and more mice in house, got pest control but seem to be seeing more mice since then. Trying to set traps myself and buying spray to seal holes but no idea where they are coming from. Can’t use cat I’m allergic. submitted by /u/Difficult_Win_2534 [link] [comments]
